Manchester United have just joined Edin Dzeko in turning Gameweek three upside down.

In 90 minutes of football, United simply blitzed a bewildered Arsenal, ravaged by injury and suspension, ill-equipped and unprepared for the waves of United attacks and individual brilliance thrown at them.

For Fantasy owners of Wayne Rooney and Ashley Young, United’s 8-2 win has brought a rare bounty of points that will have transformed their Gameweek scoring. Three goals and an assist from Rooney, a brace and and three assists from Young, the returns are beyond our wildest expectations and the stuff of nightmares for Arsenal fans and their beleaguered manager who could only watch on while their inexperienced and shell-shocked side were dismantled. Those Fantasy managers without the United pair are unlikely to feel much better – mini-leagues have been turned on their head by today’s events.

This afternoon will have a major impact on the Fantasy Premier League game with Young and Rooney now inevitably set to enjoy huge investment during the international break. Prices will rise, Wildcards will flutter – an extraordinary end to our Fantasy Gameweek.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    WOW! I'm just beginning to understand why some people give up after a few weeks. I won't, too pig awkward,but just seen my Metro scores and positions. Too embarssing to disclose,suffice to say they're not great. ðŸ™

    I did manage to tranfer Torres out for Dzeko right after the ManCity game. At first, It felt kind of strange doing the transfer so early but, really, Torres has to go and Dzeko look like a perfect replacement. Just hope that the site get fix soon so we can go on with our trading frenzy.

      random_guy, goto the transfers page, select the players you want in and out, then hit ok or whatever, then on the next page you will see a button that says use wildcard, click on that, then it will say confirm transfers using wildcard

      Get on http://www.footytube.com and have a look. Silva drew some GREAT saves from Friedel. He looked well involved, and I believe had more shots on target than Nasri. Unlucky not to get at least an assist if not a couple of goals. Nasri looked wicked too though, difficult to pick between the pair.

    Maybe a classic knee jerk, but I've done Bent and VDV to Dzeko and Young for a four point hit. VDV is goosed anyway and anyone without these two is likely to suffer bigtime. Could have waited but but both are likely to rise a lot over the next couple of weeks. Worth the risk of injury imo. 🙂

    Surely transferring now is crazy?

    Potentially you can gain/save 0.1 or 0.2m (one one or two thousandths of your total budget) of price changes... but there's an international week between this and next. A much more costly scenario is that one or two of your squad of 15 picks up an injury, then you may have to rethink completely.

    Am I wrong?

      Im concerned about him. Have him too, thought he'd be a keeper but with being subbed is a worry. Dont jump in tho, international break now, his price probably wont move. And don't change him for a bandwagon player!!!

    is it just me or is anyone else a bit worried about doing transfers now when most top players have 2 international games over the next 8 or 9 days? im sure there'll be a few injuries and teams will look a bit different in GW4

    yes i know there'll be price rises etc over the next week, but its prob only 0.1 or 0.2, but the risk of having to make another transfer or two and losing 4 or 8 pts outweighs this surely?

        2 international games are a lot in 9 days, especially when some players have to travel around the world in this time

      Depends on your situation. I was having doubts playing the WC; instead I did 3 early transfers (including RVP!). If things go wrong, I can still play the WC. I just could not stand the sight of Torres in my team anymore.
