Manchester United have just joined Edin Dzeko in turning Gameweek three upside down.

In 90 minutes of football, United simply blitzed a bewildered Arsenal, ravaged by injury and suspension, ill-equipped and unprepared for the waves of United attacks and individual brilliance thrown at them.

For Fantasy owners of Wayne Rooney and Ashley Young, United’s 8-2 win has brought a rare bounty of points that will have transformed their Gameweek scoring. Three goals and an assist from Rooney, a brace and and three assists from Young, the returns are beyond our wildest expectations and the stuff of nightmares for Arsenal fans and their beleaguered manager who could only watch on while their inexperienced and shell-shocked side were dismantled. Those Fantasy managers without the United pair are unlikely to feel much better – mini-leagues have been turned on their head by today’s events.

This afternoon will have a major impact on the Fantasy Premier League game with Young and Rooney now inevitably set to enjoy huge investment during the international break. Prices will rise, Wildcards will flutter – an extraordinary end to our Fantasy Gameweek.

    I genuinely cannot believe people have/had Torres and some have even captained him this season.

    The man (/little girl) has one goal in about 30 games - I honestly wouldn't have had him this year if he'd been 9m.

    To people who haven't played their wildcard,

    All those lovely players you think will get double price rises won't. The only ones likely to get a double price rise are Dzeko and Rooney. If you can get both by next week without using a wildcard, it won't be worth your while. It's too early on, you won't increase your value much and rue it when the double gameweeks start kicking in.

      Isn't one price rise almost as bad as two anyways tho?

      If you want Suarez, he's gone up 0.2, you add Rooney, Dzeko, Enrique and anyone else that has (or will) gone up by 0.1 and it starts to leave you at a pretty sharp handicap, especially with prices high as they are this year.

      Can you really afford to spend 0.6 more for the same players that other people have gotten for there starting price?

      I'm not saying your wrong Camzy, I'm just offering a different view, a reason why it might not be totally wrong to WC early.

        It could be the right move if your team has a strikeforce of Torres, Bent, Holt.

        But otherwise, most teams have Rooney in them, Dzeko is this week's transfer, and that leaves the likes of Suarez, Enrique, Silva, Bosingwa who have all already gone up.

        Not much to gain now.

        Quite a few teams can shoehorn risers in without needing to use the wildcard.

          Bent is one of the best strikers in the premier league, but unfortunately I have to let him go. He doesn't have supply anymore, Ashley Young is gone and only Agbonlahor remains. N'zogbia who who was supposed to take over Ashley's role is too selfish and immature.

    There are so many players now kicking into form its unreal - choices, choices

    Man United - Rooney, Young,
    Chelsea - Lamps, Mata? Bosingwa
    City - Dezko, Silva, Nasri, Aguero
    Liverpool - Enrique, Adam, Suarez...

    How the hell do you get some of them in your team? Which ones would you consider essential?

    I think Nasri may take away from Silva's returns now...

      I really don't see anyone as 'essential' though...people tipped RVP as essential all preseason (including myself), now I'm not even considering him.

      Not really. Those are the big guns for the teams, they're not all in form.

      I only really consider Rooney, Young and Dzeko in form. Consistent returns over the last 3 gameweeks.

      Chelsea can't possibly be called in form, Liverpool aren't really, and then you have the remaining Man City players who could all score huge on any given day. Any one of the 4 could score double figures in any given gameweek.

    Dzeko will be 8.7 and torres 10.8.. that's 0.4-0.5 lost..
    I want to do torres to dzeko for gw 4 for sure.. so even if someone else gets injured i'll be takin a 4 point hit to get dzeko at the end of this week
