The Captain Poll for this Gameweek is at full blast, with nearly 2,000 votes cast already. Manchester clubs dominate the proceedings, with United and City solely making up the top five.

Nani comfortably sits atop the pile with almost a third of the vote. The Portuguese winger has been in blistering form as of late with 3 goals and 3 assists in his last four Premier League outings. Given his freshness, having been used sparingly in the midweek Champions League draw with Basel, he looks nailed on to start against Norwich and continue delivering the FPL goods.

Unsurprisingly taking up a large chunk of the vote is eight-goal Sergio Aguero, whose City side face a Blackburn defence that has conceded 13 times already this term. With Carlos Tevez now indefinitely suspended and Edin Dzeko potentially benched after a ticking off of his own, it’s is easy to see why giving “Kun” the armband is once again proving popular.

Wayne Rooney’s bolt from the blue back to full fitness has seen him make a late dash into third place- there’s little doubt Rooney would be top right now had his availability been confirmed earlier in the week. Team-mate Ashley Young is flying high with the same overall FPL points total as Nani, but a quiet last 3 Gameweeks sees him come in at fourth.

David Silva completes the top five with the next midfield prospects Rafael Van der Vaart and Juan Mata, who face Arsenal and Bolton respectively, much further down the rankings, collecting just a handful of votes each. Strikers make up the rest of the top ten with Emmanuel Adebayor, Robin Van Persie and Didier Drogba all fetching votes. Danny Welbeck is also in the mix but much of his support was undoubtedly collected before the Rooney and Hernandez news came though.

There’s still time to cast your vote on the homepage before tomorrow’s deadline.

    Vorm
    Brown Bosingwa Kompany
    Sinclair Silva Nani SWP
    Adebayor Aguero(c) Suarez

    Bench: Given Moses Simpson Senderos

    Subs etc look ok? I'm tempted to play Simpson instead of Brown as Newcastle's defence has been doing ok under Pardew this season.

      Your team is the good. It is the lot like mine. So that is the why it is the good. You go Vorm? I think Vorm is, too. But...Is the Given not the more the easy game? Moses. I hope he is not to have the good game, yes?

    Hi evyerone, I'm new to the forum here. Had experience in other places, but this is a great place to be! Yay! Anyway, I'm scared to go to the doctor, but it seems that my balls are really BIG! What's wrong with me? Is it normal to have such big balls? Thanks!

    Having read injury reports earlier this week, and fancying a SUN CS this week, I just made following changes:

    Injured Rooney OUT > Tevez IN

    and

    Bosingwa OUT > Bramble IN

    Another high scoring week ahead
    This FPL lark is easy

    Afternoon Gents,

    Given (Moreira)
    STaylor Kompany Enrique Bosingwa(Wheater)
    Young Wright-Phillips Silva(Dyer, Moses)
    Best Aguero Rooney

    I have one free transfer and as I see it there are no urgent issues needing addressing. I'm thinking of saving and using 2 next week.

    Having said that, I'm half tempted by either of these:

    Young -> Nani
    Wheater -> Swansea defender

    Any thoughts on the best course of action? Anything I'm missing?

      Nice team, I have 5 in my squad. Here are my thoughts.

      Moreira out, Ruddy in - for the future not for this week. Ruddy actually plays and could pick you up some points as a backup.

      Wheater out, Simpson - Newcastle in - I know you already have 1 X Newcastle Def but this would also bank you £0.3M.

      Young - Personally I would keep him, rather than replace with Nani. It's a toss-up who performs best this week and why waste a transfer on it?

      Moses - I used to have him and he disappointed, he might come right but maybe sign Tiote in as 5th choice midfielder? You would bank 0.4M immediately. Tiote is also 80% of way to a 0.1M increase and Moses is 25% of way down to £4.8M. Tiote is also 11th out of all Mid's on PPI and could pick up some bonus points. Newcastle also have 5 decent fixtures coming up.

      I love your strikers and think Best is an excellent value for money choice.

        Thanks for the thoughts.

        Moriea is dead weight but I don't think I'll have the luxury of transferring him out until I wildcard.

        All good points, yes Moses is quickly outstaying his welcome. I think I'll hold off on the transfers this week though. Depending on how the Young vs Nani issue goes tomorrow I'm thinking my transfers next week will go one of two ways, depending on proceedings at Old Trafford:

        If Young performs or if it is unclear who is the better option between him and Nani:

        Wheater -> 4.0ish defender
        Moses -> Possibly Tiote as you have suggested

        Nani delivers, edging ever closer to "essential" status:

        Wheater -> 4.0ish defender
        Young -> Nani

    Afternoon Ladies,

    Opinions on if I am putting the right players on the bench please...

    Foster (Ruddy)
    Jones Kompany Gibbs (Simpson, Enrique)
    Nani Silva Petrov Barton (Mikel)
    Rooney (c) Aguero (vc) Ba

    Thoughts?

      My view on Bench:
      Ruddy, Gibbs, Enrique and Mikel

      You might also want to reconsider Rooney as Captain. With his recent injury?? it might be safer to put Nani in as Captain??

          That SURELY can't happen. Isn't a player only allowed to play for 2 clubs in any 1 season or something like that?

          If so then it would mean City wouldn't be able to sell Tevez in January (unless West Ham actually bought him in the next transfer window but i don't think that will happen somehow!)
