There’s nothing like the smell of a Derby in the morning.

The Dugout Discussion now opens as Everton play host to Liverpool in our early kick-off and with a bang things shall begin, one doth imagine.

Louis Saha finally returns to the Everton team as he replaces Phil Neville in the only changes for the hosts while the short-haul visitors also make a solitary change with Dirk Kuyt coming in for Jordan Henderson. Teams in full are…

Everton XI: Howard, Hibbert, Distin, Jagielka, Baines; Coleman, Rodwell, Fellaini, Cahill, Osman; Saha

Liverpool XI: Reina; Kelly, Carragher, Skrtel, Enrique; Kuyt, Lucas, Adam, Downing; Carroll, Suarez

The five remaining three o’clock fixtures, while not on quite the same level locally, promise just as much interest for the Fantasy Managers looking to snap up some big scores before another international break.

Eyes will then be firmly planted on the likes Nani and Wayne Rooney (at home to Norwich), David Silva and Sergio Aguero (visiting wayward Blackburn) and a feast of players from Barry Bannan to Steven Taylor as things wrap up a little earlier for Fantasy Managers today.

Unless, of course, you have a hankering for some punishment and decide another derby (Leicester visiting Derby, in fact). The 124 Fantasy Managers in our Texaco Fantasy Championship Scout League may be just mad enough. And me, the Leicester fan.

    Will be interesting to see how the city bonus pts are allocated. Four goals, Balotelli scored but was wasteful at times, Nasri will surely get the three, Silva was clearly the best player in the first half and picked up an assist but wasn't amongst the goals. What do people think?

          saurez was the best player by a mile he kept making the everton centre half switch places and played loads of little layoffs which bought adam and lucas up the pitch. i take it you looked at stats for carrol and did not watch the game

              Agree with most of what you´re saying but how many stat categories will Carroll actually get into when he didn´t really recieve the bal much and in turn didn´t make many passes compared to influential passes Sarez was involved in, as well as on target shot?

          suarez was poop? good lord what game were you watching. the boy pulls defenders all over the shop, terrific movement, great touch, a top finisher. in the old system he would be nailed on for 3 with carroll & enrqiue fighting it out for 2 & 1. I think Enrique will be in with a shout of maximum BPs.

            blackpool my team live in leicester and go to see them alot and my 2 freinds follow everton and sunderland so i really dont like liverpool but the whole of the everton midfield could not track saurez the whole game and hibbert and baines just offered the centre halfs no help. if it was not for downing being wasteful and general lack of ideas from carrol and kuyt then everton were there with 10 men for a 4/5-0 defeat and thats the differance city and utd smell blood and kill teams

    Love the failure of Aguero today, especially as so many were debating to captain him over Nani/Rooney. Also pleased at Dzeko's fall from grace - half of his points total has come from 1 match yet he still has such high ownership 🙂

        Seriously man, I recall you and ´And Now Back To Me´ pushing that meme. YET, yu failed to explain why he IS a one week punt. Someone would have to be a serious concern to be rotated to be a one week punt. I do recall the first few weeks being the Danny and Wayne show. With the BS narrative that SAF pushed that Chich was being rested from Copa America. When in reality Danny was and IS the strong complete player. Im sorry bro, but I´m going with the more dynamic scorer all day. When clearly SAF wants to get away from the type of players from last year (see Barça ownage).       I discussed with Attila that Alan probably wouldn´t rock the boat given the tomfoolery of Ba last week. I really expected some residual hitman sh·t from Best.
