In a new series of Members articles, we look to examine the progress of proven Fantasy talent, mining the Opta statistics and our own ICT Index to assess their progress so far and the likelihood of Fantasy profits in the future. The first player to fit the profile and come under scrutiny is Wolves’ Jamie O’Hara.

The former Spurs man has tested the patience of his Fantasy owners to the full so far this campaign- time after time he seems on the cusp of pulling out a substantial points haul, only to walk away with a blank. A miserly total of 14 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) points would suggest O’Hara is going missing in games for Wolves in the opening two months of the new campaign but closer analysis of his stats shows this is far from the case.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Ok, I will not make changes until next Friday but I am interest to hear whats general opinion here for next question. Who would you chose for next several weeks from next players, by fixtures, form and everything else except price, and that would be only player from that teams.

Lots of Ramsey love lately following his goal (and the FFS article) but either of the others could out score him. It's a tricky choice though, not much to separate them.

i think CHel coverage is currently better than TOT at the moment. if you take fixture aside, then VDV should score more

As im making my 2 transfers after week 9 uniteds tough 2 games are over

Would it be madness to have young and nani ?

I was thinking Nasri and Silva but united fixtures look quality after liverpool and city

Even if one of them is rested my first sub brunt could come in that game week

So as long as they both play a high % of united games over the season it could work well.

I got O'Hara at 34th pick (4th round) in the draft. Jarvis was the last man picked at 120th.
It rankles somewhat that I'm still waiting for Jamie's points.

I'm not sure Duff meets the description of 'proven fantasy talent' so perhaps won't be seeing analysis from an article like this.

However from my knowledge and a quick look up, last game Jol chose to play Dembele on the LW with AJ and Zamora partnered up front and Dempsey off the right wing.
Duff has missed game time in the last 2 in which the game before Kasami was given a full game role over duff.

Duff was promising in the first couple of weeks I remember quite a large shot count was clocking up, however that has since diminished and for his 5 games he has averaged 1.8 shots per game and 1.6 key passes per game (a pass that led to a shot)
Dempsey's shot clock is double that with the same quantity of key passes and he is a 'proven fantasy talent'. There are definitely better options with more solid roles in the team than Mr Duff 😉

Does it make sense taking a hit to transfer Enrique in for Shawcross.?

I've got a back line of

    Kompany. Bosingwa. Shawcross. Simpson. DeLaet.

NOR vs ars in GW9 without the hit looks a much better idea.

I, myself was thinking Brunt/Taarabt to Ramsey this GW. Will hara-kiri if Taarabt scores and I ship him out this GW. Had him all season. 6.5 mill - 2,5,2,6,3,2,1 points so far.

Well if you look on the Team sheet they have Ramsey stacked under RvP. And I´ve heard they´ve put Arteta in a more holding position...not sure about that though.

Both have scored goals recently and I'd like to point out that Murphy's goal threat really does rely on penalties and Ramsey's will rely on positioning. I wouldn't expect goals from them but rather feel lucky when they come.

However both are going to chalk up a lot of assists as they both play talisman roles in their team (although arguably Ramsey shares that moreso with Arteta)

I'm going to side with Ramsey as I rate 4 of the next 5 of Fulham's opponents as decent defensive units. Also Arsenal are more likely to blow out offensively than Fulham imo (despite the fact that I'd love Zamora to continue :p) Longer term fixtures also favour Arsenal 🙂

The way Arse play will allow Ramsey to get forward whereas, unlike Cesc, Arteta is playing in a deeper holding/guiding role. Ransey is a far better FPL prospect then Arteta (but I have the wrong player). That said, at home, Arteta looked excellent in attack so I'm doing SWP to Ramsey and playing both this gw, injuries allowing.

The problem with stats and the point you are missing here is that whilst o'hara has a high volume of shots and key passes, they are all from about 35 yards out whereas Silvas and the midfielders that are scoring are shooting inside the box. O'Hara's positional play is deep like modric, and like Modric will score the odd screamer and play a brilliant through ball, but unlike Modric he hasn't got quality forwards to finish off a 30 yard pass

My point entirely Granvillle - Ohara is basically a cheaper version of Modric - we should expect no more or less.
Don't get me wrong, I have Ohara & wouldn't touch Modric but it is on the basis that i know what to expect, and it is no where near what Silva will return despite stat similarities... You might even say he is a "Long-Shot" in more than one sense of the word (!)

But Silva is 10m and Modric 8m, you get what you pay for, but I think Spurs will become free scoring. A lot of Citeh's success in front of goal is down to an easy schedule which is about to stiffen up.

I think the problem is I'm looking at it from a more long term angle. On the short term I make you right.
Then again, for arguments sake I wouldn't class Silva as the same type of player as Modric or O Hara though.

Yup this is very true, most his shot zone averages out at about the edge of the box. However other than GW 1 he has played against reasonable defensive units (teams of which fantasy members would buy defenders from)
