Driving home for Christmas, we present you with the festive ScoutCast. Obviously only for those without passengers – we wouldn’t want to inflict this on unsuspecting souls.

A stocking brimming with the usual merriment, the episode comes with the annual added bonus of hearing myself and Mark exchanging “ironic” gifts as an act of “goodwill” one more.

Along the way we deliberate the Robin Van Persie helpline, the revolving doors being worked by Gareth Bale and Rafael Van der Vaart and the perils of double gameweek investment.

Merry Christmas from the ScoutCast!

Come pull your Christmas cracker here.

Alternatively, stream away on the handy player below…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    A. Ba -> Rooney, Baines -> Shawcross, Murphy -> Reo-Coker
    B. Ba -> Adebayor, Adam -> Nani, Baines -> Shotton

I have no attacking utd coverage and think I'm gonna need some for the next two gameweeks. Not too fussed about losing Baines for the dgw and stoke have two home fixtures. Planning on using the wildcard early enough in Jan so not really bothered about the team after next 3 gameweeks.
So big question; A or B?

    BAE to Evans

    Ramsey to Nani

    Over the next two weeks.

Also any idea when cup draw will be made, so we can see who we're up against?

Hi, I'm trying to find a decent mid to lower priced defensive or midfield option for the next 6-8 weeks. Do any of these sound any good, or is there someone better?

    a) Enrique
    b) Huth
    c) Larsson
    d) Etherington

I already have a defence and midfield of
    Jones Richards Walker
Silva Nani Bale & SWP (who I'm taking out)

it is tempting...Man Utd could get 4 clean sheets in next 6 games if Evans always plays, with Jones looking ok and Ferdinand likely to be back thats the only risk.

Valid point, although Stoke's home fixtures don't look too bad Avl, Wig, Wba. I'd prefer a decent scoring mid range midfielder though, but those seem to be in short supply this season!

You'll struggle to make more than .2-.3 profit while on the wildcard. However, being able to get a team of in form players who are rising in price will give you profits later on as you start to sell some of them. Not sure if this works now we're almost halfway through the season, it's more of a GW4 thing.

Better with a long GW but good when everyone else has wildcards too as there are more transfers.
Bandwagon A scores 3 goals, you know it's a one off and have no intention of getting him, but you buy him right away and during the GW his price rises 0.2. Then you can sell him for who you want before the end of GW and have 0.1 profit.

Do it with 4 or 5 players if the situation arises and you get free cash. Often you'll want to keep the player though so it's a way to hedge bets and protect if one of your players is falling. Sell them before they fall then buy back, you make yourself 0.1 that way too.

You basically bring in the players you know are going to rise straight away and hope they rise by 0.2 for you to make 0.1 profit, you then decide if you to keep them or sell on

    Question.
It's the time of year when lots of teams are 60-80% the same.
If you're winning a mini league (with a nice cash win) and 50 points clear of 2nd...do you
A, stick with agressive tactics (24 tfr's already)
B, be conservative now and play the odd's?

      Not really.
I can see the value but roonpig and Nani will be top 2/3 come end of season.
      Unless you're chasing.....

What are you thinking for captain, NANI or RVP?

Need someone else to blame when i inevitably pick the wrong one.

RvP has a record to break. C on RvP, VC on Nani.

You have Nani and RvP, I think you'll be fine. Ramsey to Drenthe after our two home games (for DGW).

You've already got 3 Man Utd so you can't get Rooney without wrecking things. Don't worry. But get rid of Ramsey soon.

I need Ba to rise for 0.1 until deadline at Monday and Sturidge not to rise. That way, I can make a direct swap without another transfer. What do you think, is that possible?

That is what I want. And to swap him for Sturidge after deadline. But I need Ba to rise and I would sell him for 7.3 and by Sturidge.

But I already made my transfers for this week, so now it would be for -4 hit, and I am not sure for that...
