Stephane Sessegnon produced again in Wednesday’s thrashing of Norwich, just as he did against Swansea in Gameweek 22. It was the goal and an assist returns from that that game that came in for us at 5/1 last time out, fuelling our efforts for this week’s Fantasy Flutter.

Sergio Aguero was amongst the City side frustrated by the Goodison rearguard on Tuesday, but we perhaps shouldn’t read too much into another blank from the Argentinian. As a rule, Aguero saves his goals for home matches and with three in four Gameweeks to come, Fantasy managers are preparing for increased profits. Those could start flowing against Fulham this weekend. Paddy post a confident yet short 4/5 on Aguero to score and City to win against Martin Jol’s side, however, 21/10 on a brace for £5 offers just a little more reward for our risk.

Robert Huth was a monster last season, converting six goals, a tally which made him a hot Fantasy property and led to a significant price rise going into this term. Huth has found it difficult to live up to that reputation, however, with goals hard to come by, despite posing a significant threat in recent weeks. Paddy are offering 14/1 on the big German to deliver a goal and Stoke to keep Sunderland out at the Britannia – that’s worth a cheeky quid of our money.

Victor Moses was squeezed out of the Scout Picks this week, but, as today’s Watchlist article reveals, the fixture list offers hope that the Latics man will start to turn his potential into points over the next few weeks. Despite Everton holding firm against Roberto Mancini’s league leaders at bay in midweek, the Latics are fighting for survival and with Hugo Rodallega set to return to offer a sharper cutting edge, Moses and Wigan could be good for a goal or two. Paddy aren’t so sure and have been generous here, offering 8/1 on a Moses goal and Wigan to win, with a Moses goal and assist double at 18/1. As the anytime odds for Moses are rarely better than 7/2 across the board, 8/1 for £2 is a no brainer.

Our triple treat – the “who’s score the most goals” special is back on the menu this week with the Scout Picks forward line – Robin Van Persie, Aguero and Demba Ba all vying for our cash. Rather than a quick quip or analytical snippet as per usual, Demba Ba’s return to Newcastle’s line-up and a price of 11/2 requires little justification. Our last two quid is in the hands of the returning Magpies hat-trick hero.

Money Back Special

Paddy have focused on the two big encounters for their Money Back Specials this week. Down at Stamford Bridge, if a penalty is scored in the match between Chelsea and United, Paddy Power will refund all losing first/last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast singles. Over at Anfield meanwhile, if Gareth Bale scores anytime for Spurs, Paddy will again refund all losing first/last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast single on the game.

Register and Bet £10 And Get £20 Free

If you’re new to this betting lark and new to Paddy Power then you can take up any of these odds and offers and get yourself a bonus. You can sign up via this site and get a free £20 when you register an account and bet a tenner.

Finally of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

Wildcard active, sell BAE, Enrique or both?

Obviously fixtures aren't great for either over the next four gameweeks, but ease up considerably from then on and both Spurs and Liverpool have nice run ins.

Other concern is what I stand to 'lose' value wise. 0.2m on BAE, which is admittedly not a big deal, but 0.5m on Enrique, which would make it quite difficult to get him back in. There's also the Liverpool dgw to consider.

The the defence I have planned without both is Richards, Huth, Taiwo, Simpson and Caulker (with Evans to come in GW28)

Having given it some thought I'm actually coming round to the idea of keeping Enrique, what do you reckon?

I posted same at end of last page. I lose 0.5M on both players. I am not selling both as I will need to find 1M to get both in come GW28 when their fixtures improve. I am rather torn, it is easier for you to decide. I am personally keeping Enrique because I think that they will keep more CS over rest of season that Spurs. I could be wrong though, but i am going with my gut and selling BAE

If I had both, I would keep both, but that's just me...

I have Enrique and I'm definitely keeping him, granted he will be on the bench for most of this month though...

I really don't see the point in dropping BAE, I mean if you play him in his home games against NEW & MUN, you never know he might get a cheeky assist or even a CS... last year Spurs got clean sheets at home to both those teams...

      Good luck with your decision...

      Something like this...

      Weather Warning
      Friday 3rd February

An YELLOW WARNING of SNOW has been issued for Wales, central southern Scotland and England (excluding Devon and Cornwall).

Outbreaks of sleet and snow will spread from the west on Saturday morning. Accumulations of 2 to 5cm are likely, mainly on ground above 150m, with perhaps 10cm on roads above 300m. Snow will turn increasingly to rain on lower ground, before clearing from the west by evening. After dark falling temperatures will then lead to risk of widespread ice.

Valid from 0600 Saturday until 1800 Sunday.

      Friday 3rd February

An AMBER WARNING of SNOW has been issued for northern, central and southeastern parts of England.

A band of wet weather over Northern Ireland and western Scotland early Saturday will move slowly east and southeastwards across the United Kingdom during the day. As it does so it will readily turn to sleet and snow away from western and southwestern coastal areas. Accumulations of 5-10cm are widely expected across northern, central, eastern and southeastern areas of England. The snow is expected to turn to rain over some northern areas later. As skies then clear in this area after dark, icy patches will develop. The public are advised that this is likely to lead to some travel disruption, and it is recommended to keep up to date with forecasts as the event approaches.

Valid from 1200 Saturday until 2359 Sunday.

      Friday 3rd February

      YELLOW EARLY WARNING of SNOW

A band of snow over eastern parts of England, with accumulations of 5-10cm widely, will slowly clear eastwards, turning generally lighter and to rain as it does so. Behind this, clearing skies may lead to widespread icy patches forming. The public are advised that this is likely to lead to some travel disruption and to keep up to date with forecasts as the event approaches.

Valid from 0001 Sunday to 1200 Sunday.

    Thoughts on this WC team?

    Krul, Mignolet
    Kompany, Verm, Evans, Simpson, Caulker
    Bale, Silva, Valencia, Sess, Buzsaky
    RVP, Ba, Morison

Leaves me with 1.5m in the bank. Any room for improvement?

Had exactly the same dilemma and got rid.

Transferred in Ba but almost went Cisse/Zamora for 2 weeks

I'd save it for this week, but Ferdinand v Flethcer is a risk, but probably your best bet. Only striker for 0,5 who could replace Fletcher is Gerbil.

I won't be able to make any changes for next week so this team has got to be good for the next 2 GW's:

    Vorm (Al-Habsi)
Kompany Hill Riise (2.Simpson 3. Bardsley)
    Silva Valencia Bale Sessegnon (1.Mclean)
    RVP Dzeko Sturridge

1 free transfer and 2.6 in the bank.
Hill > Taiwo for the free and wasn't going to make any other changes. I'm not sure on who to (C) because the fixtures over the next two weeks don't suit all of players. Thoughts?
