Doos, have 1 more FT. Just got Dempsey for Sess. There is no need to get Kun/Tevez, right? It would be a 8 point swing to get one of them in and then out as I want Ade for the DGW. Kun/Tevez would have to score a tleast a hat-trick and Rooney to draw a blank to justify it.

I might be considered crazy for chopping my team around like this, but was looking for some thoughts on these ideas. I still have my WC and am totally unconvinced by almost all DGW players, with the exception of P. Cisse and HBA. My mini league leader is currently a whopping 150 points ahead of me so I’ve got a lot of chasing to do. He doesn’t have a WC.
My current team is this:
Vorm / Bogdan
Caulker / Vermaelen / Cahill / Evans J / Simpson
Walcott / Sigurdsson / McClean / Sessegnon / Valencia
Rooney / Van Persie / Aguero
I’m considering the following WC team to play in GW35:
Vorm / Bogdan
Caulker / Vermaelen / Kompany / Evans J / Simpson
Walcott / Sigurdsson / Ben Arfa / Dempsey / Valencia
P. Cisse / Tevez / Aguero
This leaves me enough in the bank to upgrade one of Tevez/Aguero back to RVP/Rooney. Taking one week at a time I think that Cisse/Tevez/Aguero are where most of the goals are at. I then have one free transfer before GW36 to bring in another DGW player if I want to which would give me a total of 6. Could be FPL suicide but I think for GW35 at least, this team looks strong. Thanks in advance!
I'm in similar position on wildcard and plan to use it in GW36. If you're 150 points back you need to be looking at taking a big risk for GW36. Get at least 9 or 10 DGWers. Chelsea have 2 home games, Spurs might start playing, Newc are on form and Stoke also have 2 homers.
2 or 3 from each of those teams plus Dempsey, Bogdan, Pienaar (on form) and you might get 11 good players out. Having Tevez and Aguero for the game against Utd seems plain silly.
Well tomorrow I'll know if I'm a Trinity Scholar (although I know I haven't gotten them, disastrous chemistry exam 😀 ) Not great waiting to find out the results, they aren't important to me but the college makes a huge deal over them. Making it difficult to focus on my real exams 😀

Don't know if you saw my response on the last page but if you are doing Rooney to Jelavic GW36 for a hit then Rooney to Tevez GW35 is a 4 point hit, not an 8 pointer. I think Carlos will outscore Rooney by at least 4.
Yes, but i don't want Tevez past 35, so it's another hit to take him out, thus it's an 8 point hit.
GW35 keep Rooney
GW36 Rooney to Jelavic 4 point hit

Cost of having Tevez over Rooney for GW35 is 4 points. If Tevez outscores Rooney by more than 4 points it pays off.

I think what Milanista was saying is that if you were transferring out Rooney anyway for 36, the extra hit is only 4. Transferring Tevez out is the same transfer you would have done with Rooney.

Not just the DGW but the 2 weeks following it. Seems to me that lots of people are overdoing the significance of this Dgw. Not too much value bearing in mind teams involved and you're not gonna want some of the players people are drafting in after the DGW is over.
They rarely live up to the hype anyway - maybe just 1 or 2 players who will benefit from the extra fixture. Maybe Dempsey and Cisse?

GW 35: Sess -> Dempsey
GW 36: Taylor -> Baines, Walcott -> Bale for a 4pt hit
but now feeling worried about City strikers. Worth bringing one in? If so, which? Can't bring myself to dump RVP, and definitely want Cisse for DGW, so would have to be for Rooney (and probably a 4pt hit).
I am going to bench all my Newcastle defenders this week in the hope they concede. Just cos they have such high ownership it seems my best way of climbing the rankings, provided they dont keep a cleanie of course
