As the scrap for survival enters the final four Gameweeks of the season, today’s Members article assesses the top performers from the bottom five sides over each side’s respective last four fixtures. Using our own ICT Index and the Opta stats available, we analyse the top five from each of the relegation candidates, assessing their form and the potential offered ahead of what will prove to be a frantic finish to the 2011/12 Premier League campaign. As luck would have it, this also doubles up as an assessment of those players in form amongst the ranks of Villa and Bolton – those teams with two fixtures in Gameweek 35…

It's only the 'safe' option if your rivals are also doing the same. Could get messy if they have jumped on the Tevez/Aguero bandwagon without you.

Im in same boat , 60 point lead , just know rival will bring in and capt Tevez.
I think safest play this week is just to save tranfers and hope for the best. Chances are either Rooney or Van Persie will do well this week , and by leeping both you have more time to decide which one to lose for the double.

Pretty much but not 100% definite. He's mainly there due to injuries. McLeaish could always replace him with Warnock, but it looks like Warnock will be playing on the wing when fit.

ok so im planing on bringing in 3 dgw players over the next 2 weeks for a 4 point hit..

    A. Rooney to adebayor
    B. Walcott to Dempsey
    C. Sessegnon to Benarfa (sess benched this week valencia playing instead.. so if i do C this week then valencia benched)

what order should i do these in

currently think B this week and A C next week.. but even C can be done this week right.. BC this week anyone?

B - You definitely want Dempsey in this week.
C - Newcastle have a decent GW35 fixture, but then Sunderland are playing a poor Villa side, albeit away.
A - Rooney is potential captain material so you can hold off on that one.

I agree Epic. Man City have been so poor away from home. I know its wolves but to get rid of RVP is not good imo, Chelsea will surely rest some knowing that CL is the priority and Arse fixtures ok.. Rooney to MC forward seems popular here but even if he has not been playing that well he has still been getting points and he has no selection issues hanging over him, pens too.

Mu plan is to keep Rooney this week and then rid of him for a double gameweek striker. Just my opinion and hope im not proved horribly wrong

You could probably say Aguero edges it due to being cheaper and more than likely still on pens.

But then Tevez is a proven points scoer both home and away unlike Aguero.

Right, I think I've decided to stick with my original plan and keep Sess, swap Walcott for Dempsey, save the other transfer and play Bale. How does this look -

    Bogdan
    Sagna Evans Simpson

    Rooney Cisse RVP

    Vorm Sess Turner Cahill

Haven't decided on El Jefe yet or the subs order. Any glaring errors there?

        It's either

If I were you I'd definitely do C). RVP can score against anyone, so don't be too surprised if he does well this week.

I could get Cech but I already have Bogdan so would be negating a DGWer there. Reckon it's worth it?

Yeah in that case you'd rather spend your transfer elsewhere. A nailed-on starter in the DGW isn't worth transferring out/benching.

            Any chance Wenger rests Walcott?

Always a chance, but I'd say very, very unlikely. If we lose tomorrow then 3rd place is out of our hands. I think the team he puts out will be as full strength as possible. Ox to come on with 30 mins to go.

    deadzoners 你好!

    front 3 is:

    bendtner/rvp/rooney

in preparation for GW36, i'm thinking about doing

    bendy>papiss
    rooney>aguero

will give me tasty fixtures in GW35, in addition to 2 more DGW players. need to do the second to finance the first, 4pt hit.

issue is doing the above would give me a selection headache this week, with a midfield of

valencia/petrov/bale/dempsey/siggy (can't really imagine dropping any of them)

should i leave bendy>papiss to next week and have a 3-5-2 this week, or drop one of the mids and have a 3-4-3 with papiss/rvp/aguero up front this week?

or should i leave it all alone for this week and do both transfers free next week?

    many thanks!

If I bring Martin Petrov in for a 4 point hit, it will mean benching Bale in GW35 and Valencia in GW36.
Will Petrov's four matches bring 4 more points than Bale's GW 35 and Valencia's GW 36?

      that's a tough one.

if it were the other way around (benching valencia in GW35 and bale in GW36), i'd say it's not worth it.

however, you've got the benching about right, as you'd defo want valencia this week and bale next, so i guess i'd go B.

      A - No brainer

Bolton are crap and Dempsey is at home

Silva is just part of a many-pronged City attack, and Bale not in-form enough to be a go-to guy when on the road.

Okay many thanks for all the answers and A was what I was thinking too.

      This is the situation:

Me and my closest rival will be playing almost indentical teams this week. The only differance is he has Silva and I have Siggy. I know he has just brought in Bale for Sess (worked it out from transfers/squad value/bank). I am 53pts ahead. Therefore do I match him and bring in Bale so it's down to Siggy vs Silva or raise him and bring in Dempsey for Sess, thereby the scenario above?

It is also our H2H this week. And this before a DGW.....maddness

I guess now that we have something to play for at Nou Camp, all the good ones are going to be rested for 1 game at least during the PL.

Mata still remains the best option, Lamps could be a differential punt due to his set-pieces. Consider either only if they don't start at Nou Camp.

Hey ENR...if Torres starts Saturday and Drogs starts on Tuesday, are you as tempted as me to go Rooney>Torres for DGW? My thinking is that Drogs will play CL and FA Cup and Torres will play the league.

CHE has the most favorable fixture in DGW.

It's very iffy as it all boils down to how many games Drog can start. What you said could happen or Drog might start NEW (considering it's a very vital match to decide 4th place) & Liv (FA Cup), and Torres might start QPR & liv (PL).

This RVP/Rooney vs Tevez/Aguero dilemma has gotta be one of the most debated on here this season correct? What else has had such quantity of comment?

What will probably be best for everyone (especially this site) will be if they all just hit 2pts. If one or two perform and the others don't this place will go into meltdown. If three perform and one doesn't, that isn't worth thinking about.

Season defining moment coming up for many me thinks.....

Absolutley a season moment. Imo..,you cannot look at GW 35 on its own. When making this decision, i personally think you must look at it as part of a 3 week plan, and can the resulys can only be assesed after GW 37.

This is my personal reason for NOT doing RVP/Rooney>Tevez/Aguero.

      Make sense?

Agree Canadian, if i got a MC fwrd it wld be for 1 week at the expense of Rooney, i am happy to be without, keep rooney and rvp and then rooney to double gameweek forward next.

This is just my opinion and i can understand others going for Tevez/ Aguero, guess alot depends on your priorities ie leading or chasing in leagues

Not to bad. Same as every year. Start slow, get to around 15k halfway thru and then come tumbling down in spectacular fashion(Gw24, not (c)Rvp vs Blackburn) and then starting the slow recovering process.

I've had 9 or 10 green arrows in a row. Currently 5500th. tempted to gamble with Kun(c) to try and get to top1k.

He has, he brought in Aguero and will captain for sure. I worked it out from transfers/team value and bank. As I'm 53pts ahead, I had to do the same, although I wanted to bring in Tevez. He did not have the money.

So I'm playing to win my ML first and overall rank second. Damage limitation and hold my lead in preperation for the DGW when he will go for it with about 4 or 5 transfers....
