Incredible. I never thought Iā€™d live to see that the Michael Thomas moment topped but the drama of Sergio Agueroā€™s injury time winner was simply breathtaking. The repercussions of Cityā€™s win could be hugely significant to English football. That one goal could spell the start of a football dynasty – a new era. Extraordinary stuff.

While Fantasy Football took a backseat against the backdrop of such historic scenes, itā€™s ironic that Agueroā€™s at the death strike suddenly turned the Fantasy Premier League title race on its head. As the sole owner of Aguero in the top three and with the armband on the Argentinian, Scout League leader Gary McLean came from behind to draw in sight of the FPL title. Cruelly, however, the yellow card received in the goal celebrations may well have snatched it from him. A Fantasy season turns on such fine margins.

As the dust settles, we now await the FPL bonus before we can fully assess matters. With a handful of points in it, McLean faces an anxious wait. Unlike Roberto Mancini, nobody can really celebrate just yet ā€“ an anti-climax on an incredible day.

An incredible season in fact. Iā€™d go so far to say itā€™s been one of the best in Fantasy terms. We endured a stalled start, but the emergence of an almost ever-present Robin Van Persie, a stunning first season for Aguero and the January emergence of Papiss Cisse and Nikaca Jelavic, all provided the ingredients for a superb, rollercoaster nine months. Clint Dempseyā€™s goals, the constant battle to find clean sheets amongst lemming-like defences: Fantasy managers were given challenges and puzzles at every turn. Regardless of your final rank or league position – it’s been far from dull.

Itā€™s been a real pleasure to be involved and share it all with you all. Again, itā€™s been a year of great progress for us at the Scout. The contributions of the team have, yet again, been superb. The contributions that you, the community, have made to what weā€™re trying to put together, again extraordinary.

Now weā€™re gearing up to go again. Weā€™ll be with you over the Summer to cover your Euro 2012 Fantasy experiences. Our guides to tournament start soon. Weā€™ll have an announcement of another game partnership to come next week and theyā€™ll be more site improvements. More ideas and plans will hopefully come to fruition. I donā€™t play golf and I burn in the sun – I simply donā€™t rest over the Summer.

    Wow, what a fantasy season it's been. This time last year I had just seen the end of an incredibly lucky final 3 weeks for my 2010/11 fantasy team where my rank had rocketed to 56k. I was in dreamland. I said to myself this season that if I could get that luck once again, I might be in with a shot of top 50k. I'm now 12k with 49 pre bonus points under my belt for GW 38. If you had told me this back in August I'd have you tried for blasphemy. I know 12k isn't anything special for a FFS user but I owe so much to this website. Literally.

    180 euros and three free pizzas to be exact.

    Such bad luck today, Walker goes off (Missed clean sheet), Evans actually fit (Missed clean sheet), VDV goes off before 60min and Yaya goes off before half time. 33 points this week, absolutely horrendous

      Like the look of it a lot, except for Fabregas and Rosicky. Iniesta and Yarmolenko seems better options imo. Jelavic's international form is poor enough so I wouldn't be confident at all having him on the team especially with such a tough group.

      Btw, I don't get the whole big deal with Zhirkov. Sure, he'll probably play in midfield. If he plays. His starts actually aren't assured and I would fork out the extra 0.5 for Ignashevich anyday.

        I should rephrase that. Zhirkov has only played 90 minutes in 8 of his last 17 internationals. Imagine missing out on a clean sheet because a player gets subbed off after 55 minutes? Zhirkov could yet provide that gutting feeling.

    This was my first season playing this and damn, I sucked for the first 3 months and was 2nd bottom in my mini-league. Then I figured it out, read this website, and finished top by about 140 points. Thanks folks!

    I owned Moses GW1-3 and GW37-38. His scores were 22321. I shouldn't be surprised with an average of 2 points per game from the 2 point king. Never again.

    fanatstic end of the season for me

    i managed to win my ML cause i was stick with Rooney and Jelavic

    my defence was great as well

    i dont get why ppl bench Evans to be honest??even if he was injureed he woldn't play and you will always have option to came off bench
