Versus – Tevez and Aguero

As we count down the days to Saturday’s Premier League kick-off, the Carlos Tevez – Sergio Aguero conundrum has become a major issue for Fantasy managers after the former’s scintillating strike and strong display against Chelsea in Sunday’s Community Shield.

Having looked at the City midfield area in Monday evening’s Technical Area piece, we now turn our attentions to the Argentine duo’s performance against the Blues but first of all, we use the Members Area Comparison Tool to gauge their respective displays over the final four Gameweeks of 2011/12 to look for the similarities within Roberto Mancini’s new formation:

All other than Arsenal and Stoke for me.. I'd expect us to get a clean sheet this weekend but think it might be a rare occurence for the first couple of months of the season!

    ########################################################

Instead of torres + 3 mil ive decided to go different

    ########################################################
i dont see myself being able to justify rvp for 13 mil after 1 game! Need to see him and rooney a bit longer to see what happens.

Cant decide tevez or aguero either.

So compromise . . . .no money in bank (thats pure waste anyway!!!!!)

    Result is this:

    De gea fed

    Zab cole hang macartney clyne

    Bale valencia dyer noble guithre

    Aguero tevez torres

Please rip this apart. Very worried. But 3 mil sitting in the bank was awful

I actually think this is great idea. I was looking at Wayne myself, but this seems to provide more options. I suppose you could find 0.5m just incase you want to change Aguero to Wayne.

What do you think of my team?

      de Gea, Federici
      Zabaleta, Hangeland, Cuellar, Fabio, Demel
      Ramires, Bale, Pienaar, Noble, Maloney
      Aguero, Tevez, Rooney

    Foster/Green
    Cashley/Hangeland/Williams/Clyne/Gunter
    Bale/Mata/Pienaar/Michu/Kaca
    Torres/Aguero/Petric

2m in the bank. I was thinking of replacing Petric with Graham and downgrading Michu to get VP or should I downgrade Aguero to Tevez? And do my GKs look alright? I could go with Mig/Fed too. Thanks.

I don't know why people favour Lrsson over McClean tbh. Yeah he's on set pieces but McClean creates far more from open play. Larsson scored 27 pts more than McClean last season but played 850 more minutes.

Yes but you have to remember that the latter half of a season is completely different to the first half. Teams get tired and their defence may slip not to mention that McClean was as fresh as a daisy. Either are great options it's just that Larsson looked sharp in the Euros and McClean hadn't played any football over the summer (might take him a few games to get fitness back)

He should be nailed on for both games but we're just about to sign this new RB so he may be at risk for the second game IMO. Why take the risk when you can go with an equally as good Cole at the same price?

    repost:

I’ve done an analysis of the previous scout post to see whhich team/players pop up the most (after Aguero of course):

    1st 2nd 3rd
    Top Points: Aguero Rooney/Bale
    Top Bonus: Aguero Rooney
    Differential: Nzogbia Snodgrass/Vertonghen/Gervinho/Gerrard/Baines
    Budget Keeper Schwarzer/Mignolet Given/Federici/Jaas/Foster
    Budget Def: S Taylor Shawcross/Da Silva/Ridgewell/Boyce/Hangeland
    Budget Mid Pienaar Larsson/Michu/McClean
    Budget Fwd: Graham Cisse Lambert
    Most Assists: Mata/Silva Larsson/Valencia/Kagawa/Cazorla
    Most Clean Sheets: City ManU

Equal votes are shown as /

So the ideal team would include:
Aguero, NZogbia, Schwarzer/Mignolet, S Taylor, Pienaar, Graham, Mata/Silva with at least 1 ManU and 1 City Defender. According to the Scout team that is.

Saw some people discussing Valencia playing RB earlier, just read a quote from SAF may suggest its Rafael who will play on Mon night:

“Phil Jones, Chris Smalling and Jonny Evans are all still out,” Sir Alex revealed. “Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand played on Monday, Rafael is back from the Brazil team and Patrice Evra played for France in midweek and is available. That will more or less be the way we will be going.”

So Rafael Rio Vidic Evra it is?
