                they bought him after he had scored 9 goals in 23 games for liverpool. He lost his pace and something else after some injuries to the knee if I am not mistaken. If you think 9 in 23 is best in the world than we have a very different idea on what the best in the world means.

        On SSN they explained that by handing in a request Everton could forego some sign-on fees, which would make the deal more palatable to them. So they may have said if you want the transfer you have to hand in the request.

      I find it hard to understand why a club like Utd have left it so last minute to get the midfielder in they need. I get that Bale going creates movement, but you would've thought deals could've been done in principle for players prior to the Bale one.
