So what? Not all of us have multiple spare hours every day to trawl through the posts. When I come on I like to sift through and dig out some opinions. Granted, there is always the fair share of crap to sift through but this is beyond that. It's the good stuff mixed in with the crap, being around 25-30% good stuff. We're down to about 10% now.

Despite being a co-organizer of the tournament, I totally get your point. I would be bummed myself, if I wasn't a part of the tournament, or had no clue of what was happening.
A few things you should note though -:
a) We did this precisely during the international break, so as to no upset the masses, this being the least active times in FPL
b) Normal FPL discussion is still on in full flow....We're not putting a lid to that, and our idea is not to take over all discussions.
c) Have you ever taken a part in such tournament? They really light up things from the sometimes dull world of FPL and inject life into the competition

I'm currently ranked 2.2 millionth, having already played my wild card and with some dead rubber in my team. I've already taken a -4 hit this week.
This is my third season, both of the last two years I've finished in the top 4k.

I finished just outside 4k last season, and I am currently ranked 1.1 millionth myself. I don't think it's the end now though. There will be a lot of dead teams soon, and once we get the hang of the new season, or when it stabilizes, that's when we'll start moving up the ranks I think.

I had a terrible start last year but was able to turn it around and finished roughly top 5k. Long, long way to go. Consistency is the key, particularly late in the season. If you have one good month you can be right up there, especially if you can nail it with your captains on any kind of consistent basis.
