At last year's ICC or whatever it was called, I actually tried to join. However I probably wasn't well-known or liked enough to get a spot. Not only are these comps annoying, they are designed only for a small group of regulars and not open and community friendly at all.

I think they tried to address this situation by launching the FA cup this year. It had numerous spots up for grabs and basically most of the community have been drafted into it.

Not really true mate, most of early entries are long term regulars so it is natural they will fill places early, they guys have actually made more places available this year with this one as well as plenty of other comps.
I have said before almost all people who want a place will get one, there are even some guys who are regarded as complete tools who have places so not elitist.

I find it hard to comment on this as I am not really a pogba fan. I think he is overrated as are most of Italian teams as well as Juve. That league is close to Erdivisie level right about now and Europe games are showing it. He was also a headcase, so no place for players like him at United. It is all about the club, for him it was all about him. Whenever he got a chance at United he always stunk up the place I dont see how he would have deserved a place so soon
