Today brings a close to our series of articles that examine the new BPS system introduced to the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) format this summer. Having focussed on Pass Completion and Creativity in the first two instalments, all that remains left to cover are the relevant defensive statistics.

When it comes to defensive actions, the FPL breaks down the awarding of BPS as follows…

For every 8 clearances, blocks and interceptions (total)
For every 8 recoveries
Making 3 successful tackles (net*)
*Net successful tackles is the total of all successful tackles minus any unsuccessful tackles. Players will not be awarded negative BPS points for this statistic.

    Michu....poyet impact on sland

Have 2FTs and have to use one or lose it...

    A Walker to Glen Johnson
    B Nastasic to Kolarov
    C Nastasic to Chico
    D Nastasic to someone else?

The burning question at the front of everyone's mind...

Will Soldado start or has Defoe won a chance to start?

I'd go form over fixtures. Lambert has some, Soldado has none. Could keep Soldado, he scores a goal, then you'll keep him longer than he should be kept. It baffles me why AVB doesn't give Defoe a few PL starts, unless Levy is picking the team?

I'm biased re Soldado. Saw him in GW1 v Palace on Sky. Made up my mind, no pace, poor positional sense, against a poor side. Is like Giroud last season, needs time to adapt to PL.

Look at his stats for the last two weeks. Compare them to the first two weeks or any other two week period. You need to be sure that that is an anomaly rather than his new trend.

You have people down as doubts who have been passed fit by their managers. In conclusion this post is a waste of time and total misinformation.

I'm backing Suarez (c) to end the midday hoodoo & Remy in a high scoring game for both teams 🙂

looking at Eriksen's stats and he looks like another Silva.....hardly any shots at goal. Think i'll be benching him this week

->0.1M in bank & have 2 FT, I don't like to get it lapsed. Need to do something.

I tried all the possibilities like Mosses & Yanga out for

    1) Amalfitano & Ridgewell [ tough fixtures]
    2) Januzaj & Coleman [not reliable]
    3) Ramsey & cheap def to bench [may not play]

I have the same thing, happy with the side but have 2FTs.

I'd be sorting out Moses first, and save your other FT for next week.

Yes. Max of 2FTs, but you gain one next week so takes you back up to 2FTs.

This international break and next mid week games are really annoying!!

      How is Coleman not reliable?
I'd leave Moses in. Whittingham to Januzaj looks nice.
Or Yanga to another cheap defender.

Moses to Barkley, Ramsey or Januzaj are options.

      It's def between A and B. I'm going A myself.
I also have Suarez to complete my front line... I've had a really tough choice, but I don't think it matters that much TBH. A and B are both good picks. Whoever outscores the other is mostly down to chance I reckon.

I'd start Moses ahead of Ramsey this week I think.
Spend ur transfer on a defender. Moses is a decent pick atm

I have Ravel myself. But if I were bringing in fresh blood it'd have to be Brady.

    Decisions, decisions.
Rooney Suarez Giroud front line ATM, want Lukaku but worried about tripling up on Everton (Baines and Barkley.) Tempted by Rooney -> Lukaku this week then an upgrade on Barkley next (Paulinho maybe).
I also want rid of Yaya I think, not gonna have set pieces with Silva back I believe?

In my opinion, it would be mad to drop any of those 3 strikers this week. But then at the same time it will b e very frightening not having Lukaku this week.

Thats my issue, I feel Utd will struggle against Sot and Everton may put a few past Hull. But that's my intuition and it has been very wrong so far this season

if Bale were black, then people cannot call him a monkey anymore, because that suddenly become racist.
but when he is white, monkey or donky kong is acceptable nicknames.

different, white people, such as Bale were not subject to the level of racism as many others, so we should note this and be respectful and sensitive.
