Arsene Wenger expects Laurent Koscielny to be available for Arsenal’s home game against Palace. Roberto Martinez has doubts over a quartet of players for Everton’s trip to Leicester. Loic Remy will be assessed prior to QPR’s opener with Hull, Sam Allardyce rules out Matt Jarvis for London derby with Spurs, while West Brom boss Alan Irvine confirms Joleon Lescott and James Morrison will miss the visit of Sunderland:

Arsene Wenger has confirmed he will be without his World Cup winning trio for the visit of Crystal Palace. The Gunners boss has suggested that Laurent Koscielny should be fit and available to face the Eagles, though, after the defender was subbed off in last week’s Community Shield win over City with an Achilles problem. Theo Walcott, David Ospina, Serge Gnabry and Ryo Miyaichi are all sidelined through injury, though Abou Diaby has returned to full training.

Roberto Martinez has confirmed that Romelu Lukaku, Kevin Mirallas and new signing Christian Atsu will all be assessed before a decision is made on their availability for tomorrow’s visit to Leicester. The trio were all involved in the World Cup and have had a limited pre-season. Meanwhile, Seamus Coleman has returned to training after a hamstring injury, though Martinez concedes it’s still too early to tell whether the defender will be available for the weekend.

QPR boss Harry Redknapp remains hopeful that Loic Remy will be ready to feature against Hull, with the Frenchman expected to take part in training. Elsewhere Adel Taarabt seems likely to miss out, with Redknapp going on to say that the Moroccan isn’t yet fit having not participated in training at all during pre-season.

Matt Jarvis has been ruled out of the London Derby with Spurs through injury and joins Andy Carroll on the sidelines, confirms Allardyce. New signing Enner Valencia looks likely to miss out, with the Hammers boss “still waiting” on the Ecuadorian to get up to full fitness.

West Brom could hand a debut to summer signing Brown Ideye, with the Nigerian in contention to make the squad, for the home game against Sunderland, according to Alan Irvine. The Baggies boss though, has ruled out both James Morrison and Joleon Lescott, though, with both missing out through knee injuries.

Paul Lambert has confirmed Ron Vlaar will be available for Villa’s trip to Stoke. The Dutchman has played just 45 minutes of pre-season after featuring in the World Cup but his manager revealed he has “no worries” over the defender’s fitness levels for tomorrow’s match.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official twitter stream as breaking news unfolds.

So i believe that my team is really close to being where I want it to be, but still worrying a bit about my defense and had to rethink it now that Pulis have left Palace.

    Jones-Huth-Van Aanholt-Coloccini-Clyne

Is it worth downgrading either Van Aanholt, Colo or Clyne to upgrade Huth to Shawcross, or should I leave it as it is? I will play Jones and the Stoke defender for nearly every game during the first 8 gw's or so, while the 3 rest of the defender rotates with Clyne being first choice but will be benched depending on fixtures. Any changes I should make? Thanks! 🙂

I could do Colo to a 4 mil and spend the extra cash to upgrade Jones to Luis, but the extra 0,5 could also be used to upgrade Huth to Shawcross.

Toying with going for this lineup, the big hitters make it easy to make transfers to lower valur players perhaps saving on the obligatory early season wildcard. Thoughts?

    Foster (any 4.0)

    Vlaar - O'Shea - Chester - Cameron - Colo

    Yaya - Ramsey - Siggy - Henderson - Marney

    Rooney - Sturridge - Costa

I would personally have a 4.5 keeper to rotate with Foster.

Going on the usual format, it's either Expensive + 4.0 or rotate 2 x Cheapies.

I have Foster & Krul, certainly to start the season

Why would Burnley sign Scottish International GK Gilks once they moved to the Prem if they didn't intend to start him or least rotate with Heaton?

Do we think he'll get a look in or will Heaton rule the roost?

Terry is getting on a bit now. Guaranteed not to play every game.

Methinks Mourinho will prioritise him with his experience for the big premiership and champions league games. Meaning that he may be the worst possible investment.

Dzeko will most likely start this weekend. Giroud might make an appearance from the bench.

If you not a fan of City's fixtures (Arsenal's isn't that great too tbh) then go with Giroud? But City tend to score regardless of opposition.

Do you not think that Wenger is planning on cycling his 3 forwards this year? For preseason it clearly suggests he is.

The 1 More Sleep Sanity Check

::CH's 10 Rules of Fantasy:: have you honoured them all??

    1. Cheap Keepers - all the decent starting keepers get you around 120-130pts
    2. Fixtures over Coverage - covering the top 7 is hard to resist, but wasteful
    3. Form over Four. Just because you are from a big-4 club, doesn't make you a better asset than a smaller club's star man for same price or cheaper.
    4. 2 nailed on set&forget DEF - Don't spend time in the transfer market fluffing around with defenders.
    5. No POO!! - Young, Bojan or Mirallas when a forward, Danny Rose as a mid. Don't do it.
    6. 3-5-2 or 3-4-3 - in points per 90 terms there's no point playing 4 at the back. The best front 7 is key.
    7. Injury prone beats unknown - new to the league, new to the country even? Had one season and it was a poor one?? You are better off with a proven FPL player Aguero over Costa, Fletcher over Bojan.
    8. 3-way rotating defenders - outside your 2 nailed on defenders, make every effort to squad fill with a nice rotation
    9. Bigger Hitter Heaven! - you will do most of you business with you starting side. Make sure more than half of them are worth good money and easy to downgrade. 6 premium (7.5+) players minimum.
    10. Stay current - once team is set with above 9 rules, keep it up to date and get Aguero well before his 3rd brace!
