Arsene Wenger expects Laurent Koscielny to be available for Arsenal’s home game against Palace. Roberto Martinez has doubts over a quartet of players for Everton’s trip to Leicester. Loic Remy will be assessed prior to QPR’s opener with Hull, Sam Allardyce rules out Matt Jarvis for London derby with Spurs, while West Brom boss Alan Irvine confirms Joleon Lescott and James Morrison will miss the visit of Sunderland:

Arsene Wenger has confirmed he will be without his World Cup winning trio for the visit of Crystal Palace. The Gunners boss has suggested that Laurent Koscielny should be fit and available to face the Eagles, though, after the defender was subbed off in last week’s Community Shield win over City with an Achilles problem. Theo Walcott, David Ospina, Serge Gnabry and Ryo Miyaichi are all sidelined through injury, though Abou Diaby has returned to full training.

Roberto Martinez has confirmed that Romelu Lukaku, Kevin Mirallas and new signing Christian Atsu will all be assessed before a decision is made on their availability for tomorrow’s visit to Leicester. The trio were all involved in the World Cup and have had a limited pre-season. Meanwhile, Seamus Coleman has returned to training after a hamstring injury, though Martinez concedes it’s still too early to tell whether the defender will be available for the weekend.

QPR boss Harry Redknapp remains hopeful that Loic Remy will be ready to feature against Hull, with the Frenchman expected to take part in training. Elsewhere Adel Taarabt seems likely to miss out, with Redknapp going on to say that the Moroccan isn’t yet fit having not participated in training at all during pre-season.

Matt Jarvis has been ruled out of the London Derby with Spurs through injury and joins Andy Carroll on the sidelines, confirms Allardyce. New signing Enner Valencia looks likely to miss out, with the Hammers boss “still waiting” on the Ecuadorian to get up to full fitness.

West Brom could hand a debut to summer signing Brown Ideye, with the Nigerian in contention to make the squad, for the home game against Sunderland, according to Alan Irvine. The Baggies boss though, has ruled out both James Morrison and Joleon Lescott, though, with both missing out through knee injuries.

Paul Lambert has confirmed Ron Vlaar will be available for Villa’s trip to Stoke. The Dutchman has played just 45 minutes of pre-season after featuring in the World Cup but his manager revealed he has “no worries” over the defender’s fitness levels for tomorrow’s match.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official twitter stream as breaking news unfolds.

Second question: Has Puncheon become less appealing now Pulis has gone? I know it's the defence that is likely to suffer, but I swear Punch only scored when Pulis arrived...

Could somebody please RMT, as it's my first time playing and I haven't had anyone look at it yet.

    GK: Begovic, Fabianski

DF: Fonte, Cameron, Jones, Vlaar, Bruce

MF: Mata, Ramsey, Fabregas, Eriksen, Sigurdsson

    FW: Rooney, Bojan, Giroud

^ The above team leaves me with 0.5m in the bank^

Currently I'm looking at playing 3-5-2, with Bojan on the bench unless he impresses. Defence and goalkeepers would be rotated based on fixtures.

Current concerns of my own include:

No Hazard, as he could be a good contender for top points scorer this season.
Fonte instead of Lovren and Debuchy (all are priced at 5.5m)
No Cahill (I couldn't afford him, but hopefully I could get him in the future.)
No Sterling or Barkley (mainly due to fixtures, plus i can downgrade one of my 9.0m midfielders to them -depending on form- and still have money to upgrade other aspects of my squad.)
If Bojan doesnt do well,it may be difficult to upgrade him to Lukaku, Bony, Remy, Dzeko etc
Fabregas may be used more reguarly as a CDM, limiting his points chances compared to Hazard.

As it is I'm planning to hold onto the 0.5m to upgrade Jones to Shaw once he returns from injury, but I'd really apprectiate some feedback please 🙂

Goalkeeping issues. Change Fabianski to McGregor or Foster. Weak defence. Cameron, Bruce have to be out unless u're really excited. Downgrade to Moore or Hutton. Use cash to upgrade Giroud. Giroud is not nailed on. Address these issues and u shud be fine. And btw, u have one of the best mids. So good job!! 🙂

Are Moore & Hutton garunteed starters then ? I don't really follow Arsenal that much, are people really expecting Sanogo to challenge Giroud for a starting spot up front, or are people thinking that Wenger may use Sanchez to lead the line ?If neither, would the money be better spent upgrading Fabregas to Hazard ? Thank you so much for your help :), who would you reccomend that I upgrade Giroud to with the extra cash ?

PS: The reason for my goalkeeper choice is because of a paragraph taken from an article on this website:

Like Boruc, Stoke’s number one Asmir Begovic is priced cheaper than his club’s first-choice centre-halves. Available for 5.0, the Bosnian rotates with Swansea over the 38 Gameweeks and a look at the schedule shows they have both been handed some great opening home matches. Indeed, by alternating for every home fixture, you’d face just one of last season’s top seven in the first 14 matches run that reads (AVL, BUR, WBA, LEI, SOT, NEW, NEW, SWA, LEI, WHM, ARS, BUR, CPL, QPR).

        Whole article:

GK pairing is excellent, fear not.

Hutton seems to have been playing most of the pre-season games, although Paul Lambert hates him so not sure if this will continue, plus right-back is one of the few areas villa are well-endowed with quality (Bacuna, Lowton)

I'm nervous about Bojan but it does free up a lot of money to splash elsewhere so will probably go with him myself

Does it not look likely that Lambert may use one of those RB's to partner Vlaar in CB ? As I already have Vlaar in the team personally I'd be alittle worried about having two defenders from the same team, especailly one that may struggle such as Aston Villa; it would be just my luck to put them both in on the week that they get destroyed by Burnley 🙂

I'ma little nervous about Bojan as well, especially as it means that it will mean that I have to downgrade a midfielder if i want to upgrade him to Remy/Lukaku etc, although "downgrading" to the likes of Sterling & Barkey doesn't look bad at all.

I've reached the "shuffling the deckchairs around the Titanic" stage of squad selection for subs.

    Team is finalised:

    --------------Bego----------------
    Debuchy/Lovren/Baines
    Mata/Henderson/Ramsey/Hazard
    Rooney/Bojan/Costa (c)

Not 100% convinced by Bojan but with the rest of my team I reckon I can take the risk for the first few weeks and ship him if needs be.

I think LFC will be a bit tighter this year around, as they have lost Suarez they will have to be.

To be honest I wouldn't object to swapping him and Debuchy, and probably will, but as a starting XI for the season they're both solid selections.
