When do hits get deducted in a GW, after the first set of games i.e Sat or at the very end of the GW itself when all games have been played?

If you were on a WC would you get Chambers? or just make 0.1 of him and sell?
    cant see a CS over
swa MUN wba SOT tbh and then Debuchy will threaten

I've been saying all along that people are blinded by him being a cheap defender from a big team. The truth is the teams he's about to be playing are in good attacking form and Arsenal haven't been convincing defensively this season. The CS against Burnley was only their 3rd in their last 11 PL home games, for example.

This is what i thought last week.. so i dint get him. 18 points down the drain 🙂 .. cant see him ever repeating that though. or gettin more than 2 points a game over the next 4. Debuchy back in training after the break too

Yep Burnley at home meant he was obviously a good pick for last week, but no one would've expected 18 points...

Something like other defenders in his price range play for smaller teams, and so their opposition play attacking against them.

When a non top 6 team plays arsenal, they would be happy with a draw. IMO this makes a big difference and means arsenal can get clean sheets. Last season they had a fantastic defensive record, and not particularly due to having a good defence but because of teams playing tight vs them.

At sub 5.0 I can't see him being anything other than a bargain by the end of the season.

In fact that isn't what I said yesterday at all , but something with the same conclusion

Perhaps. Wenger seems to be in love with the guy though. I was surprised he started so quickly when he made the move.

This is definitely a factor though.

In the long run if he continues to start then I admit he's a good choice. I'm just saying in the short term I can't see many clean sheets for him over the next couple of months.

    The transfers I'm considering are:

I realise many of you will say either transfer is a stupid idea! Currently favouring A though

Yeah, I just think Aguero and Sanchez have the captaincy covered, so the main reason for wanting Costa is diminished. Pelle is better value and allows for more big mids.

        Tough to balance of course.

3rd best United spot for me, I'd even fancy Januzaj's attacking threat more.
W/ AdM & Rooney back in the mix, I just can't see how he can provide value to my squad.
If you're AdMless, maybe there'a a case for it

Looking at the fixtures, I think I will be captaining either Aguero or Sanchez for quite a while.

There isn't a game where I'd confidently choose Costa before Jan. Does this make him dispensable?

Chelsea, Burnley, City, good defensive fix, OK attacking

        QPR the other way round

They've currently got the best defence in the league and a couple of clean sheets in those fixtures wouldn't surprise me at all. It's also a value thing with Clyne, I know I'm going to want him later in the season but paying 5.6 is a bit steep IMO.

Also, check out Burnley's fixtures when Southampton's are bad. Duff to the rescue 😎

They haven't played the best teams yet which could be a reason for having the best defensive record so far.

MCI ars MUN bur EVE cry CHE ARS mun - that is the worst possible run on paper at least. And Clyne will surely drop by 0.2 or 0.3 in value and so will Bertrand. They can be easily brought back in in the Jan WC depending on form.

Would you trust the Burnley defence though? Benching Clyne and playing Duff every week would be a waste of money imo

Clyne to a Chelsea defender could be good, got a nice run of games and will be comfortable in UCL after beating Maribor so not much rotation in the league.

You'll have enough time to get both of them out. That run stretches for 9-10 gws

I may be forced to sell in order to fund Welbeck > Aguero move finally. After the upcoming GW though

Sold one already last week to fund the Sanchez trade. Will probably sell Betrand for Azpi next week.

I don't see a point in selling them at all. I'll start Baines along with Chambers and either one of my cheap D. No sense in wasting a couple moves for a temporary D change. I bought in low on Berty and don't want to pay higher when I pick him back up. This is why I have decent D ready to play from my bench.
