Well since I've brought Baines in he's scored 14 points and Costa has scored 2 so...

But I get what you mean 😛

Probably just depends on form and fixtures, like it almost always does

I have Downing. I don't see Chadli as a suitable replacement. He is a bit like Nolan.

Positionally sound, even excellent, but technically crap.

Debating. Want to get Downing in as fixtures are good but as you say Siggy's fixtures get good soon. Will probably keep and switch Tadic to Downing when saints fixtures change.

      Thinking about this myself.
I've got 0.1 ITB to do Siggy to Chadli but might hold now as I'll probably just be trying to find a way to get him back in 2 weeks.

If you've got no pressing matters then swap him out and back in. I'm gonna need my transfers for Alexis by the looks of things.

2FTs and enough ITB to do this transfer now, before any price changes.

Any one of the big 3 at Everton will get the job done for you. People here have such a woodie for Baines though because he's on PK's.....how many times is that gonna really pay off though? Twice maybe 3 times? I bought him for everything else he does and don't count on the PK's. Hell he missed the only one he got this year! I personally wouldn't hesitate in a second to switch to Coleman or Jagielka if I needed the extra cash to upgrade elsewhere.

Coleman and Baines are different class. They're so attacking and create so much. Jags is just your trusty centre back. I doubt Everton will keep enough clean sheets to justify him over another cheaper Def.

    6. Billy Gilmore
      • 13 Years
      11 years, 5 months ago

Jagielka isn't going to get 2 goals in 5 again. Baines on the other hand has repeatable attacking returns.

Depends how much spare £ you have. This is the first year my team has allowed me to have baines and it's paid off. If funds were tight I would probably go Jag. Big other factor for me is my mini league enemies. That's where the real £'s lie for me. Paid for some flights last year.

          Run through you lads:

All 3 starting defenders will finish in the top 10 for defenders (assuming Azpi doesn't get more reds).

Spurs will get better under MoPo and loris is class, assuming Madrid don't steal him.

Kun and Costa cancel out, Fab and Sanchez cancel out, Tadic oscar and wally are great picks and Pelle will be top 10 too.

          You're set.

My proposed transfers this week for a -4 hit
Hazard & Moore out, ADM & Chambers in

    Will give me:
    Krul (Elliott)
    Baines, Ivanovic, Clyne, Chambers (Hutton)
    Sanchez, ADM, Tadic (Siggy, Boyd)
    Aguero (c), Pelle, Berahino.

My concern is Berahino v Krul. I'm confident Newcastle will get a cs so in that case should I play Siggy but that doesn't look good for points either. I might be tempted to take another hit & get Downing or Sakho.

Thoughts appreciated & thanks in advance.

Kinda late but lol @ fellaini, first he kicks aguero from behind, and When aguero goes down in pain, fellaini goes berserk and accuses the poor guy for diving...

I think Fellaini will only really be used in the big games where United will need his physicality. In the easier games I would expect Herrera to play.

I'd hate to have a frontline of Sakho and Austin. Far too cheap and limiting. For that reason I'd go with the second option.

Both have good fixtures for a while though and while Pelle and welbeck may be an improvement a midfield of Sanchez, Di Maria, Haz, Fabs will surely compensate? Soton fixtures pretty bad for Pelle? I'm talking in 2 gameweeks time, sorry I should've said!

I'm not sure why there is a need to double up on Chelsea midfielders. I think Fabregas has a say in so many goals he is more than enough for Chelsea cover, at least compared to Hazard anyway who doesn't have high goal involvement.

I'll just do welbeck to sakho this week as I have two frees and I can evaluate it. Reckon that's fine on it's own?

I like that people are selling Ivanovic. Currently on -90.2 so could drop this week. He's still looking dangerous & he could get a double figure score very soon.

True mate. Him & Baines double up was supposed to be my differential but he hasn't kept up his side of the bargain. I just know though that he will score well the week I sell him. I'm keeping & will downgrade once Costa hits form & is injury free.

Yeah I have the same double up and owning Ivanovic has been extremely frustrating lately. The only positive is that I've had him since GW1

I had sold ivan this week, Chelsea is jus disappointing to not have gotten the CS from Man Utd, QPR

Baines on the other hand, getting so much pts

Now is it normal to start of the week wanting to knee-jerk in the latest bandwagon, only to perhaps let your head tell you to hold off. Then over the course of the week your resolve is strengthened and you become more stubborn as the week goes on resisting the latest bandwagons. Is this true for most?

Its why I didn't sell Sterling to Sanchez last week 😕 I think pride has a lot to do with it too having missed out on the price changes earlier in the week. As a result you hold more strongly (rightfully or wrongfully) to your early convictions.

        1. Saint & Reevesy
          • 13 Years

          It's true.

Trust me it works both ways 🙂

The main reasons I do it are:

          1. So I don't agonise over the decision all week, that's a real time stealer.
          2. You can take advantage of price rises
          3. It feels bold, you end up feeling good about it even if it's often turns out to be stupid!

The negatives are obvious, with injuries and suspensions........but I like the risk epically given it saves time.

People saw him as a good punt to take which allowed them to bring in Sanchez.
