Your team value suffers, because of your hatred of hits. If you want good team value, you will need to take at least four or five, right in the first three to four weeks. Unless you have a really brilliant, and even, first week.
RMT, imho, is worse than useless, btw. 🙂I had a good start so TV wasn't too much of a factor. Once the reds came, a hit or 2 would have helped.
Also, I am using MATCHES, now - so I get a better story on each PLAYER.

Ok so I am admittedly a nervous non-Sanchez-owner, (the scariest part probably being his rising 10.7m price tag) but are there many people out there with all 4 of:
Cesc/Hazard,
Aguero,
Diego Costa,
Baines,
and still able to comfortably afford Sanchez without destroying your team?
It seems to me that a lot of people are choosing Sanchez over at least one of these options, with many seeing Diego Costa as the expendable one.
Sanchez is the man in form, but don't be fooled by Costa's lack of big points so far, members should look at where all of his shots have been taken from this year, he's bound to be in the goals all year. All last year and all summer we were crying out for a Chelsea striker to play in front of that midfield, well Costa is a world class striker and he also has the league's best assister playing behind him too and is coming into a decent run of fixtures, people are forgetting about him too easily.
If Chelsea beat Liverpool badly (no offence to Liverpool fans but I'd be surprised if Chelsea don't win) and Costa gets 2 goals, is he essential again? Will people begin taking Sanchez out if ADM gets a hattrick?
I agree that Sanchez is a good option, a premium mid in great form with good enough fixtures, but he's not the only player in the game worth having and people taking ridiculous hits to get him in might regret buying into the hype when Arsenal blank vs Swansea and you've just sold the new hattrick-hero Hazard.
The perfect time to get Sanchez in was weeks ago, for any like myself who didn't take the chance on him and went down an alternative route, you don't have to bite the bullet yet and destroy your team to fit in Alexis, it would be an idea to have a contingency plan on how to get him in if he keeps up his form, but his next 2 games aren't THAT tempting and we can afford to see if Walcott or ADM are viable alternatives beforehand.
Just my two cents on the situation.I have all 4.

Yeah it's simple to have them all if you fill your team up with bench fodder, I only have 1 outfielder that's worth less than 5 mill though and I'd wager that my bench looks like a better safety net than someone with all of those 5 players and ADM..

Like you I'm risking it and going without for the next 2. I can get him but need to get rid of one of ADM, Cesc and Haz for a hit and none of those options seem appealing. Going without for the next 2 because it allows me to get Costa in for WBA which I think is more of a priority. Sanchez will score well but don't think it'll be double figured for the next few and that gives me the time to have a look at Walcott.

I've got Cesc, Hazard, Aguero, Baines and Sanchez. As you say, struggling to afford Costa, which is a risk, but I could get him in if I downgrade Hazard or Cesc. Going without any big hitter is a risk, but can't have them all!

I could, but chose not to. In my opinion, Agüero AND Costa, even with my TV, would weaken a) the team, and b) my ability to change things quickly.

Luckily I managed to bring him in this week without taking a hit. It's your call, but he's looking like Mr. Fantasy atm. I agree that you don't need to destroy your team to get him, but he looks very close to what essential is.Personally I think Costa and Aguero is unnecessary. Sanchez + budget forward will likely outscore budget mid + Costa IMO. The budget forwards are doing the business at the minute and whilst it may not last all season it shouldn't be overlooked right now.
As good as Chelsea are, and as bad as Liveprool are, few teams turn up to Anfield and take them apart. If there is a week where Costa isn't essential it's this GW.
Personally I've got Baines, Fab, Sanchez, ADM, Aguero, Pelle and Welbeck as my front 6 this coming GW. Keeping Welbeck for a differential as his ownership is dropping. Hoping for a haul this week before i swap him.Given the position he is playing in, the form he is in, and the fixtures he has I think he is FPL gold at the moment. His fixtures (swa,MUN,wba,SOT) don't look too flashy on paper but despite that I would expect Arsenal to score at least two in each one of them and Alexis to be heavily involved. 😉
Some good points, but I think it comes down to the fact that I prefer the budget forwards to the budget mids. I will drop Costa for the short-term at least and get Sakho. This will allow:

A couple of years ago I started with about 6 red arrows, then 8 or 9 green arrows, and went from around 400k to finish the season 296! Had 9 greens out of 10 this season.
Last year there was someone on here who had something like 11 red arrows in a row, followed by 13 greens or something until the end of the season.

Who is just genuinely disappointed with United.
I'm disappointed with the results but happy with the performances. I know there is nothing good about playing 70mins of attacking football and then letting 2 in the bag up the other end, but at least we are looking better. We just need to score more than we concede (like Liverpool last season) if we want top 4 this season because the defence issues and injuries aren't going to be getting any better.

thing is i did these trades v early to catch the rises so had no idea if sakho was gonna be back.
also, that would give me a huge benching dilemma this week, austin bench against city looks good and then he has a few nice fixtures when the likes of tadic/chadli/downing dont.Having said I might be looking at Austin myself in the next few weeks!
