If you also had Sterling-Fabregas-Oscar, who would you rather have:

    A) Sturridge
    B) Costa

Nursing wounds from not captaining aguero

Really felt that city would drop points without silva and kompany - in fact both goals were moments of individual briliance from kun - absolutely clinical

Switched it from Kun to Di Maria at 11:28 given the Jedinak suspension and Palace conceding 7-8 goals from set pieces, figured united would give us a 3-0 or 4-0 but they looked awful, not captaining a united player again this season

Lucky to be only 7 points worse-off with ADM captain, Kun is absolutely lethal

I'm extremely bitter about it. Can't believe LvG took AdM off, never mind so early. I mean, Kun's supposed to be the one you worry about that happening to. The handball going unnoticed. QPR falling all over themselves for the second. Ugh.

dont let someone who doesnt even have their team link up here get on your nerves my friend... its a luck game with captains especially the 7-8 pts from bonus , odd offside etc

I was FUMING when Di Maria was subbed - I thought Aguero would have mins reduced with his 90 in midweek and it went vice-versa !!!! the game really opened up after the goal too, perfect for di maria's space- and mata coming on always helps him
Honestly I'm really bitter as well - just taking consolation from the fact that its just 7 points ...

You are seriously deluded. Fact is Maria is another overhyped, overpriced, overrated United signing. There's a reason why he's never scored more than 10 league goals in his entire career. He's mediocre. He's inconsistent. He was only made to look good by the players that were around him at Real. They couldn't wait to get rid of him the minute United came calling.

          • 14 Years
          11 years, 4 months ago

That's my point. Maria is a one season wonder. Before last season, he was incredibly inconsistent, hence why Real couldn't wait to get rid of him. And let's also not forget how abysmal he was in the World Cup.

          1. IL Fantasista
            • 13 Years
            11 years, 4 months ago

Well, better make it 2 season wonder then. He was Benfica's best player in the 09 championship run. Seriously now, I understand your reasoning and agrre that he can be inconsistent. But that's a characteristic of wingers and explosive players in general, they need to make the difference. I truly think AdM is world class, any given team would like to have in their squad, I suspect.

It's this stupid 4141. It's so static. Fellaini and RvP just standing around most of the match. We just need to go 433 to encourage more linkup.

            AdM striker Januzaj/Mata

            Rooney

            Blind/Herrera Carrick

I'm actually considering keeping 2 non-playing GK's for one more GW so that I have 2 FTs later for readjustments. Saints bad fixtures approaching, mids reassessment with more options available, blus def returns, so many variables in the equation... Am I mad?

Not really, in my best season i didnt have a GK for 4 weeks, still finished 227 overall. If you ave bigger fish to fry then fry them.

Making a mistake on GK is probably the one that will cost you the least in this game.

might want to consider cutting down on the value of your bench players somewhat. there's alot of money going to waste there, where you've benched downing, diame, and chambers... I benched Oscar this week but am working on downgrading one attacker to balance it abit too 🙂

      cheers

it has been a nice wee run

i'm going with having fun this season (hence the cray-cray 5-2-3 formation in week 10 that got me 6 clean sheets including GK)

my bench players can rotate in and should gain team value... trying to avoid any scrubs except at goalkeeper to keep the team value train moving along

a bit of a mad scientist approach but have been perpetually annoyed that my fantasy sports skills seem to be limited to being very good at draft games and trapped in some cycle of average-ness in FPL

It is when Chambers, naylor, and wisdom are performing so well. Coleman is still good value but less so due to how cheaper defs are better value.

Been thinking this over thoughts would be appreciated

    Pelle > Costa
    Berahino > Kane
    Dier > Amat

    -8
have exact cash to make it now if kane and amat start strongly considering but not sure if i should wait for costa to pick up his fifth yellow and then get him in

    anyone else thinking something similar?

Not sure about Moore mate, he's put up some pretty bad performances. Wisyl has threatened his spot i'm pretty sure.

I don't remember a season when we've been so spoilt for cheap forward options - currently on Berahino, but will probably swap to Sakho or Austin after the break. Kane looks a possibility if he nails a spot.

      It's a huge merry-go-round dependent on last weeks's performance.
At least some are on an in-form side & have quality support around them

Ulloa though, I cringe when I hear his name now.

Yes Ulloa shone brightly but not for long. Naismith might come good again with Everton's fixtures but I don't see Ulloa getting much more this season.

Indeed he did, I'm iffy on Naismith right now though. Seems to be more of a team player in a way, not really specialized in one area & has a great workrate.

Apart from those first few GW's, Naismith has just shown no promise whatsoever.
Many speculated he was under threat from Barkley, but it looks like the threat was to his gameplay not minutes

Struggling for transfer ideas this week - any ideas?

Players I'm considering losing are Chadli, Pelle, Wisdom, Albrighton & Krul

2 freebies and 0.0m in the bank:

    Krul
    Baines, Chambers, Yun
    Sanchez, Hazard, Chadli, Siggy
    Aguero, Costa, Pelle

    Elliot, Wisdom, Hutton, Albrighton

Yeah, been looking at either that or Pelle -> Austin to help fund Chadli -> Walcott either this week (or the week after). Silva and Sterling other alternatives to Wally.

Need to find 0.3m to fund Chadli & Pelle -> Walcott & Austin though...

Siggy -> Downing works, but feels like I should keep him now if I've held this long....

        Whatcha reckon?
