How could i get Aguero in this team?

I am 0.2 short of Welbeck and ADM to Aguero and Downing.

    Guzan, Given
    Baines, Clyne, Chambers, Moore, Wisdom
Di Maria, Fabregas, Sanchez, Sigurdsson, Boyd
    Pelle, Costa, Welbeck

1.1m in the bank. 1 FT. I could take a hit if needed..

Why not just do Pelle and ADM > Aguero and Downing then? Pelle does have awful fixtures approaching after all.

Alternatively, take a -8. Aguero may well be worth it....

    Tadic to Chadli/ Downing
    Welbeck to Austin

Weeks like this make me feel like I'm back in the saddle.

A bit of a yoyo season for me hopefully kick on now in the run to Christmas, its when the serious FPL players make hay and a good charge.

Some consecutive correct captaincy picks will be key, Agüero or Costa next week for me.

    1. rickardinho
      • 11 Years
      11 years, 4 months ago

Captaincy decisions are crucial. This was my first week this season choosing the right guy - previously my best was 8 points (Aguero GW10) and 7 a couple of times.

Feels good having a big scorer in a low-scoring week. Possibly even better than having multiple high-scorers in a high-scoring week 😀

Yeah the bumper differential captain haul is key.

The game is so dependent on good captaincy its the decision I most think about now.

I stress less about marginal defensive calls and worry about getting the big un right my records been OK this year.

        Go on RCA.

Hoping to climb myself and get the winter game face on now a top 1k finish is the aim this season.

Unlike any other I still have the wildcard, think I'll mix up my team and go swashbuckling (arghhh) on the run to new year and attack the pot.

I'm a bit stuck and could use some advice.

2FT's and 0.2itb, what should I do with this GW12 team?

    Begovic(BUR)
    Baines(WHM) Clyne(avl) Chambers(MUN)
    Sterling(cpl) Oscar(vc)(WBA) Fabregas(WBA) Tadic(avl)
    Welbeck(MUN) Aguero(c)(SWA) Pelle(avl)
    (Subs:: Krul(QPR) // Downing(eve) Wisdom(che) Naylor(mci))

    - Is Welbeck the obvious one to trade this GW? Wait until tomorrow, or are there any players who will rise tonight I should consider?
    - I'm thinking of saving one of the FT's to have 2FT's at GW13 when Saints' fixtures turn. Or is there something else I should do with 2FT's now instead?

      • 12 Years
      11 years, 4 months ago

Whatever you do, I'd make sure you have 2 FTs for the following GW.... Begovic and Southampton's fixtures turn, Cesc and Pelle on 4 yellows.

      1. rickardinho
        • 11 Years
        11 years, 4 months ago

Yeah, thats what I'm thinking too.

Tadic>Siggy is on my radar, but I'm not sure if I should go towards 352 or not. Would make sense... something like this:

        Tadic>Siggy
        Welbeck>sub-5.5 fwd
        Pelle>Costa

      11 years, 4 months ago

You can never have too much Baines. I'm hatching a plan to try to get Clyne -> Coleman... as I think Baines & Coleman are both basically reverse OOPs - wingers that get points for cleansheets 🙂

As Mark said in the last scoutcast - if there was a 7.0 Mid who had got a goal, 6 assists & 12 baps in his last 8 starts, we'd be all over him... let alone a defender... when you add 3 cleansheets in that same space of time... plus free kicks, corners & pens... Baines is an absolute no-brainer, as in you'd be mad not to have him.

And I actually think Coleman is a little bit more of an attacking threat from play, but obviously doesn't have the set pieces.

Yes, it's all these points that makes me kick myself for not getting him in sooner. i should listen to Mark more often and maybe Granville too... no, that's taking it too far. I'll start with Mark.

Ok Dummet. Talk to me. Is he nailed on? Or Raylor is a threat. Also who was the other player that is injured that Dummet got his spot at first place. I don't want to get Saylor cause I have been burnt in the past he is sooo injury prone

Dummett should keep starting, with Santon a while away from being fit. His other competition is Haidara but Dummett's performances are keeping him out and Pardew is talking him up alot. Definitely prefer him to Taylor.

Coutinho and Can were our only good players today and were brought off after 70 mins. Joe Allen came on, who's got something like 1 goal and 0 assists in 55 games because he's the 'Welsh Xavi'. Lovren was a shocking signing and Rodgers is afraid to drop him until he comes good, Kolo Toure should have started after midweek, as should have Manquillo and Lallana. It's clear that Rodgers shows favouritism and is not selecting players on merit, the way he's trying to use players like Gerrard and Balotelli, and overall we're a shambles compared to last season. Sturridge's return will help, but we can't rely on him for everything and without him we simply aren't good enough.

Liverpool aren't a sacking club so think he'll be given another season at least.

I'm not calling for him to be sacked, but some of his recent decisions have been very unwise. I know everything is more obvious in hindsight but it looks like Sturridge and Suarez were the ones making us all think he was great last season.

Give him time. A lot of the issues start with mobility up top. Sturridge getting injured by Hodgson has put a massive spanner in the works and kept Rodgers from being able to ease players in

Like him. It's the players fault at the moment, can't really blame him for lack of creativity on the pitch!

However I don't think he even knows his best 11 yet which is demonstrated by the constant changes in team selection every single week, despite other competitions.

Unsure on our formation but persisting with 4231 is clearly not working because we don't have any def minded midfield enforcers to break up play and give protection to the defence, so we just get overrun.

Balotelli's not a lone striker. We'll be a different side with Sturridge back (a la 3nil spurs).

In terms of his transfers, they obviously need time, but can't help the feeling that the calibre of some of these players is somewhat lacking for a CL chasing side. Looking forward to Sturridge's return and eventually Origi!

On the whole, Rodgers is a good young, we were unbelievable last season. Loved his midweek change up against Madrid - massive balls.

Steady up until last week when i dropped Siggy. At 105.2 now i think.. selling the high-risers like Siggy and eventually Fab sets that back though

That's pretty decent, got rid of Siggy last week having been a gameweek 1 owner so took a hit there, same boat with Fab.
