With a quick turnaround in fixtures, we take time out to assess the Premier League treatment rooms this evening and cast an eye over those players who picked up injuries over Saturday and Sunday’s fixtures.

Arsenal
Arsene Wenger’s injury troubles continue to mount as he lost both his left-backs to problems in the 1-0 win at West Brom. Nacho Monreal picked up an ankle knock before his replacement, Kieran Gibbs, suffered yet another issue. Wenger gave us an update on that pair, post-match, whilst also revealing that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has concerns over a knee injury ahead of the visit of Southampton on Wednesday…

“Gibbs struggled a little bit with an ankle problem and Monreal with a knee problem. Oxlade-Chamberlain also had a knee problem.”

Aston Villa
Paul Lambert’s defensive worries continued at the weekend. With Ron Vlaar, Philippe Senderos and Nathan Baker already sidelined through injury, the Villa boss is sweating on the fitness of Ciaran Clark after the centre-half was forced off during injury time of yesterday’s draw at Burnley.

Crystal Palace
Dwight Gayle was withdrawn just 21 minutes into the weekend draw at Swansea with a leg injury, though other sources also state he’s sustained a back problem. Gayle can be considered a doubt for Tuesday’s home clash with Villa, having started the last two league outings.

Hull City
Robbie Brady was replaced on 75 minutes of the Tigers’ loss at Old Trafford having sustained a knock, according to match reports.

Manchester City
City are sweating on the fitness of skipper Vincent Kompany after the defender suffered a hamstring injury in this afternoon’s win at Southampton. Post-match, Manuel Pellegrini – who also has Eliaquim Mangala suspended for the midweek trip to Sunderland – went on to say:

“We cannot know the situation at the moment. He has a problem with his hamstring. We will see with the doctor how important it is but at this moment, I cannot tell you exactly what he has. We will see.”

Man United
Angel Di Maria is almost certain to miss tomorrow’s home encounter with Stoke after being forced off just 13 minutes into the win over Hull with his own hamstring injury. Wayne Rooney is also nursing a calf complaint ahead of the Potters clash, though Louis van Gaal is a little more optimistic on his captain’s chances of being available:

“Angel shall be out for Stoke, I think. Wayne, I don’t know. He has already told me he wants to play against Stoke, but Rooney always says that. We will know in 48 hours..”

Newcastle United
The Magpies are sweating on the fitness of right-back Daryl Janmaat, who was forced off with a hamstring injury in the 1-0 loss at West Ham. Alan Pardew has also confirmed Rob Elliott will take his place between the sticks “for the next four or five games” due to Tim Krul’s ankle injury.

QPR
The R’s budget left-back Yun Suk-Young was replaced on 51 minutes of the 3-2 win over Leicester after sustaining a knee injury. Bobby Zamora missed out altogether with a slight back injury.

Southampton
Jack Cork was unavailable for today’s home loss to City due to illness, whilst Morgan Schneiderlin was forced off after sustaining a leg injury. After the match, Ronald Koeman rolled out an update on the midfield pair ahead of the midweek trip to Arsenal:

“He [Morgan] had an injury in his upper right leg, we have to wait, maybe we will know tomorrow [Monday] about if he will be okay for Wednesday. Jack I hope will be back, we need the players.”

Stoke City
Mark Hughes also has worries in central midfield ahead of the trip to Old Trafford. Steve Sidwell was withdrawn during the first half of yesterday’s loss at Liverpool with a knee problem, whilst replacement Glenn Whelan was subbed off at the break with a calf complaint. After the match, the Potters boss was pessimistic on both players’ chances of making it in time for the trip to United:

“We’ve got a game on Tuesday and it’s highly unlikely either will be available. Whether it was because he didn’t have an opportunity to warm up prior to coming on I don’t know, but he (Whelan) has pulled his calf unfortunately.”

Tottenham Hotspur
Vlad Chiriches limped out of this afternoon’s home win over Everton and was replaced by Erik Dier midway through the second period. Kyle Naughton is back from suspension for Wednesday’s trip to Stamford Bridge so the Spurs right-back situation is a little cloudy to say the least.

West Brom
The Baggies left-back Sebastien Pocognoli was forced off with a leg problem towards the end of yesterday’s home loss to Arsenal. Alan Irvine rolled out an update after the match:

“Seb has a dead leg, we think. He and Chris Brunt slid in at the same time and it seems he came off worse. All we can do now is assess him and see how he is. Dead legs can be a problem because you never know how quickly they will settle down.”

against Stoke won't be easy..even if at Home...they tend to play very defensive against Big Teams...and come up with a counter attacking goal

      He should be
People saying Sunderland kept chelsea quite soo its not a good option but for me Costa and Aguero are way diffrent players movement wise and head wise cannot see him not getting the better of O Shea or Brown....Aguero is a definite capt choice for MGW

And i dont think u can compare what Aguero does at his position to any player in BPL

Can someone be so kind and explain to me what counts as a chance created. The reason i ask it’s because i watched the full game between Sunderland and Chelsea and i didn’t see too much "creation" yet Fabregas has 6 chances created, Hazard and Oscar have 5 each,

perhaps it simply means a 'key pass'. A key pass is any pass leading to the recipient of the ball having an attempt at goal.

First it was obviosly Caulker, then Clyne, now again Caulker.... Help!

    Which one should I keep?

    a) Clyne
+ bought him for 5m so good to keep for season
+ I don't see much value drop for him
    - fixtures are horrible all the way until february
    - ditch and get Alderweireld if needed in january (not quite same tough)
    - bit expencive for bench fodder

    b) Caulker
    + cheaper
+ good home fixtures until january wc
    + due for a 12-15 pointer
    - good fixtures doesn't matter if you concede 2 against Leicester (H)
    - will drop in value soon - again 😈
    - always good for 1 pointer

Baines & Azpli plays every week, Chambers most weeks, but Debuchy is nearing comeback.

If u want Yaya I would change your keeper to fund it. 3 SOU in defence is too much with the fix they have.

        It's for my UFPL team.

He has actually scored for me in the past.

        GW11: 6
        GW6: 3 (Sachez scored 1)
        GW3: 11

He also costs 5.5 millions. You don't get many midfielders less dear than that.

Get Lamela out of you team, he doesn't start games.
And I agree about MAtic, not gonna score enough to deserve a place in your team
Jedinak is a penalty taker and cheaper

About the the whole Sunderland are City's boogey team, it has to end at some point right? 4 matches in a row I doubt they can extend that. Sunderland are not exactly a big team to maintain such a streak. And when it ends you'd believe it will end with a ban. Are Aguero captainers hesitant?

Saints are better than Sunderland yet Aguero could have had a cricket score, Bayern ain't bad either. Not hesitant at all

Previous games are irrelevant. If you look at statistics long enough you'll start to see patterns that aren't actually there.

Disagree to some extent, Sunderland doesnt play a high line which makes it more difficult for Agueros type of play.

        Wait and see 1 - 0 Sunderland

I know they did but one game doest make them good defenders or good defensive side overall....They let Southampton score 8 times
Soo the poiint is if City scores early than the will be going only one way as recently Sunderland players give up after conceding 1-2 goals

I know. The South game was a freak and away game though. At home Sun can sometimes frustrate you, but you would imagine that Citeh should be able to scrape a win. Won't surprise me if it's a close encounter though.

Chelsea had 24 shots vs Sunderland. Only 6 inside box.

I still believe City are better at breaking down defenses than Chelsea when a bus is being parked. The attacking play is new to Chelsea. City have been doing it for years.

And Chelsea's gameplay is way diffrent than city's
Chelsea always have not to concede a goal mindset on the other side City plays out n out attacking game

But Kun this year is in his best ever form in a City shirt (or actually best ever form). Everything goes through him. City are doing worse than previous years but so are Sunderland. Would you rather captain Baines? Even if there are no attacking returns, a CS and BAPs are very likely and Hull aren't scroring atm

Yaya has ACON and no pens this season. I wouldn't want him until at least afterwards and if Agüero gets an injury.

Sterling and Mata are no go's for me. Sterling and Liverpool are out of form, and Mata is out of favor. I don't see either doing particularly well.

I would go for Sánchez or Fábregas. Leaning more towards Sánchez as you have already got Hazard.

0.1 in the bank 2 FT

going to transfer out ADM and Costa

    a) Hazard Bony
    b) Hazard Rooney
    c) Aguero Sigurdsson

should i save about 2 mil to upgrade one of my defenders to a chelsea defender or baines in next game week

    my roster is

    lloris begovic
ashley williams creswell bertrand duff wisdom
    tadic downing ADM sanchez jedinak
    pelle costa sakho

I will ship out sakho next game week if he doesn't play this week as he looks very unlikely.

I'm leaning towards C) As I like aguero and siggy upcoming fixtures and it saves me a lot of money to upgrade one of my defenders.

Also I think I'm going to do Sakho>kane after the mid gameweek fixture against chelsea

          Hazard, Sanchez, Downing, Siggy
          Aguero, Bony, Austin

          McCarthy, Boyd,Duff, Moore 3.2 itb

I used my FT on ADM > Siggy and plan on using spare cash on upgrading bench for busy fix .

My trade is Ox-Chamberlain & Costa to Yaya & Austin for a -4 hit.
