Perhaps a way to think about this is to consider whether you want to double up on Spurs attackers against sunderland who have been reasonably tight defensively of late. So perhaps bench Chadli.
I can't see myself owning Aguero, Silva, Hazard or Sanchez and benching them........

I agree. Although he has traditionally fallen away towards the end of the season, he's going nowhere - even after I have WC'd. He's like a good interest earning stock where others might be big gainers in value.

Best: GW8 brought in Tadic and Baines and captained Aguero for his 4 goals and Tadic got his 23 points
Worst: This week, wildcarded, brought in Debuchy and Cahill, and had 3 eggs in Uniteds basket including DDG that late goal was the cherry on topWorst: GW8 didn't have any of the players you had.

Maybe I'm being too stubborn with Rooney but the next two fixtures are so juicy.

I got Kun in for Costa but still think it is too early for him to shine... but I have plans to get Fabs into my team so Costa's time was up.

WC strategy question
If somehow, you're able to keep your place at the top of of your MLs without using the original wildcard until the last week of the season, would you use it on GW38 just to block off your main rival?
Wonder if anyone has ever been in that situation.

i think using a WC on GW38 is pretty much wasteful - A WC is so valuable that it should/could be properly used for at least 3 GWs. I still have my 2 WCs - really hoping there'll be a DGW to justify my stubbornness to hold onto the original WC.
I used to adapt simlilar strategy a few years back, but not with a WC - I copied a few players from my nearest rival to confirm my league triumph. I ended up with a red arrow and just outside of 3k - felt very annoyed since i could've ended better if it played it my own game.
So my advice is just play your own game - don;t let other team's selection really sway you.Thanks. Just having a side discussion with a friend on whether either of us would have the balls to do that. Pretty douchey move but how smug would you feel if you could go a whole season without using your 1st wildcard 😆
But yup, hoping to use it for a DGW. Keeping fingers crossed. In any case, fixtures are quite trikcy for the big teams from 31-38, WCs might come in useful then anyway.That would be some achievement. Too arrogant of a move for my liking though 😆
Yeah hopefully the cautious game plan will be paid off. TM245 even suggested to me to play it with a bit flair by using back-to-back WCs. That sounds interesting but I doubt I'm willing to take the risk that comes with it.

Definitely not. I think 4 points is a reasonable price to pay to get to the end of the transfer window...though it's quite an unpopular opinion.
