Every time I watch MOTD and they show goals of the season from the days of yore they are, more often than not, utter guff :/

You have to remember that back then they didn't show every game like they do now.
Usually MOTD only showed about 3 games which were pre-arranged, so if you happened to have picked three games which all ended up 0-0 then that was it, that was all you could show.
The goals weren't the best of the season but just the best of the ones lucky enough to have been where the TV cameras were.##
Apart from Fashanu's against Liverpool for Norwich which was one of the best goals ever.Fair enough, I didn't realise that. But it does seem that they must've rated the importance of the goal higher than the actual aesthetics, judging by the amount of cup final goals

I'd get Aguero in both, unless he has a 'mare tomorrow/gets injured. If I WC now I'd get rid of Silva, if it was the week after I might keep him since home vs Hull. Fairly similar teams overall though, fixtures may make me alter 2-3 that's all
Also if I WC, I might stand a better chance of profiting off price rises/get Aguero before he goes up 0.2 etc

A) Mids are far and away the best points producers so far this season
B) Only one striker (Costa) has outscored the highest scoring defender (Ivanovic), the rest have failed to do so.

Flown under the radar a bit but in his last 7 appearances in the league he's gotten 3 goals and 4 assists compared to Haz's 3 goals and 3 assists and Fab's 1 goal and 5 assists.
What do you think about his game time? Seems a bit iffy
This has been the issue with him but realistically I can't see him losing that spot unless his form dips substantially. Thumping Swansea 5-0 would suggest that they've got their strongest team going now. Would be surprised if he lost game time in the coming weeks.
When you take value into account defenders are the best points producers. But I don't expect you want to hear that.
This is true but it depends on what you do with the value.
One could, in theory, have a team chock full of the players that produce the best points per million and still not do astoundingly well.
Example would be
Mid costs 10.0 and scores 200 points.
Defender costs 5.0 and scores 110 points.
Going on ppm, the defender wins out but the mid contributes more to your overall score. You'll have extra money but if you don't spend the extra 5.0 million wisely you could lose out overall.
