I've been a happy Kane owner since game week 13.. But seeing him play on the right side of midfield today to accommodate soldato was disheartening. May well ship for bojan or Austin on WC.

Having watched MOTD, I thought Falcao was pretty promising. He should have scored twice and two other chances to score. The shots weren't exactly terrible, and brought good saves from Green. At least he is getting these opportunities to score. I think he will do well against Leicester City. Even Van Haal said he played well

So here's a team I've just landed on, biggest point about it is probably the exclusion of Hazard.

    Panti 4.0

Clyne Hutton Baird Wisdom 4.6 defender (Stoke lad or something like that)

    Fabs Oscar Sanchez Silva Boydinho

    Bojan Aguero Costa

Bojan + Boyd have a home/away rotation though realistically I'd mostly play Bojan. Nothing set in stone at all, just an option.

Pretty much this. Hazard is a great player of course but Oscar has been outperforming him the last fair while (by one assist) and Fabs is very very consistent which is useful.

Has anyone ever tried trebling up on 2 cheapish defences along with 1 solid player?

Like a keeper and 2 defenders from one side, the same from the side who rotate with them and someone like Terry who plays every week?

Always thought about it but never tried it. The chance of 1 clean sheet bringing home 3 every week could be hugh reward. Yes its high risk too, but if planned withright sides from Feb-May, I'm.convinced it could pay off.

So with the news on Siggy's lingering injury, playing a bit deeper, Swans without Bony and them playing mediocre. I feel nothing warrants me keeping Siggy long term at all, even the good fixtures.

17 goals from open play in 19 games.

Costa's got to be one of the most underrated players at the moment. Suarez only managed these kind of numbers in his 3rd season.

Is it because Costa doesn't have the same style?

Don't get me wrong. Suarez was exceptional. But Costa does his bit for the team as well which goes unnoticed.

Amazing hold up play, brilliant runs both of which creates so much space for the mids. If the Chelsea strikers in the previous 4 seasons couldn't excel with the same system and attacking mids of similar quality, this guy must be decent no?

The guy is decent. He's the top scorer in the league lol and I think he's a great player but Suarez is better, which I think is the only thing really up for discussion. Anyone who thinks Costa isnt a good player needs their heads checked.

Also remember that for the past four years everyone has been saying 'My God, Torres is bad. If Chelsea buy a decent striker, he will clean up' and theyve been proven right.

we all know Suarez is exceptional but he has been a bit disappointing this season. Costa mopped up in La Ligue last year, you would have expected Suarez to do the same. suspension or not, terms changed so he could train with team, and he has not been as explosive as he was for Liverpool.

Barca don't even want their players playing like that. Which makes you wonder why they bother to ruin players like Sanchez, Fabregas and Suarez. Wankers.

Besides, if you want to make an argument, go about it the mature way instead of making judgements about the poster. That just shows your age.

not true. look at sturridge....plus suarez missed start of season.

the reason liverpool are 7th in the league this year is cause they have no striker. Sturridge out injured. when he was fit at start of the season we were great. beat the Saints first game of season then smashed Spurs.

Hard to say he's underrated, when he's owned by 59% of teams. But certainly touches a nerve around these points. I don't know how I'd describe him. Expensive, but earning his keep maybe? Certainly not a bargain, but he'll stay in my team unless he gets hurt.

      Haters gonna hate.
      Lovers gonna love.
Never gonna convince either to change their stripes.

Depends on the difference in points between your WC team vs your GW23 normal team. GW24 WC gives additional info but may need more cash needed due to rises.

    Interesting.

Sunderland have played all of the top 10 at home except Southampton
    Also played Everton at home.

So from now onwards ... Only good home ties

    Wildcarded , any thoughts

Also rotation experts do those keepers work ?

    Krul , Foster

    Ivan , Zabaleta , Wisdom , Pva , Kosceilney

    Hazard , Sanchez , Sterling , Oscar , Boyd

    Aguero , Kane , Austin

Personally I'd put costa in any wildcard team. You could downgrade oscar to puncheon and koscielny to chambers to try squeeze him in without causing too much damage to team balance. Good team though! Go for it if you don't rate costa

i love the oscar pick. kosc, zab... i like this team. Stays out of the template... you'll be happy with it, i believ.e

at the beginning of gw23, i will have either Oscar or Costa in my team. Not both.

Thanks heaps for your input. I've developed Wild Card version 2.0. Defence still rather weak, but don't know how I could strengthen without dropping a heavy mid:

    Forster (Myhill)
    Sakho, Jones, Clyne (Wollscheld, Baird)
    Fabragas, Puncheon, Sanchez, Hazard (Lucas)
    Kane, Kun, Costa

Yes, Lucas is not ideal. However, he's more of a filler than anything else.

    Thoughts appreciated. Thanks everyone.
