I've experimented with this also and it allows me to get Kosc or one of the Soton defenders. A backup keeper isn't worth it if you're not rotating imo. Panti could easily hold his own with save points and bonus.
Kos or a saints defender would make that team more balanced. I agree that you don't need a backup keeper but you should have the second choice keeper from the same team imo.
I remember sweating about Krul's fitness earlier in the season as I had Hamer as my second keeper. Don't want that to happen if I can avoid it. Every point helpsLooks more balanced with the Giroud > Kane swap but that's assuming Toby will be fit. I could get Fonte if Baird comes in.
I know what you mean about injuries to keepers (Krul this season, Boruc last season) but Mannone is expensive for a backup keeper!

Wouldn't be surprised to see a 70% possession for Mou's side, can see City throwing up long balls to Kun all day and them relying on the pure pace of Navas and Clichy down the wings to get a decent foothold on the match.

I am awful tempted to go Ivanovic/Terry. But I don't think I'll end up doing it. I want a Southampton defender and there's enough value in Wisdom/Hutton/PVA/Bellarin etc to cobble together a decent 3rd defender rotation. And really, are we expecting Terry/Ivanovic to break 200 points? Has a defender EVER done that?
Not for now, would make it a hassle to get one of their attackers if the plans goes wrong.
Would play it safer with the Saints imo, better bang for your slot, and less room for error
