Granville and I raise out bats to the grandstand as the 150 comes up for the ScoutCast. Fittingly, we choose to spend the milestone episode moaning about Diego Costa, for very different reasons.

Chelsea’s “agro magnet” dominates discussion on the eve of an expected three-match ban that will end my love affair with the grizzled goal-getter. Meanwhile, Granville is left smarting from Costa’s 16-point Gameweek 22 haul as he does his best to make light of the 59-point chasm that now separates our teams.

Elsewhere, we glide through the ScoutCast regulars, whilst taking time out to lament Kevin Mirallas and his latest bout of Baines-bullying that robbed us both of belated returns.

          I really REALLY hope so, i was apocalyptic when he got charged. I dont see how it can be proved beyond reasonable doubt that he meant it. But the whole process is flawed, dont expect any justice from it.

            Of course he meant it. Didn't react at all when he stepped on him, because he was expecting to. Anyone who has ever played any sport knows that if you step on something unexpected you immediately take weight off that foot so you don't hurt your ankle/whoever you stepped on.

            I do see your point about being difficult to prove, but I'm glad they've taken the common sense route.

            It is not a court of law so I don't believe the issue is "beyond reasonable doubt".

            The referee has confirmed he would have sent him off if he'd seen the incident so unless the panel believe that the refer is mistaken he will get banned.

            I think that with all of Arsene's midfield options returning to the fold, Sanchez won't have to put the team on his back..will still be good but could easily produce less that translates to FPL..

            look at early season when he was doing nothing..yeah part of that was that adapting to the team and league but it was also with a mostly fit midfield (and actually no Wally even)

            so on top of that I think that Sanchez + player A + player B will give fewer points than Wally/Caz + player C + player D..Sanchez's points aren't worth more or more special simply because he got them. opportunity cost! 🙂

      I like moving away from the template, but maybe not in this way. Oscar is a good pick, Sturridge could be amazing, Chadli offers great value.

      But Muniesa, GK combo, Jon Walters? I dont believe in Defoe either, and AdM needs van Gaal to mix up the tactics board.

    People get so worked up about individual GWs. What does it matter if you have 3 Arsenal attackers and they fail to score in a game, yet score 3 regularly in all the other games? Total points is all that matters, not whether they come at a consistent rate every week.

    On selling Sanchez, irrespective of length of injury:

    I think that with all of Arsene's midfield options returning to the fold, Sanchez won't have to put the team on his back..will still be good but could easily produce less that translates to FPL..

    Look at early season when he was doing nothing..yeah part of that was adapting to the team and league but it was also alongside a mostly fit midfield (and actually no Wally even) that didn't need him to save them.

    On top of that I think (and any number of players can fit this) that Sanchez + player A + player B will give fewer points than Wally/Caz + player C + player D..Sanchez's points aren't worth more or are special simply because he got them.

    Opportunity cost!
