Granville and I raise out bats to the grandstand as the 150 comes up for the ScoutCast. Fittingly, we choose to spend the milestone episode moaning about Diego Costa, for very different reasons.

Chelsea’s “agro magnet” dominates discussion on the eve of an expected three-match ban that will end my love affair with the grizzled goal-getter. Meanwhile, Granville is left smarting from Costa’s 16-point Gameweek 22 haul as he does his best to make light of the 59-point chasm that now separates our teams.

Elsewhere, we glide through the ScoutCast regulars, whilst taking time out to lament Kevin Mirallas and his latest bout of Baines-bullying that robbed us both of belated returns.

Count the cost via this link, or pay your dues via the handy player below…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Fabianski, Pantilimon
    Baines, Bertrand, Terry, Wisdom, Hutton
    Sterling, Sanchez*, Hazard, Downing, Marney
    Costa*, Austin, Kane

    1 FT. 2.5 ITB.

    A. Wildcard now, if so, would it be counter productive to value?
    B. Costa --> Falcao or Giroud

    This WC team too risky?

    Ospina
van Aanholt - Clyne - Jones
    Walcott (c) - Hazard - Sanchez - Di Maria
    Defoe - Austin - Aguero

    Krul - Moses - Wollscheid - Wisdom

    1.0 in the bank

Can't see why not.. His position to lose I'd say. 2 clean sheets in the games he's come in for and hasn't put a foot wrong.. Would look awful to just drop him for Szczesny who's made some big mistakes and been a bit of a tit.. Plus Sczc shipped 2 in the FA Cup game against Brighton, not a performance to stake a claim for a recall really imo..

Just took a look at the other fixtures in GW27 when our squads are likely to be stretched to their limits due to Chelsea and Spurs players being absent. Sunderland away to Man Utd? Damn, could have done with an easier fixture for PvA there 😕

I'm trying to decide if that's a reasonable decision or if factoring a single gameweek into a longer term decision to that extent lacks perspective.

Indeed not sure if I'm getting ahead of myself. Think my other defenders may be seeing more game time anyway so Pva or not shouldn't matter too much.

Well this is it. My intention is to have Arsenal, Chelsea, Southampton defenders who will play almost every week with WBA and Sunderland as back up. Most weeks PvA would be stuck to the bench getting me 0 points so maybe I should swap him for someone with a better GW27 fixture when I know for sure they'll be needed.

Wish I hadn't checked the ticker now!

My problem is Terry vs Kun and Wisdom vs Kane.

With Sanchez/Cesc also in there im looking at Cameron*/Boyd/Hutton to dig me out of a hole.

Meh, I don't worry about players playing each other - so you won't have a 'perfect' gameweek where every defender keeps a clean sheet and every attacker scores - when does that ever happen?

Sanchez is the real problem here.

            1. Christina.
              • 16 Years
              11 years, 2 months ago

Yeah I agree, just pointing out that with the Sanchez news things have turned from bad to worse as we probably won't get any Cesc news.

I'm keeping Sanchez for now until there is more news.

Would you sell Cesc with a view of preparing for GW 27 blank or rather do Cameron to Woolshed?

Depends how you'd manage for GW27 I suppose but I'd keep Fabregas as he's predicted to play in the Team News section and get shot of Cameron as he looks very unlikely to get his place back.

Basically I'd lose the player with least chance of playing - Cameron.

When do we know if Costa gets his ban? Have activated my wildcard and currently have Costa, which would be swapped for Aguero if Costa gets the 3-4 match bans.
Also, should I get rid of Sanchez? Will be hard to swap in later without taking hits.

Currently in the top 100 but a hurricane has ripped through the team and I have to WC.

    Foster - Myhill
    Terry - Clyne - PVA - Wollschied - Hutton
    Hazard - Sanchez - Carzola - Sterling - Walters
    Giroud - Aguero - Kane

Is this a side that can get me to a 1k finish? Couple of punts but scope to tinker post WC I feel....

I prefer Moses to Walters now that Diouf is back, but could go either way. But I like the team, very similar to mine (OR 285).

You sure about 3 Arsenal attackers? Or do you plan to move Cazorla to someone like Oscar after this GW?

Thanks for my lone reply Jaril.

I think Bojan out may keep Walters there ot thereabouts and he is a bit cheaper but one to monitor...

I think the Sterling and Caz swaps are the ones open to some moves with Oscar and Eriksen a good call as well. Even Tadic or Cout - having 8m odd allows a free rein...
