Been taking hits all seasons so now I'm stuck in an unfamiliar situation with 2FTs
I have absolutely no idea what to do with 1FT, let alone two!

Obviously depending on Alexis updates, but given he is fit and no injuries in tomorrow's games
    Any professional suggestions/opinions DZ?

    Panti | Krul
    Fonte | Koscielny | Wisdom | Wollscheid | Yoshida
    ADM | Hazard | Oscar | Sanchez | Moses

May as well get rid of Yoshida now before Alderweireld's imminent return. Bellerin/Naughton/PvA are options.

Yea will see how it plays out. He was Koeman's starter over Toby before he got hurt. Can't do Bellerin with 3 Arsenal and 0.1 off from Naughton.

Or you could take a punt on a player for a week. That's always fun 😛

Agree with Kurt, Yoshida is the only real worry. Very nice looking team. I'm also not convinced by Oscar, he's not someone I'd pick. A switch to Sterling maybe? Tough fixtures but I'd still expect Pool to score in most of them.

Took a chance on him for these 3 games before the blank. I agree he looks like prime suspect to ship out especially since Cuadrado will get some minutes.

Had Sterling PreWC but will def consider to get him back now that Sturridge is playing again regardless of the fixtures.

        Thanks!

Or just spend 1FT on dealing with Yoshida and banking the other for 2FTs next GW

Agreed here, both liabilities on that team. Albeit if Toby isn't back for the Hammer game, you're safe with him for another GW IMO.

Yea I'll see. Koeman preferred Yoshida over Toby at the beginning of the season before he got hurt so will see if he will get replaced. Also, when Targett went out, Yoshida shifted to left back so possibly he will be ok until Bertrand returns.

If Wisdom doesnt start, take him out for Bellerin/Naughton or anyone else you like. Taking out Sanchez will be an option if he is available again.

Scratch that, actually you're more than safe with that backline even if Toby's back this week, IMO
Kosc, Fonte, Wisdom is a solid backline for the w/e, obviously not ideal. But it is, what it is.

Try your best to use one FT and focus on the task at hand, getting points! Focus on the front. With that said, unless AdM sees a turn in-form today, then he remains the worst option in your midfield four IMO. At least Oscar is more than capable of scoring goals and is cheaper to boot as well. AdM is just a weak option right now, unless you're set with your gut instinct that he'll reward you with a pair of goals in the next three, get him outtie 500.

Can make a case to ditch Oscar as well, up to you here. Both bad options for me, but AdM just has no form to speak of, hopefully this GW proves me wrong.

So one of them out and be done with it, IMO. Try to stick with 2 FT's every GW until the blank, deal with Yoshida next week for sure here. As long you can maintain the fort in the back and have a solid back three, you're ok. Fourth and fifth defenders are here especially for this case

Thanks for the extended response sir! I sincerely appreciate it.

Targett injury may be a good thing for Yoshida at least for next two GWs.

Definitely monitoring ADM's progress at the moment, may look a bit stubborn but I have faith that he will eventually hit some form back especially if LVG will finally just let him stay on the left wing where he is so dangerous whipping those crosses in. Will reevaluate after todays game.

Why do people say Ssnchez a no brainer as capt? Me no understand, normally a player coming back from hamstring is a little tentative, and not recover form straight away

It was only a pull. Not a tear.

Possibly because he has been 'eager' to play. Would've played today if it was up to him.

Either way Giroud looks like a safer viable option as well.

Great position to be in with José at the helm.

7 points ahead with 14 games to go. One of our two best players, Costa and Cesc, have unexpectedly got a 2-3 week break and are going to come back fresher. Much needed for CL as well.

Very surprised by the lack of Spurs love in the top 4 - they're ahead of Arsenal at the moment and are on good form too.

Is it because once Europa returns, we're likely to see the Spurs of old?

Wisdom to be dropped, Baird to be recalled and score a worldy from 40 yards. WBA also keep the cleanie with a Foster pen save.

He didn't look match sharp against Spu*s or Villa.

        And Welbeck was good

So many options in that mid. He might even drop Caz after that performance

Fixtures, and a United fan. 🙂 Was supposed to be a 1 week punt on my WC with Falcao(Aguero placeholder during Che vs City. Then Demi predicted Falcao wouldn't start, so I replaced him with RVP and have decided to keep him since Costa's out, fixtures are good enough to do so and he has the caliber to come up with a huge score. Just hoping he gets it while he's in my team. 🙂

Probably wouldn't be the best draft pick, I'd prefer to just constantly claim/drop form players in a draft rather than waiting for RVP to explode.

Might as well be Welbeck actually. Even though he played well he's just gotten back from an injury and he was playing cause of his high defensive work rate

      Ozil.

Playing well, but only recently back. Arsenal will give him a sub role v LEI. Caz came off reasonably early so he'll be fine to continue. Walcott will come in.

FWIW, I don't buy this whole talk around Spurs being inconsistent.

It used to be a thing in the early part of the season when Mauricio had no clue. Now he's got his best team built around Kane and Eriksen.

If you check the last 10 PL games, they have the best form in the league. 23 points. Followed by Chelsea with 20 points.

The guy seems to have figured out how to get results and I think that could be crucial if they were to finish in the top 4. If United slip a tad during their tough spell coming from GW27, the 4th place should be Spurs.

United have spent just too much money this year, so most people fancy them going through. Spurs have been so consistent due to Kane's form. If he gets an injury/goes out of form, they could be in big trouble.

Here's me at predicting Arsenal's XI vs Leicester.

    ----------------------------------Ospina
    --Chambers---Mertesacker----Paulista-----------Gibbs
    --------------------------------Coquelin
    --Walcott-------Ozil----------------------Rosicky---Cazorla
    ----------------------------------Giroud

*Bellerin, Koscielny, Monreal, Welbeck, Ox/Akpom, Szczesny and Sanchez will form the bench.

Attack sounds about right. Just switch Caz and Ozil and you've got it. Though won't be surprised if Caz is rested instead of Ramsey - played a lot of games recently.

      1. Saniul
        • 13 Years
        11 years, 1 month ago

Yes, that's an option. All-in-all, I can see Sanchez and Welbeck on the bench, and Walcott and Rosicky back to the XI. And also, one of Ozil/Caz/Ramsey rested.

And defence should get rotated. Gibbs & Chambers should get their chance, and a time for Koscielny to heal his hamstring.

    2. Billy Gilmore
      • 13 Years
      11 years, 1 month ago

I can't see anywhere near that much rotation, personally. Wenger would be mad to change 3 of the back 4 in one go.

Atleast don't see Bellerin and Monreal not getting a match off after that nightmare. Chambers & Gibbs aren't even established second-choice anyway, they should get a sniff of the place.

That is a nightmare scenario for Bellerin, Koscielny and Sanchez owners 😆
Arsenal need to win, they fell to 5th and have Pool nicking at their heels.
      They won't get dropped.
Paulista is not ready yet. Maybe Gibbs.

      I'm expecting Alexis to start.

      1. Saniul
        • 13 Years

I think they can't really risk a earlier-than-expected return for a player who will define their season against Leicester.

If nothing's going right, off the bench?

Same for Koscielny. Playing two in four days with a dodgy hamstring has hurt him before. Not again? And what better game to make his first Arsenal start than the 20th team at home?
