If Wisdom is dropped soon, you could be down to 2 defenders.

I remember seeing a few things saying he would be out next two games ie the game just gone and midweek. Then Mou had his press conference saying everyone was fit but to me it seemed obvious he was playing silly buggers, it was the way he answered it made me thing Fab was still injured

Mane has scored 4 in his last 4 starts, yet more people own Diame, Sidwell, Isgrove, Quinn, Delph and Paulinho.

I know he was injured but still odd how he's got such tiny ownership. Not complaining, mind.

Quite a lot of that is due to the fact he wasn't even an option at the start for GW1, no dead team has him.

And very few active players would have bought him last GW or this.

        • 15 Years

Hmm yeah good point. Couldn't recall when he entered the game. Elia has 6% ownership, compared to Mane's 0.6. Should be the other way round on paper

          • 14 Years

Yep, but Elia had a big haul when loads were wielding WC's and people got carried away.

Elia will be warming the bench most games from now.

Not that I remember, a lot was made of his opening game, they won that. People made noise about the Blackburn match but the defence were at fault for 2 of the goals so he was certainly allowed one (not sure that he was). Came back and has been the best keeper in the league since the Chelsea game.

this is the keeper's lot in life. a couple of dodgy moments and suddenly you're a crap keeper. it happens to most of them after a while.

it's a strange thing in football where a striker can mess up 7 easy chances, then score, and he's a hero....whereas a keeper can make 7 world class saves, then mess up an easy one, and he's a dodgy rubbish keeper

Ehrm I don't really know, I never thought about it. It might well have been.

What I meant by tactics was the approach to just sit back and let Tottenham attack and trying to play on the break with those players. Can't get away with that unless you do it well.

showed nothing much going forward (in line with the whole team by and large). did ok at best running around the middle. got booked because he was knackered at the end and had to make a bad challenge.

what's wrong with him this year?

        I don't know...

Seems to take a while to get back up to speed after injury, and then as soon as he finds some form (Gala), bang, another injury... so frustrating.

Just looked at their positioning map and the best way I can explain it is four guys trying to play CAM. Spurs look really well spaced in comparison.

And did anyone else notice how most of spurs attacks came down Bellerin's side? especially in the first half.. He was basically absent. Gonna wait until teamsheets before swapping wisdom for him

He was unimpressive but to be fair, there seemed to be no one on that whole flank. Check out the positioning map.

Yeah, you're right but I think that's more because Spurs were better down that flank rather than that Bellerin was particularly bad. He struggled but seemed to have been instructed to keep it tight together centrally, like all Arsenal players. This allowed Tottenham to play on the flanks and get crosses in rather easy.

they targetted him, although i thought he held up ok to be fair. had my doubts about him 1st few times i saw him, but i think he looks decent enough. arsenal targetted rose much the same way i though in 1st half

Commentator in the Arsenal game kept going on and on about Welbeck doing Rose for pace for the goal. Aside from that he didn't trouble him and even went left wing for while yet he was almost suggesting Rose should be subbed because hes been done psychologically. I though Rose played well and was a good outlet for them.....

arsenal had a lot of joy down rose's flank first half i thought. he held up ok though, and 2nd half arsenal were finished, and rose did well going forward
