UFPL is a bit mad this week
I had armband on Mane who got me 11 points (22 total) and switched it off him for Kane cause I figure he should at least match that, 1 goal each game would get more points...
I also have Silva, Sanchez, Ivan, Walters all on my bench!
On my best ever Overall Rank of 160 so could easily ruin it but my aim is top100 and I need to take some chances in this DGW. I took a 12point hit to get 3 DGWers in.
I would sacrifice 3 for Krul

I have decided to use my wildcard & my simple question to you guys is:
A) Coutinho or Sterling
B) Ozil or Sanchez
As it stands I have Sterling & Ozil... The stats for both Sterling & Coutinho very similar (as of late) & happy to own a key player from Liverpool, but Ozil or Sanchez is tough, but once again, based on simple (recent) stats Ozil is my man (currently have Ozil)-

Not sure I agree on the Coutinho being a rotation risk part, he's a BR favorite. Key the the formation and is the main creative outlet on the side, has started nearly every game since December when they started the 3421. Pretty nailed IMO

Again, why its a tough decision..... Coutinho has been fantastic in recent weeks, but from an FPL perspective (which is all I look at) Sterling slightly edges, but both solid options, Coutinho would free me up some funds

Simply put, it appears Sanchez a just have? As much as I get that argument his returns (as Mark alludes to in Scoutcast) is his returns are terrible & sick if owning, it's more the fear factor of high ownership.... As a differential Ozil is gathering up the points...
The two Liverpool players I feel us a toss of coin, with Coutinho being the differential, hmmm -
Sanchez is not a must-have. I climbed to 8k without him. Not having him is the new differential. Avoid Sanchez and create a great "team".
Consider, for example, these two player combos cost you the same price at the start of January -- Sanchez + Johnson /// Cazorla + Silva-
Avoiding Sanchez since his injury has been my differential too. It has helped me rise significantly

Watched Southampton today and it's not difficult to see why they're struggling lately. The stats say they won and had 23 attempts but almost all of these posed no threat whatsoever.
Elia is a dreadful, just complete muck and should've been dropped the minute that injuries were no longer a factor. Mane is a bit of a wildcard player, both of them drift around too much and soton's attacks kept breaking down through a lack of cohesiveness in the team, they certainly shouldn't be playing at the same time unless its late on and they're chasing the game. Not only that but the way Koeman's set them up recently with 2 wide men utilised its limited the attacking potential of Bertrand and Clyne which were one of the team's greatest weapons.
Pelle, again, looked woefully out of sorts and when Long came on his enthusiasm alone in fighting for everything was a big improvement. Bottom line is Pelle deserves to be dropped for a match or 2 and Long is the obvious replacement.
Even though he's been off form lately, Tadic really ought to be starting, with his natural ability he can produce something even when he's having an off day. Likewise Ward Prowse is a player that deserves more pitch time he's young, constantly improving and easily their best dead ball specialist. Mane will grab the credit but it was a simple enough rebound after a couple of second half subs changed the game.-
To sum it up, none of them can pass the ball properly or finish consistently.

Good post, Scratch. I agree with most. When they are playing anyone outside of the top four I think they should be playing JWP with Schneiderlin. Too pessimistic of them to play Wanyama against a team like Palace. Djuricic I actually thought played pretty well. Long and Tadic should come in, though. Pelle just needs a rest, quite simply.

Think JWP should play in the hole. He's not disciplined enough to play in CM. Mane left, Tadic(I guess) right. The subs didn't change much really. Saints were still pish.

I might've been watching a different game but I thought Djuricic showed some flashes. I kind of like him, and it's very harsh on him as it was just his second game in the League to give him stick. I think he may turn out to be pretty decent.

It showed how valuable JWP is from a meer set-piece standpoint. The corners taken from Schneiderlin were abysmal, nearly all of them went to waste.

I agree. Pelle's confidence is shot but he also clearly fatigued and you can see both physical and mental tiredness/frustration in his play. Tadic not been good when given any sort of chance recently but Elia is shocking (as was expected and as he's always been). I'd give Long and Tadic a run in the team.

Tadic was very bright when he came on. He also could have been suffering from fatigue, but he's had a proper break now. They suffer badly from a lack of creativity which he could help with. I don't really rate Long but anyone would be better than Pelle at this point.
