With 14 goals and three assists in the opening 15 Gameweeks, Sergio Aguero looked a near-essential component of our three-man frontlines until injury struck against Everton in early December. After missing five league fixtures, the City talisman’s return was eagerly anticipated by Fantasy managers but it’s fair to day that so far, Aguero’s recent displays haven’t quite been on a par with his early season endeavours.

Three goals and four assists in eight Gameweeks equate to a reasonable average of 4.875 points since recovering from a knee injury but this fares poorly against his returns from Gameweek 1-15, where he delivered seven points per appearance before he was sidelined through injury. With this in mind, we delve into the data to compare Aguero’s recent stats against his earlier displays and also analyse his efforts against other forwards from Gameweek 21 onwards.

      its just a game. No risk no gain!

      on gw34 i am sure everyone would have known how risky they should play their game depending on their aim.

      I would not be surprised to see some of the top 100 players doing these moves to catch the top. Its either win or nothing

    Planning to wc for gw34 and made little tinkering for my gw33 team.
    Looks like there is not much to gain there either vs non wild carders 🙁

    Everyone will have

    Che + Sot + Wba keeper/defender
    Hazard, Silva and most even Eriksen
    Kane, Aguero

    And having Sanchez + lots of value there, isn't helping - can't really do anything for midpark.

    Baines is one of few good differential I managed to find out.

      I see a lot of good differentials these days - Cout, Ozil, Punch, Lovren, Rose, Naughton.. it is just whether we are brave enough to move away from the template.

      Save. I'm sure you have JT, and you knew all along when you went with those 2 SOT players that you'd have this dilemma come this GW. After CHE your SOT players will have 4 favourable fixtures. As long your back up Defenders can cover your a** then I say hold your fire.

      Sterling out maybe? He's a big concern if he's gonna keep playing as a wing back. Silva would be a big upgrade but the only way you can afford that is downgrading Clyne or Giroud... Probably not worth it in the end. You could give Sterling another week and sell Wolly instead.

        Yeah. I hate the way he has been playing wing back recently. I somehow like the feeling of 2 FT per week and I don't think I would want to downgrade Giroud or Clyne atm as their fixtures are still quite nice. Any suggestions for Wolly replacement?
