Nikica Jelavic faces a spell on the sidelines after undergoing knee surgery. West Brom have worries over their front two for the trip to City. QPR have concerns in defence ahead of Everton’s visit. Eljero Elia is available for Southampton’s home clash with Burnley, whilst Jason Puncheon and Wilfried Zaha are both still doubtful as Palace pay visit to Stoke.

Hull’s hopes for survival have been rocked with confirmation that Nikica Jelavic faces a minimum of six weeks on the sidelines after successfully undergoing knee surgery. Steve Bruce has also revealed that Liam Rosenior, James Chester, Mo Diame and Robbie Brady returned to training yesterday but the weekend clash against Chelsea is likely to come too soon.

Garry Monk welcomes back Federico Fernandez for the trip to Villa, with the Argentine returning to the squad after missing out against Liverpool for family reasons.

Villa, meanwhile, remain without Ron Vlaar due to a calf problem, with Tim Sherwood confirming there is no change to the injury situation following last week’s victory.

Crystal Palace remain without Marouane Chamakh for the trip to Stoke, with the Moroccan struggling to overcome a hamstring injury. Alan Pardew is also sweating on the status of Jason Puncheon and Wilfried Zaha, after both were forced off with knocks in the win over QPR. The pair faces late fitness tests, with Pardew confirming that they would be back in time for Gameweek 31, if not on Saturday.

Chris Ramsey has revealed that Mauricio Isla (knee) will be assessed ahead of the weekend visit of Everton, while youngster Darnell Furlong remains a doubt with a calf injury. Meanwhile, Ramsey remains hopeful that Rio Ferdinand will be fit to return to the squad against the Toffees.

Nigel Pearson will again be without the services of Dean Hammond who is battling a calf injury, while Anthony Knockaert remains unavailable for selection due to personal reasons. Kasper Schmeichel is “under consideration” for a start between the sticks, after stepping up his fitness with an outing for the U21’s earlier this week.

Eljero Elia is fit to return to the squad at the weekend after overcoming an ankle problem, with Ronald Koeman confirming that the Saints have no fresh injury concerns.

Arsenal’s Tomas Rosicky could be set to return for the trip to Newcastle after missing last weekend through illness. Elsewhere, Arsene Wenger concedes that long-term injury absentees Mathieu Debuchy and Mikel Arteta are still at least three weeks away from a return to action.

West Brom have doubts over front two Saido Berahino and Brown Ideye for the trip to City, whilst Jonas Olsson is also a worry due to calf and ankle problems.

John Carver faces a defender crisis as Newcastle square up against Arsenal, after confirming that Massadio Haidara remains sidelined for the weekend. The Newcastle boss also revealed that resources are stretched, with only 13 fit senior player and two goalkeepers available for selection this weekend.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream as breaking news unfolds.

    Real dilemma...

    Panti/Hamer

    Kos/Fonte/C Dawson/Bruce/Baird

    Alexis/Hazard/Silva/Punch*/Boyd

    Kun/Giroud/Kane(C)

    0.8 ITB 1FT

Would like to bring Mane or Downing but falling just 0.1 short.

I'm tempted to bring in Chadli as spurs have some nice fixtures coming up, however I fear he might be rotated.

Bringing in Phillips for Punch gives me two very weak midfielders... WHAT TO DO

west brom. a 4-0 win against sunderland counts as a win. Gus Poyet said before the match that because they were 2 low scoring team the match wouldn't end 3-3. He was right

Worth taking a -4 to bring in Toby for Fonte and Mane for Punch?

Frees up funds for Ivanovic ahead of GW34 and possibly Costa as I plan on getting Benteke for Giroud ahead of the DGW31 for villa

I was considering him before the united match but I'd be a bit concerned at their bad performance in that match so wouldn't bring him in this week. They may react to the poor performance by making changes

my worry too, would be an ideal transfer though given my budget and spurs home fixture. I have the feeling lamela will start ahead of townsend and chadli might just get a start. will prob stick and play boydinho, giving more room to maneuver for the incomign DGWs and blanks

Hi chaps, bit bored at work so have come up with various options that I'd like some advice on.

    Panti
    Terry, Fonte, Bellerin
    Hazard, Cazorla, Eriksen, Silva
    Aguero, Kane, Austin

    Subs: Krul, Moses, Naughton, CDawson
1 FT, 2.8m in the bank

    A: Save FT
B: Austin > Giroud (c) - even with the double, Giroud seems like the outstanding captaincy pick
    C: Terry > Ivan
    D: Cazorla > Mane
    E: Panti > Forster/Mignolet

    1. La Roja

for the extra 0.7m I'd say get Ivan. His attacking stats are great at the moment and he should have had a penalty assist the other day on top of his initial assist.

Forster is a good shout and their run in looks decent until GW 38 vs City

Austin has DGW but that didn't stop me bringing in Giroud. I think it could be a master stroke, plus, you could always bring austin back next week if you want....

Caz looked great against Monaco but Mane looks dangerous.....honest answer, head says stick, heart says twist

      good luck

      Hi mate.

      A) If you want to load up on DGW assets next week.
      B) If you think QPR isn't worth DGW investment.

All the others are kind of luxury transfers you can survive without.

      Personally, I would go B.

The "even" part implies you can't fathom the reason?

Zouma and Bellerin are excellent 4th defenders as they're at a budget price. You can start them and if they don't play the odd game, then another cheapie defender steps in for them.

This works less well with players that are used from the bench often, but this doesn't tend to happen with defenders as much.

Chelsea players shouldn't be rotated having not played midweek, but I can see Sanchez possibly sitting this one out. Also, if Pellegrini's job wasn't on the line, he may have been tempted to do a Ruud Gullit and bench Aguero.

Should be plenty of goals but got to fancy Barca to go through. Semis will be great if the teams you'd expect to go through do Barca, Real, Bayern, Juve.

Actually agree with Juve, just have a feeling Monaco could be the troll team this year.

Reckon Atleti will dump an out of form Real. Setting the stage for Simeone to take over at the Bernabeu... dun dun dun

I'm just going to post this once, and then leave it as I have meetings at work.

I really resent the suggestion that I am trolling, simply because I feel it's feasible that City will play Dzeko and/or Bony ahead of Aguero this weekend.

They played an intense CL game AWAY at Barcelona on Wednesday night.

They have a home game against mediocre opposition on Saturday lunchtime.

Yes, he's their best player. Yes, they don't have anything else to play for.

But it is perfectly viable that City will decide to go with fresh legs in the form of their other expensive strikers.

    Unlikely? Perhaps.

But the suggestion is not trolling - and it's pathetic to say it is.

    Rant over. Cheers.

I think it would be distinctly possible save for the fact Pellegrini's job is on the line. How would it go down with the owners, fans, media if Citeh didn't win and Aguero started on the bench??

Don't get emotional over Fantasy Football, or an internet forum for that matter.

The game is meant to be fun first and foremost, and you can switch your computer off and go talk to someone IRL if you are getting annoyed here.

      Perspective.

...and Pellegrini fears for his job. I guess dropping Aguero would be no risk for him then. 😉

Much more likely Sanchez is rested actually. That's what many Arsenal diehards think anyway.

      I'm with Foley here.
Can you not ask or make suggestions on here any more without being hounded by the troll police who I generally find are the biggest trolls around as it happens.
If you take the time to read Foleys history (i've read 15 pages...) I see no evidence of trolling.
However I don;t need to waste anymore time reading others history.
This may seem like humour and can be but it can also feel like bullying.

I made a comment a few weeks back and was called a troll by a notorious troll, it irked me somewhat so I have sympathy here.
