Nikica Jelavic faces a spell on the sidelines after undergoing knee surgery. West Brom have worries over their front two for the trip to City. QPR have concerns in defence ahead of Everton’s visit. Eljero Elia is available for Southampton’s home clash with Burnley, whilst Jason Puncheon and Wilfried Zaha are both still doubtful as Palace pay visit to Stoke.

Hull’s hopes for survival have been rocked with confirmation that Nikica Jelavic faces a minimum of six weeks on the sidelines after successfully undergoing knee surgery. Steve Bruce has also revealed that Liam Rosenior, James Chester, Mo Diame and Robbie Brady returned to training yesterday but the weekend clash against Chelsea is likely to come too soon.

Garry Monk welcomes back Federico Fernandez for the trip to Villa, with the Argentine returning to the squad after missing out against Liverpool for family reasons.

Villa, meanwhile, remain without Ron Vlaar due to a calf problem, with Tim Sherwood confirming there is no change to the injury situation following last week’s victory.

Crystal Palace remain without Marouane Chamakh for the trip to Stoke, with the Moroccan struggling to overcome a hamstring injury. Alan Pardew is also sweating on the status of Jason Puncheon and Wilfried Zaha, after both were forced off with knocks in the win over QPR. The pair faces late fitness tests, with Pardew confirming that they would be back in time for Gameweek 31, if not on Saturday.

Chris Ramsey has revealed that Mauricio Isla (knee) will be assessed ahead of the weekend visit of Everton, while youngster Darnell Furlong remains a doubt with a calf injury. Meanwhile, Ramsey remains hopeful that Rio Ferdinand will be fit to return to the squad against the Toffees.

Nigel Pearson will again be without the services of Dean Hammond who is battling a calf injury, while Anthony Knockaert remains unavailable for selection due to personal reasons. Kasper Schmeichel is “under consideration” for a start between the sticks, after stepping up his fitness with an outing for the U21’s earlier this week.

Eljero Elia is fit to return to the squad at the weekend after overcoming an ankle problem, with Ronald Koeman confirming that the Saints have no fresh injury concerns.

Arsenal’s Tomas Rosicky could be set to return for the trip to Newcastle after missing last weekend through illness. Elsewhere, Arsene Wenger concedes that long-term injury absentees Mathieu Debuchy and Mikel Arteta are still at least three weeks away from a return to action.

West Brom have doubts over front two Saido Berahino and Brown Ideye for the trip to City, whilst Jonas Olsson is also a worry due to calf and ankle problems.

John Carver faces a defender crisis as Newcastle square up against Arsenal, after confirming that Massadio Haidara remains sidelined for the weekend. The Newcastle boss also revealed that resources are stretched, with only 13 fit senior player and two goalkeepers available for selection this weekend.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream as breaking news unfolds.

If you own many of the popular captaincy options but none of them stand out, isn't it the best time to go for a differential? You will have half of the points covered so the risk is mitigated a bit.

No idea what to do with this, any suggestions?

    Foster Krul
    Terry Bertrand Wollscheid (Naughton PvA)
    Hazard Sanchez Silva Eriksen (Boyd)
    Aguero Kane Austin
    2FT 0.1 itb

All I can think of is Foster > Guzan to get him for the double (and play this week), but even with the double I'm not sure I want a Villa keeper...

Other thought is Bertrand > Toby just to generate some cash and not waste the FT.

    Any other suggestions?

Is it worth getting Giroud in this week for a hit? Y or N - the first to 5 wins!
I have the cash but would have to bench one of this midfield.

    Pants/Krul
    Kompany / Rose / Zouma / Bellerin / Baird
    Haz / Silva / Cazorla / Mane / Eriksen
    Kun / Kane / Barnes

Mane is the best option this week and probably long term too . Siggy could be a great option in the next few weeks but maybe not this week imo

Siggy or Hendo (or Phillips if you are brave and need the cash)
The leftfield option is Fellaini - you heard it here first!

Don't bench austin, everton just conceded 5 against an average dinamo kiev side. Flip a coin between fonte and kos, but you're prob right to just edge towards fonte on bench.

This is what I'm thinking because I think Kos edges it with attacking potential. Although I'd back a Saints cs slightly more I think

I don't think so, Soton look nailed for a CS. Fonte a BAP king also, and as I'm sure you've seen Innsie say (who's captaining Fonte), Burnley concede a lot from set pieces and Fonte has had many attempts lately, so he is 'due' a goal...

So if Liverpool beat blackburn on the 8th of April, the blank for Gw33 (18th of April semi) will be confirmed.
They can then have their match rearranged either for Gw34 or 37.
As a wildcard holder, I think the best scenario would be for liverpool to beat Blackburn and have their match rescheduled for Gw 34. That way we can plan our next transfers for Gw33 team. Then wildcard the crap out.

    Agreed?

Good call. That way I could have costa as my third striker, then wildcard in sturridge as a decent differential for Costa after.

    A) mane for sterling
    B) save ft and bring in Giroud next week for Austin however Austin has a dgw
    C) four point hit for Giroud for Austin this week (won't be able to get mane)

    Advice much appreciated lads

    So should I..

Panti > Fabianski, then do Fabianski > Mignolet in 2 weeks (after Man U & Arse)

Or just do Panti > Mignolet straight away?
