Need a bit of help guys as am really trying to work out my team, Im one of the unlucky ones who has used my WC already but this is only my second season doing this so I will learn from my mistakes!:
Current team (GW33):
Fabianski (Myhill)
Clyne -- Ivan -- Schlupp -- (Dawson) -- (Bellerin)
Eriksen -- Hazard -- Silva -- Boyd -- (Sanchez)
Kane -- Aguero -- Remy
1FT - £0.0ITB
Do I:
Sanchez > Henderson (like for like on my sub bench plus it would free up some funds to do 2 x extra Pool players next week for a -4).
1/2 week punt:
Boyd > Bolasie (punt for a -4 plus Bolasie might well score better than Boyd this week).
Or I transfer out Eriksen > Henderson now, benching Sanchez alongside him, holding for the eventual ARS double and therefore meaning I will have to revert to a 4-3-3, bringing in Dawson (A v CRY) into the defence and having a midfield three of Hazard, Silva and Boyd. Ditching Sanchez might well help me with the run in but as many Id imagine Im struggling to let go. Same goes with Kun who I have pondered dropping for the DGW but his fixture at home v Villa is enticing to hold him.
Hope this makes some sort of sense. Any advice on what to do would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers all!I'd save a transfer. Next week I'd sell Eriksen for a Liverpool mid, maybe Hendersen, and then see if you have the money to bring in a Liverpool Defender for perhaps Bellerin
in sort of the same boat, how much funds do u have tied up with Sanchez?
Bought Sanchez in at 10.9.
Just wandering whether his funds could be best used elsewhere?.
Value wise I'm still learning this game so want to make the best poss decisions I can without screwing myself over lol!
Play Eriksen this week, and carry over that 1FT.
Next week before the GW34 deadline, Eriksen out to Pool mid, and then you have one more FT to play with, or could even take a -4 to get an extra DGW player..... consider the hit carefully though.
Basically.... I would just hold fire this week.Cheers!
I might just hold as thinking about it, it does make a lot of sense plus I can field a 3-4-3 with Eriksen & Boyd. (Not expecting much from them mind lol!).
Out of interest, would u drop either of Sanchez/Aguero for the DGW to allow funds for 2 poss extra pool players as it seems the only way realistically.
So let's settle this. Which one is better for the run in?
A. Ospina + Skrtel/Moreno
B. Migs + KosA
A with Skrtel
A for the money saved
A
A
A quite comfortably.
with Moreno aight? 😉
If you wanna be a cheapskate like me 😉
A
A
Well that was conclusive!
Indeed. Quite surprising to me.
Had to WC this week. Any thoughts very welcome. Here's first draft:
Schmeichel
Ivan. Toby. Schlupp.
Hazard. Silva. Fabregas. Cork.
Vardy. Aguero. Kane.
Ospina. Sterling. Skrtel. PVA. 1.7 Banked. For GW 34 onwards, which would you prefer?
A) Davis + Koscienly + Coutinho (Already have Toby)
B) Ospina + Duff + Sterling + 1.0 ITB
Planned defence at this stage is:
Davis/Schemic
Ivan, Skrtel, Toby, Kosc, PvAYou know my answer. B
To be fair, I don't understand the logic in it other then cash saved...
Actually, never mind. My eyes have opened 😯
A
B out of those 2 options as you'll want to play Ivan, Skrtel and Toby almost every week.
It's such a luxury making a transfer that isn't a Leicester or Chelsea player at this stage, considering they don't have a blank this week with a following dgw.
A - Skrtel, Fabregas, Giroud
B - Moreno, Sanchez, RemyA
A

A
Thanks everyone, that went as expected, just needed confirmation that A was definitely the better choice
Anyone know much about De Laet and his likely game time? He may be the enabler I'm looking for in my WC team.
Was taken off at half time due to poor performance in last game. Morgan possible? Or go cheap and try Bruce.
Subbed at half time in the last match, switch to three at at the back won them the game.
Think they'll likely continue with that shape, with Wasilewski or Upson coming in. Morgan is a safe pick.I wouldn't be at all confident on his gametime
Cheers all
any midfielder for this week only? thinking yaya as hes always got a big haul in him...
anyone im looking past?Lennon potentially 😯
worryingly i looked at that too.
Palace the obvious choice. Shelvey could be a decent punt
anyone who plays Hull
Myhill (Foster)
Clyne, Alderweireld, Zouma (PVA, Bellerin)
Hazard, Eriksen, Puncheon, Siggy (Cazorla)
Aguero, Kane (Austin)
Any better moves than Caz & Zouma to Fabregas and Ivanovic this week? 2FT & £5.3M in the bank.DGW, with this move I have 8 DGWplayers
Eriksen& Phillips&Rose---Sterling&Henderson&Skrtel -8
Yes or no?This is for next week, right?
Who's the best keeper to bring in for this week only?
Howard
Howard or Hart
Not Hart
Team for this week:
Krul
Clyne, Bertrand, Wollscheid, Ivan
Hazard, Mane, Eriksen, Amoebi
Kun, Kane
Looks same as everyone 😮Hell no. Nothing like mine...or anyone else's for that matter. 😕
Ameobi is different, but that's probably not a good thing!
Aguero to Sturridge and Austin to Remy last week. Anyone top that?
Ouch. At least Austin did not do much!
Austin ---> Gomis instead of doing Austin ----> Murray. Was 50/50 between Gomis and Murray
yay or nay? Moreno and Sanchez to Jagielka and Yaya for this week only? Wildcarding next week.
I dont think Yaya is a good pick
I know it's a bit far ahead, but who are people planning to bring in from Arsenal?
Giroud is a given, as is one or even two mids, probably Rambo and Sanchez/Cazorla.
What about the defence though? They are doing well defensively and getting an Arsenal defender in on the GW34 WC could be a good bet to free up a transfer later.
What's with Ospina? Reckon he'll stay in net for the rest of the season? Beyond that, is Kosc the safest defender among the threat of rotation in the full-back areas?Ospina, Sanchez, Giroud.
+1
Am toying with Ospina but what puts me off him is that I'd rather have Gru, Ramsay and Cazorla before him.
If I get Ospina in my WC team then I'm good but as you say it means I can only have two attackers. Can't decide between the Arsenal mids anyway to be honest
Ozil and Giroud. Maybe Ramsey as well.
Kosc, Sanchez, Giroud
Plannign for Giroud + 2 mids , probably Ramsey + Øzil
A lot of people won't be able to afford Sanchez so I expect Ramsey to get a lot of attention. He's an easy swap for a DGWer such as Fabregas or Sterling.
Koscielney is probably the most reliable defensive option. Every other position is up in the air so its hard to look past him really.Good points. I won't pick any Arsenal mids on my WC and will wait until GW36/37 to get one in, and Giroud will come in for Remy (if I pick him) GW35 but I'm just not sure about the defence.
Koscielny is the only safe bet in defence. I'll be getting him, keeping Giroud and getting Ozil in.
Planning for Ramsey, Sanchez and Giroud
atm - Ospina, Rambo/Ozil, Giroud
I have Ospina and its making it difficult to chose between Ramsey and Sanchez.
The defence is a very good option.
I'm probably avoiding for a couple of reasons though:
Already have Chelsea, Liverpool and Southampton defenders, all nailed on with attacking threat, and more than happy to play them for the rest of the season.
One of the DGW matches is away at Old Trafford - CS very unlikely you would think, so more upside with their attackers.
There's no stand out option. Ospina seems nailed on for now, but I might as well play Pantilimon (who I already own) for his DGW that week. Debuchy/Bellerin/Chambers, Montreal/Gibbs and Mertesacker/Gabriel seem likely to continue being rotated, whilst Koscielny's niggly injuries keep recurring.Agree that the midfielders have more upside. More a question of budget and juggling the transfers. I'm looking to keep one Arsenal player over GW34, Giroud, Øzil or Ramsey depending on choice og GW34 team, to make transfers easier down the line.
Thanks for sharing that!
I'm thinking Sanchez Ozil Giroud
A) Fabregas + Skrtel
or
B) Sterling + TerryB
A
B, for me. I'm not sure Fabs is heavy enough at present. Good diff though.
Yeah thinking this as well. Apart from Hazard there aren't a lot of good Chelsea attacking options, not that they are scoring goals for fun anyway.
B
B, but personally I might go B + Skrtel
I have Mignolet and plan on getting Hendo as well. Lots of good options at Liverpool
B
A) Skrtel and Alderweireld
B) Moreno and ClyneA
A
A
Not much in it. B is probably more attacking.

Unanimous. Cheers.

B
Moses - chances of playing ??
23%
Not likely
What happened with Sturridge last night? I wasn't about. Any indication it was something more serious than just being Daniel Sturridge?
"Liverpool confirm Sturridge picked up a knock during cup win at Blackburn"
That should be ok by the time the DGW comes around then. Although he is Daniel Sturridge
Palace scoring for fun.
WBA leaking goals for fun.
Anyone think WBA might tighten up at the back this week in response??Yes but I thought that last week.
Absolutely. I can see a 0-0 on the cards and have put 2 x WBA defenders as a result.
😯
for a -4
Austin to Vardy
Moses to Cambiasso
Naughton to Terry
aye or nae ???????Do you need to do Moses to Cambiasso to field 11 this week or to release cash? If not I'd just do the other 2.
Could have done with that NEW penalty last night to deny the Liverpud cs. 😡
Liverpool defence is really solid at the moment.
did you watch the game? no it wasn't.
Mignolet made 3 saves. Thats perfectly reasonable I think
That's because Lovren was playing.
Hi guys I have used my FT this week for austin > vardy.
I can only field 10 players... Is it worth taking a -4 to do Cazorla > Fabregas?
Thanks!Yes. 3 games for the price of 1.
Yes, I'd say it is.
Daniel Sturridge is probably the most injury prone player I have ever seen
*Darren Anderton
Never heard of Diaby?
Wenger doesn't even remember him
Any more injury prone and you would not have seen him
I'm guessing these players never got into the habit of doing stretches. Can't think of any other logical explanation.
Looking at 2 WC options, mostly about how I use the third Liverpool slot. A or B better?
A
McGregor Ospina
Schlupp Terry SKRTEL Van Aanholt Duff
Fab Haz Sterling Henderson SANCHEZ
Vardy Aguero Kane
B
McGregor Ospina
Schlupp Terry WOLLSCHEID Van Aanholt Duff
Fab Haz Sterling Henderson COUTINHO
Vardy Aguero Kane
Option A looks better at first glance to me, but B gives me about 5 million in the bank to instantly do Vardy >Giroud, or a Liverpool mid > Sanchez, and has the advantage of one more attacking player for the DGW, instead of Sanchez vs Chelsea.if you can afford to get Sanchez back, then get rid of him
I bought at 10.5, so selling at 10.9. I reckon he may drop .1 or .2, so it could only cost me 0.2 to get him back in.
McGregor has been benched last week, I'd pick another keeper, maybe Schmeichel.
people who don't have a wildcard.....
who you bringing in this week ?????????????A Leicester player most probably
Fabregas
2 free transfers and 0.4 in the bank. Thinking about Eriksen to Henderson this week leaving this:
Myhill
Terry, Clyne, Alderwerield, Wollscheid
Hazard, Silva, Boyd
Aguero, Kane, Remy
Baird, Henderson, Sanchez
Then next week Silva and Clyne to Sterling and Skrtel/Moreno
Then week after Remy to Giroud
Sounds good?Any UCL team ??? who to captain for today
1. CR7
2. TEVEZ
3. KOKE
4. BALEFor a -4:
a) Naughton + Ozil + Austin -----> Schlupp Fabregas Vardy
b) Naughton + Moses + Austin -----> Terry Cambiasso VardyFor this gameweek only. Would you rather have Kane or Vardy?
Kane obviously. You can swap them for the dgw later.
Thanks!
