Danny Welbeck is ruled out of Arsenal’s trip to United. Winston Reid returns for West Ham, John O’Shea could be back for Sunderland’s double Gameweek, whilst David Nugent remains sidelined for Leicester.

Arsene Wenger has conceded that Danny Welbeck remains unavailable for Arsenal’s trip to United on Sunday. Earlier this morning, the Gunners boss went on to say “I think Aaron Ramsey will be alright”, after a knock prevented the Welshman from training over the last few days. Mikel Arteta and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain remain sidelined, whilst Mathieu Debuchy returned to training yesterday after being sidelined with a hamstring injury.

Danny Rose is fully fit for Tottenham after being named amongst the subs with a groin problem last week. Emmanuel Adebayor is a doubt due to illness, whilst Kyle Walker and Ben Davies remain sidelined through injury.

Nathan Baker is back in training for Villa, though this weekend’s trip to Southampton comes too soon for the defender. Libor Kozak has been ruled out with a back problem, whilst Tim Sherwood has revealed that Gary Gardner and Callum Robertson have been training with the first-team this week.

Leicester’s Matty James is sidelined with a knee injury and is set for surgery which could keep him sidelined for months. David Nugent misses out again due to a calf complaint, though Andy King has recovered from injury and is available for the trip to Sunderland.

Morgan Schneiderlin and Jay Rodriguez miss out again for Southampton, though Ronald Koeman has revealed the pair could feature in next weekend’s trip to City. James Ward-Prowse returns from a one-match suspension, whilst Dusan Tadic remains sidelined through injury.

QPR midfielder Sandro is still unavailable for selection due to work permit issues. Bobby Zamora is a doubt, though Nedum Onouha returns from a one-match suspension for the visit of Newcastle. Steven Caulker will require pain-killing injection on a broken hand in order to retain his start in central defence.

Leighton Baines is sidelined for the final two Gameweeks after undergoing minor ankle surgery. Roberto Martinez has confirmed that, aside from the left-back, Everton’s squad will be unchanged from the one that faced Sunderland last weekend.

Winston Reid is set to return to the West Ham squad for the visit of Everton. Fellow defender James Tomkins remains hopeful of returning in time for the Gameweek 38 trip to Newcastle.

Siem de Jong and Adam Armstrong are still unavailable for Newcastle’s trip to QPR. Gabriel Obertan is back in the squad, whilst Papiss Cisse is “in a good place” after a full week’s training, according to John Carver.

John O’Shea hopes to recover from a rib injury in time for Sunderland’s home encounter with Leicester.

      What is your bench? Not sure on Schlupp and a good first sub could be handy if Hazard doesn't play.

              Only reason that statistics can appear as a greater lie than anybody's subjective opinion, is that there is always an amount of truth in statistics.

            But doesn't help much if his finishing is poor? I'm thinking Øzil stand just as much chance of getting the assists, and is also almost guaranteed to start both.

                .. must admit I haven't watched the matches. But just thinking good stats but meagre goal returns should mean final output lacking. But could be due to change in next matches, of course

                It has been god awful this season. All season. His all season (PL + CL) conversion rate is about 7%, and that is with penalties. Non-penalty goal rate is 1/92. 1 goal from 92 shots. Even inside the box, it's 1 from 37. It's hard to find a player with a lower rate who has actually scored.

            It's a bit of a mystery. He's known to have quite decent shot, and he's been using it quite a lot recently, and yet his scoring record is an awful read. So many shots and yet no goals for 9 matches (or 10 GW's) already. Had you got after the Villa smashing, he would have frustrated the hell out of you.

    Was kinda set on selling Silva for Sanchez this week with a -4 to allow this to happen somewhere but after Silva's performance at the weekend and Arsenal losing, City will surely be pulling out all the stops to finish the season on a high and two impressive wins should follow..

    Pants
    Bellerin // Ivanovic // Toby
    Hazard // Sterling // Silva // Albrighton
    Kane // Aguero // Giroud

    Kasper // Puncheon // Dawson // Wolls and 0.8 in the bank..

      Im looking at doing:
      A. Hazard & Dawson ----> Sanchez & PVA (-4)

      Does anything else look better?
      Ill probably bring Hazard back in for the final gameweek

      B. other option is Sterling & Ivanovic ----> Sanchez & PVA so I dont need to bring Hazard back in next week!

    I think it's fair to assume that of Arsenal's attacking options, Sanchez, Ozil, Giroud and Cazorla are the nailed on starters for both fixtures.

    Is everyone in agreement that Sanchez is the biggest "must have this week" ? And consequently, the rightful (C) ?

      Yep, although he'll probably end up with two points.

    Sunday Express journalist John Richardson on Bale to United:

    “I think it’s almost a done deal to be honest."

    “I know somebody very close to Gareth Bale and the public are not hearing the real thing."

    “He [Bale] is very unhappy there and he’s unhappy with his treatment.”

      His information could be genuine, but that doesn't mean it will happen. The Madrid fans must be a nightmare to play for if you aren't on your game. He won them two Cups last year with his goals ffs.

              They have a long history of doing so. Some 120 years, I've understood. Read this, for example:

              http://www.blog.woolwicharsenal.co.uk/archives/4490

              Recently, they've been jeering at least Özil, Giroud, Ramsey be for he hit form, Nasri after he didn't sign a new contract, Wenger all the time, and who not, really. It's not accidental that a significant portion of Arsenal's match going fans have received a name Anti-Arsenal fans.

      Should be unhappy with his treatment too. I would much rather sell Ronaldo to ManU, though, if I was Perez, and keep Bale.

    Morning Lads,

    Chasing a 23 pt mini league.

    Myhill
    PVA Schlupp Rose
    Cambiasso Hazard Sanchez Cazorla
    Giroud Aguero Vardy

    Bench: Coloccini Puncheon Zouma
    ITB:0.5

    A = Defoe>Vardy
    B= Defoe + Gomez >Vardy, Punch (-4)
    C= Defoe+ Larsson> Vardy, Punch (-4)

    taking a hit for a sunderland player makes me sick but isn't it the time to gamble ?
    Cheers

      Whats the team your chasing like? Really depends on number of differentials.

      Defoe for Vardy seems fair enough, not convinced on the other options.

        Rusty,

        He's currently got:

        Ospina
        Alderweireld rose Ivan
        fellaini cazorla sanchez haz
        tekkers vardy aguero

        Bench: cambiasso moreno Wilson
        ITB: 0.2

        The giroud differential is key imo
        I think I NEED to pick Defoe
        not sure abt the sunderland midfielder hit ?
