With only three days remaining until the 2015/16 Premier League campaign gets underway, we thought we’d take an in-depth look at the first match of the domestic season, which took place last Sunday. Arsenal’s 1-0 Community Shield victory over Chelsea finally broke Arsene Wenger’s winless streak over nemesis Jose Mourinho, thanks to Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s first-half wonder strike.

As Fantasy managers start to fine-tune their final 15-man squads for the campaign ahead, our next members article delves into the data from Wembley’s weekend showdown.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

One concerns are the painful addition of Kun, and whether to swap wally for sterling. Think this is ok to start

    Ozil/Carzola/Ramsey
    Milner/Hendo/Lallana
    Sterling?
    mata/depay/rooney

    Kane/Chadli/Eriksen

We'll never get the arsenal MF right, but they might share the points and Sanchez will possibly take over especially if they dont sign a striker.

Chadli for Spurs is value. Kane overpriced imo.

Rooney or Depay if you fancy a gamble. Mata will lose place to Pedro.

So if planning on wildcarding GW4, which option would you rather pick and start every GW:

    A) Benteke+Chadli
    or
    B) Sakho+ Wally

A reason along with your pick would be appreciated, cheers!

If I was torn between those choices I would have to go B. Sakho had great fixtures 2 and 3 and with Alexis likely to be eased in Walcott should feature more prominently than on average

    2. Moore FPL
      • 11 Years
      10 years, 6 months ago

Hmmm tricky. Benteke a doubt for GW1 but prob plays GW2 onwards, not sure Wally plays all games.
If Wally plays all games, B but otherwise A.

      A)
Benteke - sto, BOU, ars, WHU
Chadli - mun, STO, lei, EVE

      B)
Sakho - ars, LEI, BOU, liv
Walcott - WHU, cpl, LIV, new

Fixtures pretty much a toss-up, but I'd give the edge to Walcott and Sakho.
Personally I'd go with Sakho and Walcott, if nothing else because Benteke is playing for a new team, whereas Walcott and Sakho remain on the same team.

I've found the same thing. I'd like to squeeze him in, but Hazard and Aguero are must-haves for me, and I can't find a way to free up funds for a 9.5 striker without seriously affecting my team balance.

    Pantilimon (Hennessey)
Koscielny . Azpilicueta . Cedric (Huth . Francis)
Hazard . Walcott . Sterling . Mané (Fletcher)
    Rooney . Sakho . Wilson

    0.5 in the bank (when Aguero's fit, I'll do Rooney & Sterling -> Aguero & Milner/Chadli)

Yeah that was very poor against Stuttgart. But the central midfield was Evans and Nasri. The defence had no protection at all. When Zuculini came on in the second half it didnt look as bad. I think Delph will prove a better addition than some give him credit.
