With only three days remaining until the 2015/16 Premier League campaign gets underway, we thought we’d take an in-depth look at the first match of the domestic season, which took place last Sunday. Arsenal’s 1-0 Community Shield victory over Chelsea finally broke Arsene Wenger’s winless streak over nemesis Jose Mourinho, thanks to Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s first-half wonder strike.

As Fantasy managers start to fine-tune their final 15-man squads for the campaign ahead, our next members article delves into the data from Wembley’s weekend showdown.

    Arsenal could easily concede to West Ham, Palace and Liverpool. All are much improved this season imo.

      I think I need to improve my defence but its really hard to drop any of Haz,Wally,Sterling or Mane 🙁

      Tekkers & Mane -> Pelle & Milner would free 1.5 to improve defence but it just feels so big step backwards.

      You've not see any of them play yet, so hard to say they're "much improved" just yet!

      Liverpool do have an actual striker though which can only be considered an improvement, so I'll give you that one...

          Don't think that's a big issue when it comes to a defender tbh. it's unlikely that's he's gunna explode with a 20 point game as someone like Haz or Theo could.

        But the first 12 players are still reasonably good. Although he clearly has a strong belief in Arsenal. Which he may be right to have, I don't know, but he has as many Arsenal players as he has ManU, City, Chelsea and Liverpool players combined.

          Everything else looks delicious. As a 3rd/4th defender for 5.0, could easily have Williams or Cedric. CS easier to predict than the random goal or assist from Janmaat.

    Anyone else struggling with choosing their strikers?

    Aguero, Costa, Giroud and Benteke, four of the main strikers for top 6 sides might not start GW1.

    Kane's been ignored on here most of pre-season, is he now the most obvious pick up top?

      Yes, you look at the top 6/7 teams and Kane jumps off the page as the only regular starter apart from Rooney (who you should have already!) and Aguero.

      Costa's injuries make him a no-go, Giroud is not guaranteed to start and personally Benteke worries me.

      Plus, Spurs fixtures are great after week 1.

      Yep, and I not even keen on getting Rooney unlike most others here, so strikers decision getting more tougher for me. Kane is the only forward currently nailed in my team. I think I might even straightaway go for Aguero. Would save a few headaches later on.

            Ward, Leicester defenders and promoted sides. Not exactly great.

            But my real point is that most teams will barely use their 5th defender and so I see that 0.5 as a bit of a waste personally.

      Since when do you drop a striker after one bad game? It's a confidence game and Walcott scored well at the end of the season and played FA Cup. Fab and Apzi also had a bad game but don't see people clamouring for them to be dropped.

      If somehow Giroud does end up starting with Walcott on one of the wings, I can't see Wenger benching Ox after he delivered vs Chelsea giving Wenger his first victory over Mourinho. By process of elimination, that means.....
