FFS UEFA Champions League Tournament 2015/2016 – Qualifying Round 1

Ladies and Gentlemen! Welcome to the Fantasy Football Scout UEFA Champions League 2015/2016. I am pleased to say that there was an extraordinary amount of interest shown amongst the community for this tournament and 128 players were selected to enter the Qualifying Rounds.

As you may remember from my previous article, the qualifying rounds will be head-to-head based and will take place on Gameweeka 2 and 4. These will be single elimination, meaning those teams who are successful in Gameweek 2 will advance to the second qualifying round due to take place in Gameweek 4. After Gameweek 4, 32 successful teams will proceed to the group stages.

Due to the sheer number of players, there are two qualifying ‘Pods’, A and B, each consisting of 64 players. The winners of each Pod will advance to the second round of qualifying where they will be paired against each other in another head-to-head fixture. In the event of a tie, the team with the highest goals scored will go through.

Without further ado, here are the fixtures for the first round of qualifying.

        I'm sure you didn't mean to post this as a reply, but since you did, I feel obliged to give you some feedback.

        Get rid of Bolasie, swap him out for Payet/Ayew.

        I'd contemplate a WC though, team doesn't look to be in the best shape.

          I apologize for that man, not really clear on how to post a question or comment.

          Anyways, swapping out bolasie for payet would be a great idea.
          However Mane caught my eye last game, created many scoring chances.

    Evenin all...

    I'm in the throes of my usual post GW1 disastrous shambles of a gameweek, but nevertheless, am I bonkers or is this team decent??? Light in defence I'll grant you but is that only on paper? DEF's are from teams who look like they'll be tight enough and will benefit from new BPS system...and as for the rest of the team - please rate on quality and my bonkersness out of 10.....

        Probably not if gameweek one is anything to go by. To be honest just happy to participate im very lucky and fortunate in the fact I've managed to win a competition many people won't get to do that. Just happy to have been invited along for the ride 😀
