We turn our attentions to Fantasy Bet this evening as I continue my quest to turn my £100 pot into profit.

For those unfamiliar, the initial player prices and scoring system in Fantasy Bet are very similar to Fantasy Premier League, making it an accessible weekly and daily format for those who pay a lot of attention to the official game.

This week in Fantasy Bet there is a Fantasy Football Scout league with an impressive £500 guaranteed pot on offer for a rather reasonable entry fee of only £0.55. This league covers all ten fixtures and I will be entering a Scout Picks team into the mix. There’s also a £100 free-roll available – I’ve gone 3-5-2 here and stocked up on midfielders mentioned in the Weekly Shop article, with Memphis Depay, Yohan Cabaye and Nathan Redmond all finding a spot alongside in-form Dimitri Payet and Riyad Mahrez.

The Bottom Line

Before I explain the competitions I’ll be entering this week in Fantasy Bet, I recap here how I got on over the previous set of fixtures. A disappointing start last week to my Fantasy Bet season was mainly down to being a single point off the money in the Saturday DoubleUp, narrowly losing out in 5th place. An extra point in that game would likely have kicked the challenge off with a positive balance, however the £7.70 stake was still offset by £4.75 of winnings, leaving me only £2.95 down for the week. Even a position of 134th in the Freeroll game provided some winnings, granted it was only £0.55 but it shows even an average result can bring rewards.

This Week’s Stake

Weekly games – For £0.55 I’ve entered the Scout Picks into the FFScout £500 GTD league, though there are some alterations due to budget and I also pick a captain.

I’ve also entered a team into the £100 Freeroll and another into the £50 Flash Freeroll game, this format requires the competitor to pick their team within 3 minutes – any gaps left are then filled with auto-complete.

I’ve also parted with £1.10 to enter a Head to Head contest with two other players – this is a Winner Takes All game.

Daily games – After coming so close to the money places last week I’ll also be entering the Saturday DoubleUp once again, this contest costs £3.30 to enter.

Total Stake: £4.95

FFScout League

As mentioned, Fantasy Bet have now made the opportunity for the community to take on the scout picks much more enticing with a £500 guaranteed pot this week. With only a £0.55 entry fee required to have a shot at beating the scouts, the winner’s team will be posted here in the next article.

Bateman’s team won last week with an excellent score of 69 points, Dimitri Payet, Nathaniel Clyne, Sergio Romero and his captain Christian Benteke all bringing in 8 or more points each. Fantasy Football Scout’s Mark managed a very respectable second place finished with 64 points.

Is Sagna really worth picking up considering Zaba is only out for a month?

You'll get 3-4 games of rotation risk free games out of Sagna and then he's a risk again.

Seems like you're creating yourself a transfer waiting to happen.

Depend what formation ur playing? If 2 up front...i'd leave it as it is. If playing 3 up front it'll be hard to bench the 5th mid....i'd downgrade either depay or mane to someone like wanyama to free some funds and sort ir sub problem out.

      I have similar midfiled of:

      Sanchez yaya mane payet wanyama

Playing 3-4-3 with aguero gomis and sakho up front.

Mane is frustrating at the moment but hopefully will start to score some points this weekend.

Dawson probably but I would wait and see they are also about to sign Fazio from spurs.

    Which would you do?

    A) PVA -> Sagna

    B) Hendo -> Ayew

Would be for a -4 hit.

    PLEASE HELP!

I'm currently on awful wifi just outside the Amazon rainforest and I'm having an FPL shocker.

    My team

    Panti,

    Azpi, Mert, Cedric

    Haz, Walcott, Chadli, Sterling

    Roonpig, Pelle

    Hennessey, Huth, Francis, Wilson, Sinclair

I can get just about enough wifi to see that all my players are dropping in price - any recommendations on transfers? Or should I find an Internet cafe and play my wildcard? It's so hard to research enough to know who's worth getting....I can't even load a fixture list!

    Thanks in advance.

Things are so bad you've stuck five on the bench.....I'd find Internet cafe and play WC

Transfer out Walcott -> Mahrez/Ayew. Definitely.

I got rid of Rooney but he does have a plum fixture v Newcastle so up to you.

      Rest looks okay to me!

Wifi in the Amazon. Who would have thought

You somehow need to get Aguero in and probably take out walcott (for maybe mahrez), i think he is down to 8.7 now. if you could do this without WC then even better

    4. Jafooli

If you don't want to play WC probably need to consider shipping Walcott first....how may FT's and money ITB?

Cheers guys - got 2 FT and none in the bank (I think) but team won't load properly!
I've just noticed I changed Walcott for Ozil yesterday (kind of regret) so have 1 more FT. Downgrade Sterling to afford Roon to Aguero maybe?

I'd get Aguero in sooner than later, his price will rise further making it difficult to get him in.

Might take a 4 point hit to get Aguero, can afford Mahrez or Redmond if I do with my Sterling downgrade. Which is better? Or do I wait until after this weeks fixtures to avoid the hit?

What would you rather have if price was no issue:

    A) Courtois and McCarthy
    B) Butlans and Gomes (or any 4.5GK)

Liverpool only have one win at the Emirates...and it was ugly.

"This remains the Reds’ only ever win at the Emirates, and it came during an ugly game of football at the start of the 2011/12 campaign.

A dour contest was sparked into life with 20 minutes left, when youngster Emmanuel Frimpong received a second yellow card for a reckless lunge on Lucas Leiva.

Liverpool made the extra man count, with Ramsey’s unfortunate own goal giving them a 78th-minute lead, and Suarez sealing the win in the dying moments."
