After assessing the Defenders and Midfielders over the first four Gameweeks, our latest members articles focuses on the forwards. We turn our attentions to Bournemouth, Stoke and Swansea’s in-form frontmen, whilst we also analyse Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool’s strikers after disappointing starts to the season.

International football really gets in the way of real fantasy football fun!
-
First ever first comment. Happy again now. Small things.
-
Welcome
-
-
-
If Scotland and Ireland finish on same points do Scotland get third on head to head?
-
Yes
-
Thanks.Still think we'll do it then
-
Really?
-
-
-
-
Like my foward line
Benteke Aguero Diouf-
You should.
-
Only fancy one of those.
Think you can guess which one.-
Diouf - only one scoring?
-
-
-
Celebrate good times, com'on!

I bought that when it came out 🙂
-
me toos. 🙂
that and a massive poster of gerry armstrong
-
-
-
When is the first round of midweek fpl matches?
-
January
-
Last week in December, i believe
-
-
With Albania losing, the only undefeated nations left are: England, Bales, Romania, Austria and Italy.
-
Undefeated is almost as good as 100%.
-
-
The most expensive player in FPL is very rarely worth it. Wondering if Aguero will be any different?
-
I can confirm he will be.
-
I completely agree that he will score points this season. But will he be the leading points scorer? A lot of attacking options at City now, much more so than last season. Points might be shared.
-
He will, yes.
-
-
-
Rvp was essential.
And Lampard before him.
And Ronaldo before him.
And Greaves before him.-
RvP, when 14m was awful.
Yaya last season - awful.-
RvP when 14m was gold for the first half and the very end of his 1st season at United
scored almost every week,-
I don't think he was 14m then, was he? I'm talking second season.
-
oh he was 14m for 2 seasons running
2nd season at United he was bloody awful, like the rest of our squad
-
-
-
-
-
oh Aguero is terrible VFM
It's the captaincy premium you're paying for. He's probably the only player in FPL that you'd feel ok captaining in any game-
Its a decent point. Not many players you would happily captain in a tough game.
-
-
-
So this has probably been done to death over the Int'l break, but not been on much for a week.
Captains armband on Aguero 3 weeks in a row and hope he finally explodes OR
Sanchez who has explosion imminent (see that Members table) written all over him AND the team stats for Ars are also shoing the same threat.
Really looking forward to Captain Sensible this week. What do people think in advance of that?-
I'll be off Sanchez.
-
The favourite has failed every week.
Kun. -
I think Sanchez is a little bit of a differential right now, so going to go for him.
But can also see Palace v City being high scoring. Tough choice!
-
-
"According to Canal +, Arsenal central defender Laurent Koscielny missed tonight’s match between France and Serbia because of an injury to his psoas.
While this omission was merely precautionary it is unclear whether this could lead to a longer absence for the player."
http://t.co/7XOU3Yf17H-
His what? That's not even a real thing.
-
his what?
-
groin
-
Psoas.
-
-
His psoas?
-
Looks a painful thing to twang.
-
boo.
-
"Laurent Koscielny has moved to deny claims that he was injured this evening, speaking to reporters after France beat Serbia tonight."
Moving on then.. -
Can this be unstickied? He's just confirmed to reporters in the mixed zone he wasn't injured
-
🙁
-
-
-
Any word on tekers injury?
-
What injury?
-
He didn't play Belgium's first international game.
-
Played the one after.
-
And was withdrawn at half time due to ?
Not unreasonable to think it was injury.-
Due to being crap apparently.
-
-
-
-
-
Better, but might have a new psoas injury.
-
Played for Belgium so think he's okay now. Flag gone off on FPL
-
Wait for Sherwood's presser
-
its more of an affliction than an injury
-
-
The psoas major (/ˈsoʊ.əs/ or /ˈsoʊ.æs/,The word psoas comes from the Greek psoa meaning the “loin region.”) is a long fusiform muscle located on the side of the lumbar region of the vertebral column and brim of the lesser pelvis. It joins the iliacus muscle to form the iliopsoas.
____
That should clear things up.-
hes injured his loins.
-
e.g. 'I have a burning in my psoas'
-
That's something more serious. See a doctor.
-
-
-
Gheorghe Hagi was class
-
That he was
-
Dumitrescu and Popescu, what a team they had.
-
Petrescu as well
-
-
Ahhhh.
You remind me of my youth.
Stoichkov and Balakov of Bulgaria are two players I had a lot of time for.
Even had Balakov's red predators.-
Letchkov
Kostadinov
Mihailov-
Letchkov. What a frigging header.
-
This
-
-
-
-
Fantastic player. Even amongst great players very few can raise the game of the whole team...He's one.
-
-
Koscielny is getting a distinct whiff of permacroc about him.
-
-
Getting that way for sure.
-
-
D1sable told me in pre season he was staying well away from Kos
He agreed Kos was better for BAPs but expected him to be constantly picking up injuries and on that basis he preferred saving 0,5 by getting Bellerin as he though he'd likely outscore him or at least get close due to more minutes -
I've given up on Kos, and they seem to manage fine without him. Wonder is Monreal their best defensive pick?
-
Actually...you might be right.
-
Completely ignored by the scout et al. May get in a few weeks if I get rid of Alexis from my team.
-
-
-
-
Are we still keen on United defenders?
-
Not with those fixtures
-
Take the money and run soon.
-
I'm keeping Darmian, I think. Purely as they just seem to be more solid, I know they fell apart a little against Swansea, but I can see more CS for them.
-
That was my feeling. Clearly bench some games, but Unifed seem solid
-
-
I'll be dumping Darmain after Sunderland.
-
Stocking with Shaw, should accrue a good few assists.
-
Looks better than Darmian tbh..
-
-
-
Worst start to a season ever. Even 6 years ago when I first played FPL I did better than how I have done this season. So would really appreciate any advice you can offer to get back on track. I have 2 million in the bank and 1FT.
Current team is:
Schmeichel Butland
Gomez Kompany Richards Ward Williams
Silva Sánchez Hoolahan Ritchie Mahrez
Agüero Gomis Diouf-
Save for this week. Bench Richards Ward and Diouf
2 FT's next week. Downgrade Hoolahan and upgrade Ritchie-
Thanks. Who would you downgrade Hoolahan to?
-
-
No serious surgery needed and decent squad for this week. Save FT.
-
Thanks. Hopefully it will turn around for me soon but a rank of outside 2 million is just shocking.
-
-
Ritchie to Payet or Ayew
-
I transferred Payet to Ritchie last week. Though Ayew might be a good pick.
-
-
-
When is scoutcast ?
-
tomorrow maybe.
-
Maybe Wednesday.
-
There's a scoutcast this week? My word.
-
-
-
Anyone on here play fifa/pes on laptop? I used to play Fifa but FIFA 15 was too powerful for my graphics card. I heard PES 16 is more friendly for lower specs laptops. Can anyone confirm this?
-
Henrik - Splash down
Rickie in the box seat now -
David Gold suggests Andy Carroll might make the bench v Newcastle
-
David Gold is one of the finest managers never to have won anything.
-
-
Who's the best value defender apart from Kolarov taking into account form, fixtures, attack potential, baps, etc?
-
Schlupp, allegedly.
-
Who alleged that? Is he nailed?
-
FFF
-
-
He denies this.
-
-
Kompany.
-
Hoping for non-City and cheaper
-
-
The answer in 2 weeks time is likely to be Evans. If he goes straight into the starting XI he's a steal
-
Thanks
-
if the answer is Evans then the question is not worth asking
-
I'd go further. Sack the question master.
-
😛
-
People can lol at my talk about Evans all they want. They did the same when I warned them about selling Lukaku after GW1 and look how that turned out
-
Evans will tease everyone first with an 8pt haul in his 1st game before being taken off injured after 11mins in his 2nd, and being ruled out for 3months. He is the needlevor of FPL.
-
I remember under Moyes RCA got him in and and i think he played like twice before getting injured
he was supposed to be out for 2-3 games, he was out for 11. RCA held him the entire time and endured 2 price drops. 1st game back
1 point,
-
-
-
-
Why are you now called Spineless Weasel?
-
In response to something Megatronaldinho posted a while back
-
Hmmm
-
-
-
-
-
-
Whats best for thé next fixtures ?
A . Silva and Payet
Or
B. Sterling and Pedro
Or
C. Yaya and Pedro-
A but all 3 are pretty close
-
So Pedro is not So interesting ?
-
-
A
-
A
-
Seems A is the consensus and i keep a free transfer....
-
-
Anyone care to suggest how to spend my 2 FT with the below team??
Butland
Williams\Kompany\Richards
Sanchez\Silva\Mahrez\Payet
Aguero\Benteke\Gomis
Mccarthy\Westwood\Gomez\Targett .2itb-
Seems a shame to waste one, but ...
-
I would sell bentek and but another premium defender
-
Read buy instead of but
-
-
Richards to Martin? Decent fixtures for Norwich coming up and has good attacking threat
Or Evans if Pulis hints he might start straight away-
I am thinking Richards > Someone. Martins could be a shout.. giving Tekkers couple more weeks think he may come good
-
-
Not fancy ditching Targett?
-
But for who?? Only have .2 itb
-
-
-
Pat Nevin expects the Republic to get zero points from the two games against Germany and Poland.
We don't care what you think Pat.
We have a shock in us yet.-
There's every chance that he's right though.
-
.....and there's also a chance that the Scots only get 3 points out of there last 2 games
-
You guys are threw... end of.
-
Through*
And its only a play off
-
-
-
-
He could be right
Main thing is, if Scotland lose to Poland next game,we get third -
Dunphy says we can beat Germany! We will score a scrappy set piece and get a 1-0 I can see it
-
Thank you Jon Walters, even though I think you're muck. We've probably an evens chance to get a point vs Germany and or Poland. Better odds than the Scots.
-
I think we will make play off and then lose to a bang average team
-
-
Have a great chance of getting something. This round of internationals swung firmly back in our favour.
-
-
Sagna flagged 🙁 There goes any potential price rise.
-
You not got Kolarov like the cool kids Declan?
-
Brought Sagna in last week, on WC now so may get Lord Aleks if Sagna is ruled out
-
Fair enough, that's unlucky. He was doing well and matching him for the price
-
-
-
-
Phil Jones once tore a hamstring doing this
-
...this really doesn't surprise me...
-
it was a joke buddy
but the fact that you bought it indicates just how likely the possibility of this actually happening is-
Indeed...indeed...
-
-
-
-
-
I saw the match and i didnt notice he was injured
-
-
Has Aguero got any more games to play in this international break?
-
Argentina play Mexico
-
when?
-
28h40m
-
cheers TM, do you have countdown timers for everything?
-
-
The post you rudely commented on had the answer :
http://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/comment/11157852-
Love you Balders but you just got scorched
-
Yeah I got called out like a mofo
-
-
-
-
-
Tomorrow I believe.
-
Tomorrow 3:30
-
-
-
Yep
-
-
Somewhat optimistic not owning a Swansea attacking this week, why is this? Same with captaining Alexis over Aguero.
-
attacker*
-
Watford have a good defensive record, especially at home. If it's a 0-0 game, I wouldn't be that surprised even as an Ayew and Gomis owner lol.
Captaining Mahrez here (over Sanchez and Aguero).-
That's an exciting move. Depending who my friends captain, Mahrez could be thrown into the hat late on for me too.
-
-
-
Anyone make early transfers and get an injury now?
Or am I stupid for saving?-
Both have their pros and cons.
-
Why would you be stupid for saving?
-
Lost a bit of team value because I didnt make transfers yet, also some players I might purchase went up in prise
-
Which players?
-
-
-
-
My other option using 2 FTs are Benteke\Westwood > Wilson\Ayew
Then hit the AoA chip and play this week with the below team???
Butland
Williams\Kompany
Sanchez\Silva\Mahrez\Payet\Ayew
Aguero\Benteke\Gomis
Mccarthy\Richards\Gomez\Targett
Original team in post above-
Sorry Wilson* instead of tekkers
-
Don't do it to yourself. Just tekkers to Wilson and bank the cash. You will need it at some point.
-
-
Naughton the best Swans defender (FPL)?
-
Yes imo
-
Williams
Absolute BAPs beast-
This.
-
Naughton has more BPS and more BAPS than Williams...
-
*Head explodes*
-
Williams has higher base BPS. Naughton got his from the one assist some fortunate cards, I believe.
Plus Williams will be immune to xmas rotation. Naughton may not be...-
Yeah..I'll take your word fot it...trouble is I can see quite a few assists for him with the way he and the Swans are looking. He could be a nice little Janmaat with CS's thrown in to the pot as well.

Anyone watch Apres Match of the Day!
The commercials were hilarious, I could barely breath-
So funny. I haven't actually loled at TV in a long time. Those fellas are hilarious.
-
can't have you smiling
here's a downer for you
http://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2015/09/07/the-big-numbers-gameweek-1-4-the-forwards/?hc_page=1#hc_comment_11178739-
heh heh you will never let me forget that one 😀
Mull has one too. Years back he recommended yer man Formica from Blackburn as my 4th mid. I had him for about 8 games and he got one assist. Little pansy of a player, so he was 😆-
I can't let you forget, if you do you might fall into the trap, it's for your own good
Ah Formica I remember him, I think I have somehow managed to avoid every sh!t FFS bandwagon bar one

"These shoes are great for your child to help his feet, especially when he is a girl"
-
-
What is it?
-
Irish television show
It basically takes the piss out of our team, manager, pundits, ads, heritage and its absolutely hilarious! If your not irish its probably awful though(or watch games on RTE-
I can get RTE so I must give it a watch 🙂
-
You'll love it or hate it!
Hopefully the former
-
-
-
-
Brilliant 🙂
-
That's class. My favourite was from 2010 and Des Cahill was interviewing Any Reid.
-
Yes, my favourite too, holy crap its awesome
-
A lot of brilliant ones but most outside Ireland don't get/ know Dunphy/ Giles etc as pundits.
Frank Stapleton cracks me up too.-
Although I will find the MOTD one with Lawro, thats class too.
-
-
I haven't seen that one before. Was laughing throughout. Brilliant. The 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35 kind of age. Haha.
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
Yeah watched it. Was hilarious.

Spread some butter on my arse there will ya tommy 😮
