Sunderland and Spurs locks horns at the Stadium of Light in Sunday’s lunchtime kick-off, with both teams searching for their first victory of the campaign. The Black Cats recovered from a dreadful opening two Gameweeks – in which they shipped seven goals – to record consecutive draws, while Spurs are unbeaten since a defeat to Manchester United in the opening Gameweek.

Although Sunderland’s rearguard have been breached the most frequently this season – and conceded the most shots inside the box (49) – their attack has been quietly efficient at the other end, boasting the second best shot conversion rate (17.6%) of any team in the league. That being said, only rivals Newcastle United have fashioned fewer attempts inside the area (18), which suggests they’ll struggle to maintain that scoring rate unless they create more.

With only three goals to their name – despite ranking joint-top for big chances (nine) and fourth for shots on target (23) – Spurs’ finishing has flattered to deceive thus far. The fact that Sunderland have conceded five more shots inside the box (29) in their home fixtures than any team, though, should serve as encouragement for the North London club’s forward contingent.

Watch Sunderlands conceded goals this season, now watch Cattermoles role in each.

The manager needs a player to blame it all on , for example - Mou has Ivanovic , Wenger has Giroud etc..

Starting to forget myself about virtually all of the good things that can happen in FPL. It's just been mediocre avenue that I've been driving on for some time now. And, as my team tends to look on paper, I'm driving a high performance vehicle. Just seems to be stuck in low gear.

I'm not ready to throw in the towel yet.

I would love to get some historical perspective on the start to this season. I expected that the elite players' relatively light summers would have primed them for strong openings to the season. One of the reasons 2015 seems so baffling to me is that I don't know who I want to bring in for my underperformers:

-- is it because there aren't many gems so far? We would need to know what the top 15-20 FPL scorers would have had after five gws in previous seasons.

-- is it because the captaincy failures have created a new normal where 40 is now a decent week? We would need to know what the weekly averages have been in previous seasons, and also what percentage of our points captains had provided us in the past.

-- is it because every single premium priced player has been a disappointment so far? We would need to get some stats on previous seasons opening five weeks to see how the heavy hitters have opened up in the past.

-- is it because the elite players are exhausted? Stats on previous summer schedules would be helpful.

Would Fpldiscovery be the best place to start looking? Any other FPL heavy sites with archives worth exploring?

Don't panic basically, don't waste chips either. It's been a highly unpredictable start to the season, form & patterns will come to the fore and then that's when we'll see the 'regulars' climbing the rankings.

Thoughts on hazard...most would say sell I reckon but I am inclined
    - fixtures really good from here on and on pens
    - sanchez is replacement but tougher fix
    - already lost 0.1m on him and will loose another 0.1 but if he scores a goal and price climbs..I can easily regain lost value as 0.1 price gain will increase my selling value by 0.1m
    - lack of other real alterntives

I'm fed up scratching my head over him.
Please think a bit for me and let me know what to do with him, when you get the answer! 😀

Just very grateful I didn't swap him for Sanchez or Pedro for a hit this week.

Anyone with Butland/ruddy with no pressing transfers thinking of getting cech, hart, de gea? Had enough of picking the wrong one and two very poor defences

Is it time to get rid of Sanchez? Or shall I give him a couple more weeks?

Watch yesterday's highlights then give him more time

I ditched him before last GW, I think it was. He, like Hazard, is just too expensive to be not doing the business right now. Can always get them type players back in later if they start to sparkle.

So if Aguero really did get injured for a long time, who would you get in instead?
As things stand, 4-5-1 is the best line-up this season :S

        This!
I'd go Benteke though. At least he can score even when the team is sh*t.
As everyone did in getting Begovic for Courtois! They must be crying right now!

    Cech, (McCarthy)
Darmian, Sagna, Gomez (Steven Taylor, Browning)
De bruyne, Depay, Mahrez, Hazard, Sanchez
    Kane, Wilson (armstrong)

Brought in KDB for silva at last minute and I must say he did impress, Alexis Sanchez basically threw away alot of points against Stoke 🙁 should I be patient with him? ... Hazard is due surely & I think its time i get rid of Kane after today perfomance at Sunderland.. any suggestions for game week6? i have 0.9 ITB
