Roberto Martinez is hopeful on Seamus Coleman ahead of the Swansea trip. Christian Eriksen will be assessed for Spurs, West Ham’s Pedro Obiang is a slight doubt for the trip to City after picking up a knock, whilst Arsene Wenger has yet to decide who starts up front for Arsenal’s trip to Chelsea.

Arsene Wenger has conceded that Per Mertesacker is still a doubt for Arsenal’s trip to Chelsea. The Gunners boss went on to say he has yet to decide whether Theo Walcott or Olivier Giroud will lead the line at Stamford Bridge.

Roberto Martinez has delivered a positive update on the hamstring injuries sustained by Seamus Coleman and Mo Besic in the win over Chelsea. The pair are responding well to treatment, with Martinez hopeful they’ll be back on Saturday or in midweek. Bryan Oviedo is also set to return in midweek, while Darron Gibson remains unavailable due to a lack of match fitness.

Pedro Obiang picked up a knock on his ankle in Monday’s win over Newcastle, though Slaven Bilic has since suggested that the midfielder should train ahead of the Etihad trip. Angelo Ogbonna is out for “a week or two weeks” with a hamstring injury, while elsewhere the Hammers will welcome back Adrian after suspension.

Norwich striker Gary Hooper is out for a number of weeks with an ankle injury. The on-loan Andre Wisdom is unavailable to face parent club Liverpool, whilst Lewis Grabban is also back in contention after stepping up his fitness.

Claudio Ranieri has confirmed that Nathan Dyer is ready to play at Stoke, after the winger sustained a head knock in the comeback win over Aston Villa. There are no fresh injury concerns, according to the Italian, with Matty James the only absentee.

Sunderland will be without Duncan Watmore for the trip to Bournemouth, with the forward failing to train having been laid low by illness during the week. In more positive news, Adam Johnson is back in the squad following a shoulder injury, while Steven Fletcher is also in contention after overcoming a knock. Dick Advocaat has confirmed he will retain last week’s 4-2-3-1 formation, with Ola Toivonen expected to tuck in behind Jermain Defoe through the middle.

Brendan Rodgers has admitted that Mamadou Sakho is in his plans for the home clash with Norwich after impressing against Bordeaux last night. The Reds boss rolled out a 3-4-2-1 formation for the trip to France, finally moving away from the much-criticised 4-3-3 set-up that’s seen the Merseysiders score just three times in the first five Gameweeks.

Garry Monk has revealed he has a fully-fit squad to choose from as Swansea play host to Everton. The Swans boss confirmed that Ki Sung-yeung is available after returning to training – the midfielder flew to South Korea last Saturday for the birth of his first child.

Quique Sanchez Flores has hinted that Ben Watson will step in for the suspended Valon Behrami as Watford travel to Newcastle. The Hornets boss also admitted he’s a little reluctant to fast-track his recent new signings into the starting XI. Discussing the likes of Nathan Ake, Adlene Guedioura, Victor Ibarbo, Obbi Oulare, Alessandro Diamanti and Steven Berghuis, the Spaniard went on to say: “When they are ready, physically and tactically, they are ready to go to the list”.

Mauricio Pochettino rolled out an injury update after Tottenham’s Europa League win last night. The Argentine is optimistic on Ryan Mason’s availability, whilst Christian Eriksen will be assessed and Moussa Dembele remains a doubt. Eric Dier was withdrawn with a knee knock in the 3-1 triumph but is expected to be available.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream as breaking news unfolds.

Well i've tried to explain, their start is deceiving with all the new players and fitness issues. But falling on deaf ears. I don't think many watched them vs Spurs. Defoe was a constant menace, Lens had chances. I'm not saying put your eggs in the Sunderland attacking basket as they'll come good now, but they need to be respected.

    Reduced repeat...

    This week - bench Pedro
Gw7 - Sterling & Gomez out / Kompnay & Payet in (double City DF!!)
    Gw8 - save
Gw9 - Wilson & Westwood out / Sako & Ighlo in (allows me to play 352)

    Opinions?

Who cares if Gomis doesn't get BPs?

He's scored 4 goals in 5 games. At that rate he'll clock up 170 points +

he doesnt need to score that many to hit 170 points. He only needs to average 4.33 pts per game going forward. Your calculation doesnt take into acct the fact he gets 2 points just for walking on the pitch(minus any cards) and also bonus points and assists that he will rack up.

He's unlikely to keep up that rate. And 170pts from someone who'd scored 25 goals wouldn't reflect their importance.

Shaw to WBA and save other ft? If you dont want to sell Pedro (and I wouldnt either), Kolarov/Gomez/Richards/WBA would be fine to play for one week IMO, and would avoid future benching issues you would get it you bought sako. Plus is sako even nailed?

Plenty on here considering wba double up, their clean sheets record has been very impressive since pulis took over (like top 2/3 in the league or something crazy) and fixtures arent bad

Not sure abou tthat, but as a long term investment, a WBA defender is about as solid as they come

Kind of wish Aguero wasn't playing this weekend as it makes choosing a captain easier lol. My captain choices this weekend: Kun, Sanchez, YaYa, Kolarov or even Wilson.

Anyone else debating their choice? Scared not to select Aguero because everyone has him as captain, so if he does well, I'd lose out and everyone else will gain. Ahhh

Noice little team you have there. Good to go. I have KdB and Ayew instead of Silva and Payet in your front 7. And i am changing Gomis to either Tekkers or Costa.

    There's been a lot of (understandable) chatter about Liverpool assets with the two upcoming solid home fixtures, followed by the Mersey derby which normally seems a few goals BUT I have concerns;

    -Three goals in five games
-Poor service to Benteke (look at the quality of goal he had to score vs United to get on the sheet)
-Players still learning to play with one another
-Played a strong team in Europa Thurs so potential for European hangover

It feels like a short term gamble, and if they blank in the first home fixture the transfer will already be a regret.

After due consideration, I think I will pursue a safer long-term change like a West Brom defender.

How do other people feel about the above points?

Fair comment. I just heard Coutinho and Gomez and saw some experienced heads alongside them . But you're right, it was more a selection from wider squad.

It would affect preparations to some degree what with a good portion of the squad absent from general training and the specific preparation for the European game but more limited than I first thought

11.3 is a bit too pricey considering there are better options this GW. Still, the fixtures after that are good, hence the logic in keeping

I was only going to transfer for Sanchez if anything because I don't want too much hassle in case one of them starts firing soon, and Chelsea always lift their game against Arsesnal.

Shaw broke his leg because I put him in my team the day before so I need a replacement.

    Who's best to join Kompany & Gomez at the back;

Darmian, Clyne, Cresswell, Bellerin, Williams, Dawson, Cedric?
