The first membersโ€™ article of the week arrives this evening as we delve into the data from Gameweek 6. We check in on Chelsea and West Bromโ€™s new attackers, assess Everton and Southamptonโ€™s lone strikers, and cast an eye over Liverpoolโ€™s main performers in light of Brendan Rodgers’ move to a 3-4-1-2 formation at home to Norwich.

Will Falcao or Remy start in the absence of Costa?

Ayew(sot) or Cedric(SWA). The latter is certain to start this week imo

Correct, but if Cedric starts, then there is more chance of Swansea (Ayew) scoring ๐Ÿ˜‰

Although Cedric was more successful at getting clean sheets than Yoshida so I'm not so sure.

Cedric has been shown up speed wise by Kone and Lukaku even at home.

Montero will be tricky for him and with those balls that Jonjo and Siggy love to play....I think Cedric will be very exposed this GW given he's always looking to attack.

Montero does like to embarrass attacking RB's so that is an interesting point.

Everton and Swansea drew 0-0 last week though and for some reason i consider Southampton to be a very similar team to Everton. I'm not sure if others feel the same way.

That's a good point. I was worried about Everton being in good form so I benched Naughton, but one poster (can't rmbr who) advised that we will never know which EVE shows up and suggested I play Naughton.

Needless to say I didn't follow his advise and was made to pay for it.

Ayew against Targett could get interesting and messy. I'd play the attacking player Ryan - Southampton haven't looked good defensively against attack-minded teams.

Are Swansea attacking minded though? they've blanked in their last two games.

Depends on your definition of attacking minded I guess. To me they are but very reliant on the form of Jonjo and Siggyy. Like I mentioned above, they're not the type of team that consistently attacks all game long with take-ons and crosses, but Jonjo and Siggy will always be looking for clever through balls instead of square passes, with Ayew/Gomis/Montero working the channels

    Hi all.

    WC still open. Input?

    Myhill McCarthy
    Kola Azpi Dawson Francis Targett
    Sanchez KDB Payet Mahrez Westwood
    Kun Martial (c) Ighalo.

    0.2 ITB

Shipped YYT and got in KDB after yesterdays impressive performance.
Westwood leaves me the option of not stressing all week on which of the 5 midfielders to bench, but still plays (and is on set/pens - corredct?).

    Cheers.

Targett needs to go with Bertrand coming back, unless your heart is set on a very cheap DEF.

Also not a fan of Payet & Mahrez, think you'll need 3 big hitters (Hazard) in there if you're on a WC

Consider upgrading Targett as he may not be nailed for much longer.
      Consider swapping Sanchez for Hazard

But to do those moves you would need more than 0.2. Not sure if there are any mids below 4.5 you could replace Westwood with in order to generate a bit more cash.

      Rest looks v good.

I am a little bit in the dark as to what to do from a transfer perspective. Annoyingly I have no nothing ITB, but I do have 2 FTs.

    Mignolet (McCarthy)
    Kolarov Williams Azpi (Bassong Richards)
    Sanchez Silva Payet Mahrez (Westwood)
    Kun Gomis Sakho

Would like to get in Hazard in place of Alexis, but 0.3 short. A number of ways to finance it, but not sure which way to go. Any suggestions appreciated, thanks.

Thanks. Yes, one I have been pondering as well, but loathed to get rid of Sakho due to West Ham's upcoming fixtures. I guess Payet could be sufficient "cover" but since West Ham are among the top scorers in the league, I don't mind having 2 from them.

I have to second this. To me Sakho isn't in form, his goal at the weekend was just a scrappy scrambled attempt. I think Payet is enough and Wilson/Ighalo are both in form and extremely good value.

Good point, I watched the City game and Sakho seemed to spend more time on the floor than on his feet. Actually, selling him for Ighalo gives me enough to switch Silva for Hazard and leave Sanchez for one more week. Cheers.

Thanks, yes, looks decent, although Gomis' stats still look relatively strong. Guess is depends how much I want Hazard, although I do prefer getting rid of Sanchez rather than Silva (depending on fitness). City's fixtures still look ridiculous up until GW12.

    Sagna Cameron

    Couthinio Payet yaya Hollahan Hazard

    Martial (C)l Kun Wilson

I'd suggested that Sako over performed the first 2 games since nobody really knew he was and they tried their best to mark Zaha/Puncheon etc leaving a lot of space for him to work in.. Just check the space he had to play in vs both Chelsea and Villa. Now that they are showing him the respect he deserves he's quietened down.

not sure that AOA is that great a chip, certainly not one for a DGW. The other chips are better for that

"Arguably, though, this chip has the potential to frustrate Fantasy managers. Only seven midfielders and six forwards managed double-figure hauls during last season’s doubles, compared to five keepers and 15 defenders." DGW can be profitable for defenders as well..

That would mean making sure I have filled my team with attacking players from those teams...I'm considering strongly this week due to my defence playing tough fixtures with low chance of clean sheets

First, Swansea isn't worth two attackers in the team.

Yeah its a huge reversal of a bandwagon after just two blanks, one of which they had numerous chances in. I only own gomis but no plans to get rid of him given he's still nailed and Swansea fixtures short term are fine.

Swansea stats have dropped in recent weeks (allegedly - I've not bothered to check). It's mostly the emergence of what seem to be better or more 'in' options like Payet and Martial.

Well given that Aguero and Sanchez continue to let us down i think you can justify the Martial option considering Sunderlands defence.

even if Aguero or Sanchez do well you still get there points and they are more highly owned then Martial so the Martial move has the most chance for significant rise in rank

Even though he has struggled in front of goal and i doubt he will play 90 i still think Aguero has the highest ceiling the way City are creating chances at will.

If i had KDB or Silva was starting i like them too.
