Fantasy points will be earned and squandered across a half-dozen mid-afternoon fixtures this Saturday, with Arsenal’s home tie against Sunderland harbouring real promise on the attacking front.

Over the last four Gameweeks, no team has amassed more big chances (13) than the Gunners. Moreover, the North London outfit rank second for shots inside the box (81) and big chances (22) in home matches, despite playing just six of their 14 fixtures at the Emirates. That being said, the Black Cats have battened down the hatches of late, conceding zero goals and the fifth-fewest shots inside the box (10) across the last two Gameweeks.

Swansea City will attempt to be the first team to prevent Leicester City scoring when Claudio Ranieri’s troops march up to the Liberty Stadium. The Swans are in the midst of their worst form under Garry Monk, having tasted victory just once in the last 10 Gameweeks. As for the Foxes, they’re unbeaten in seven matches and are yet to be defeated on the road. Behind Arsenal (16 goals), Leicester have been the most lethal (15 goals) travelling side.

Tottenham Hotspur could extend their unbeaten streak to 14 matches with a result at West Bromwich Albion. Only Everton (27) chalked up more shots on target than Spurs (26) over the last four Gameweeks, so the Baggies rearguard is likely to have their work cut out. On that note, the Lilywhites will be buoyed by the fact that West Brom have conceded more goals at home (13) than any team in the league.

Watford play host to a Norwich City side that’s addressed their defensive frailties in recent weeks, conceding just two goals across match-ups with Chelsea and Arsenal. Speaking of defensive issues, Southampton welcome Aston Villa to St Mary’s Stadium in the wake of a 6-1 mauling by Liverpool; Saints are also on a two-match losing streak in the league so will be desperate to rebound against a floundering Villains team. Capping off the three o’clock kick-offs, Manchester United lock horns with West Ham United at Old Trafford; the Red Devils have conceded just one goal at home, which paints a bleak picture for the Hammers’ embattled forward line.

Maybe we should just get the budget midfielders.
Barkley, Mahrez, Arnautovic, Bolasie and Alli.

Premium midfielders have been very disappointing.
