    Anyone here know how to reorder a set of data in excel?

    For example, if I had a couple of sets of data such as:

    Vardy 9
    Lukaku 7
    Kane 8
    Ighalo 5
    Aguero 4

    And

    Lukaku 8
    Kane 6
    Vardy 3
    Aguero 2
    Ighalo 1

    Where the players name is in once cell, with the figure in the one adjacent to it.

    Hypothetically if I were to copy one set of data across, and wanted to place the other next to it like:

    Vardy 9 3
    Lukaku 7 8
    .
    .
    .
    etc.

    How would one do this automatically? Am I able to sort it so that the data rearranges itself to match the corresponding player, because, as in the example, the order isn't the same.

    I know you can do it manually but that isn't an option for the scale I am actually working with.

      If that reads a little ambiguously then I'll put it into context.

      I want columns which represent GWs, and row for the players. The names will be down the left and side with the scores each GW across the different columns.

      I want to paste in the data each GW so that it matches the corresponding player.

      If the second figure is supposed to be in a separate column to the other text, vlookup. If in the same cell, split into columns with space as a separator, and then use concatenate.

      You could just sort the names of both lists a-z and copy one column of the numbers across to the list. This would work if the players were exactly the same in both lists

        & as others have said vlookup will definitely do it and won't be prone to error like my suggestion above... vlookup is incredibly powerful so if you have a spare 10mins I would definitely learn how to use it

    Oxlade Chamberlain really does need to leave Arsenal, he's going backwards. Best for both parties, Arsenal need to sign an upgrade and Chamberlain needs regular minutes.

          He's our second best CB, but did have a few bad matches and can also be poor on the ball! Think Monk is just trying different options, Amat should be given a go too, definitely better than Bartley!

      I got rid of Vardy and KdB last week on WC for Ozil and Kun.

      Spent 4 pt hit to get them back this week (Kun and Sanchez).

      A sad waste of a wildcard especially as I had 2 FT last week which I lost when I wild carded.
