Sunday’s solitary Premier League showcase matches up two sides with conflicting form. Newcastle were sucked into the relegation zone following two heavy defeats at the hands of Leicester and Crystal Palace, while Liverpool have thrashed Southampton (Capital One Cup) and Manchester City (league) during the last fortnight.

The Magpies rank second for goals conceded (eight) and top for shots inside the box conceded (42) over the last four Gameweeks. Allied to that, no side has allowed more shots inside the box (69) in their home fixtures, underlining Newcastle’s ongoing travails at the back. Those Fantasy managers who’ve recruited from Liverpool’s defence will be encouraged that the Tyneside’s have notched a pitiful three big chances and nine shots on target over the last four Gameweeks.

The Reds’ attacking quartet flourished in the last four Gameweeks, tallying the second-most attempts (62) and most shots inside the box (44). Moreover, only Bournemouth (55) fashioned more key passes (55) during that period. The Merseysiders’ rearguard held up their end of the deal, too, restricting their adversaries to the joint-fewest shots inside the box (19).

Myhill has 2 bad fixtures and then they turn pretty favourable, that being said im not sure about his chances of starting for the whole of the season.

Coutinho doesnt look like hes coming back anytime soon, though Mane is the one to shift

You will lose a lot of TV if you bought him early, so i'd only do it if your certain your not going to want him back when the fixture ease.

Idea for new FPL rule - "Clean Sheet Cash Out"

If a player has a CS after 60 mins - any time between that and full time you can elect to "cash out" your clean sheet. But if you do, you lost any attacking points they subsequently score. Cards would still count either way as would Bonus.

I've always said they should give the one pt for 60 mins CS anyway even if they concede afterwards. It would balance up the pts potential across the game a little between all three positions

Don't like it. Part of the joy and pain of an FPL manager is yourself or a rival conceding to a 94th minute 25yarder to lose the clean sheet.

I mean, I hope he gets better, and he probably will.

Based on 20 minutes or was this opinion based on his other performances?

ML leader has Mignolet and Clyne, I only have Moreno.

I guess a couple of assists for him plus BAPs, with Clyne picking up a booking and Newcastle sneaking a goal is what I need to hope for.

First time I've seen Ibe. He's going to be a decent player.

Not sure he is good enough for this Liverpool side.

Perhaps not yet but looks like he has the potential.

Was rated better than Sterling at academy level.

Agree with this. I saw him on loan for Derby vs us (Reading) last season and he looked pretty good then as well.

          Could've been a Moreno assist.

I get why you'd play Cisse but given NEW are going to b chasing the ball most of the time, this feels like a game Mitrovic is suited to.

Giroud's OG was a better finish than that Benteke.

        Should be putting those away.
