There’s been plenty of work going on behind the scenes at FantasyBet this week. The most important change is the introduction of multiple entry games, which are listed in the game picks section below – essentially, it’s also now possible to enter two teams in the Fantasy Football Scout Picks league.
They’ve also updated the “create a game” page – if you have any queries or feedback for the FantasyBet team get in touch at support@fantasybet.com.
If you are unfamiliar with FantasyBet it is particularly accessible for those who play Fantasy Premier League, as it uses the same initial player prices and has a similar scoring system.
Check out this video to see how team creation works.
MY TEAM
This is the team I will play in the weekly free-roll game, which covers all ten fixtures:
Jack Butland (4.5m)
Toby Alderweireld (5.5m)
Aleksandar Kolarov (6m)
Alberto Moreno (5m)
Kevin De Bruyne (10.5m)
Marko Arnautovic (6m)
Matt Ritchie (5.5m)
Mesut Ozil (8.5m)
Romelu Lukaku (9m)
Harry Kane (9.5m)
Olivier Giroud (8.5m)
KEY PICKS
Jack Butland The Potters shot stopper continued a remarkable run of form against Manchester City last time out, registering a sixth shut out in eight Gameweeks. A trip to West Ham bodes well for Butland’s prospects of further defensive returns this weekend, with the Hammers down to the bare bones up top after Victor Moses and Manuel Lanzini joined Dimitri Payet and Diafra Sakho on the sidelines.
Toby Alderweireld The ex-Atletico central defender has settled in quickly at Spurs, with two goals and a pair of assists to his name already. A clean sheet against Chelsea in their last home match bodes well for Tottenham’s prospects against a Newcastle side that have scored just three times in seven road trips thus far.
Marko Arnautovic A brace against Manchester City brought the Austrian’s total to five strikes in just 14 appearances – his best goal tally in three seasons. Involved in over 50% of Stoke’s goals so far, Arnautovic looks in fine form as he pays visit to a West Ham side that’s managed one clean sheet in ten and is devoid of injured skipper Winston Reid.
Olivier Giroud A midweek hat-trick at Olympiacos was the first time the Frenchman has netted more than once in a match this term, though a goal every 90 minutes in the league and Europe is a reassuring sign of consistency. Mesut Ozil’s mercurial support from midfield should help maintain Giroud’s momentum as the Gunners travel to basement-dwellers Aston Villa.
THIS WEEK’S GAME PICKS
As always the best place to start if you’re new to FantasyBet is the weekly freeroll, where you can set up a free team and compete against the team above for a £100 pot.
It is now possible to have multiple entries (up to five per contest) in the following games this week:
The Grand Saturday is FantasyBet’s biggest game, where your compete for a £1000 guaranteed prize pool on a £5.50 buy in.
There’s the Super Sunday game, which has £300 up for grabs, each team costs £3.30 to enter.
The Weekend Flash game is the other multiple entry tournament, this is £5.50 per squad with
a £150 guaranteed in pay-outs.
LAST WEEK
I earned a third-place finish in the free-roll last week – I captained Odion Ighalo and selected hat-trick hero Riyad Mahrez, while United duo Chris Smalling and David De Gea bagged clean sheets to ensure a high finish. With a similar team, Yabadabadabadu topped the £1000 pot with 85 points. I picked up £9 from the big pot and £6 from the Saturday double-up to leave £120.29 in the kitty.
THIS WEEK’S STAKE
I will enter The Grand Saturday contest, both of the £100 freerolls, the FFScout Picks League and the Super Sunday game for a total stake of £9.90.
In addition, I’ll be going up against Shaktimaan, the Community champion in this week’s Scout Picks. He will be taking me on in a specially set up head to head game for a chance to win free entry into a £400 Guaranteed ‘Big Weekly’ game worth £22.
Also, the Community Champion who beats the Scout Picks by the highest margin every month will win a free entry into the £500 guaranteed ‘Boss’ game worth £55. The Scouts beat Jose’s Magic Omelette by 45 to 32 points last week.
FFSCOUT PICKS LEAGUE
Reedy topped last week’s Scout Picks League with 85 points – a double-up of Watford duo Odion Ighalo and Troy Deeney matched Riyad Mahrez’ 21 points, and Aaron Ramsey’s 11 points were the other notable contribution.
Once again, FantasyBet have provided a £100 pot for the FFScout Picks League – with a £1.10 stake for entry, it is now possible to enter two teams into this contest. I will enter our Scout Picks as closely as possible, given a 15-man squad is required with the 100m budget and a captain also needs to be selected.
Feel free to go up against them this week and pick your own squad on FantasyBet.
