Not lazy it's just that defense is a complete crapshoot this year. I really can't see guaranteed CS anywhere. Not like last year where you could trot out a Chelsea defender and Clyne/Bertrand double up every week and know you had 18pts in the bag

I think dele ali is the the biggest bargain in FPL currently
Depends if you need the cash and how often you expect to play them.
with there not being a rush to bring aguero in i dont think money is a problem at all. Ali probably the best 5th mid for xmas period.
Better option for sure. My cheapest mid might be Bolasie.

From gameweek 19-25, a lot of teams go on a run of 2 consecutive homes then 2 consecutive aways, followed by 2 consecutive homes or vice versa. Some even continue the run up to gw27. I've never noticed that before, is that normal ?
They all do I think. Good way to make the most of the home games.

I'm slowly becoming convinced Vardy won't play this week. We'll await the presser of course but the guy needs a rest and has an injury niggle. I think its a risk keeping unless you are really confident in your 5th mid/4th defender

That's a tough one, I like C but your AOA could be wasted if Vardy don't play. Maybe just do C and bench Vardy without AOA. A is a good option too because with Butland heroics it's important to have some Stoke defensive cover. Not B, one week too early for them

Get rid of VVD. If you want a Stoke lad, maybe plump for Pieters? Not earning interest on that money in the bank.
Is he a better option? Just checked his ppg, 3.5 compared to Wolly's 4.5. I'll use that money to upgrade my mids, or get Aguero if he's on fire again.
He's at least a shout for attacking returns, Pieters. Can get an assist here or there. I guess Wolly is sort of a bap magnet. Idk. I don't like Wolly 🙂 He didn't treat me well last season.

With Kolarov and Monreal, I'd be tempted to upgrade Browning if you have a spare FT. Worst result is a 0 for 3rd defender.

Settlers of Catan, now there is a board game. Finally got into it recently when staying at a mates place. Going to have to convince the family its a game worth having for Christmas.
How complex is it? It is difficult to get people to learn something new
Its surprisingly easy. Took 1 or 2 goes and then you know the basics pretty well.
Have seen it here and there but never really wanted to spend the $45 or whatever for a game. Maybe will reconsider. How many people do you need to play?

Everything improves. I have been telling Diva my woes for a while now. It hasn't been easy but it gets better.

I love this game.
Such a good game. Will appeal to most on here I think because it is a proper strategy game.
I only know how to play the basic version, there are some other variants as well. This game is a lot more fun than other board games, you need not only luck but also strategy. I learned from some German friends when I was studying abroad, missed this game so much, because no one really knows how to play this game in my country. Luckily I managed to find a DOS version of this game, so I can still play but with computer 😛

I downloaded many years ago, more than 10 years IIRC, I doubt I still have the link. Probably can try some abandonware or old DOS game sites.
I can probably find a modern version. I see there is an app on my Iphone I could download. Its really cheap too.
Oh... I have never tried that before. Still enjoy more to play with human instead of computer. If you are lucky, there are some sites that you can still get a legal copy of any DOS version games with little or no cost.
Yeah, I'll have a hunt around. I see there is an online Catan community who play each other online. Not a bad alternative if you have no one around to play the classic board game.

Would like to apologise in advance to the 2.4M owners of Mahrez.
My faith in Mane has blunted by ability this season to make a meaningful climb up the rankings. I've kept him in as a differential in the hope that Mahrez was a flash in the pan and Mane would serve up the points whilst Mahrez flattered to deceive. It has backfired.
And now I've conceded defeat and added Mahrez to my ranks. From here on in he will flop spectacularly. Be prepared.
ThanksWell Mahrez is a must at this stage surely. Mane however is well overdue so I wouldn't be surprised if he picks up.
